Thank you for keeping it authentic. We have all been there. Insult to injury is when you need to pay someone to fix it. I'm glad you didn't have to do that.
My dad did that once. New MacDon 50' flex draper. There is a row of wheels underneath. It f'd that head up good. I got the call on the radio. I unload on the fly until I'm empty enough that I can finish the opening pass. Fold my auger in... leaving the un-loader running. Cart took off in front of me. It's the opening pass so there was nothing behind me. Just me in a wheat field sending everything right over the side. I was hot. Sent everybody home. I came damn close to lighting a match that day.
Every year, I say the same thing. That's incredible looking wheat! I'm afraid the crain on my service truck wouldn't be heavy enough for what you need. It's only 4,000 pounds. But once you have one ,you'll wonder how you did without it.
Yes a service truck with a crane, big compressor and the shop of tools in it would be great, but You along with the rest of us make due with a toolbox in the back of the pickup and a pail of parts. Next time I am out your way, I am going to drop off a bunch of pressurized water extinguishers. Have a bunch of extras in my shop taking up space.
You must look at Warren's repair truck on Western Truck and Tractor repair. My Dad used to say that "Improvisation is the Mother of invention". Nice fix !
G whiz Andy turn the auto steer on in the combine. That would help a little bit.🤦♀️😂😂 I know he said no GPS😢😢. You should be able to land that drone on the back of the combine right behind the green tank. appreciate your effort, sir. Thanks very much.
Hey Andy that Freightliner that left your father stranded would probably make a nice down payment on a service truck with a crane and a BIG vise. Advertise a trade first and see what that makes if anything. That's a nice stand of wheat!!! Lots of good straw afterwards too...
Great video have to check Richie Brothers to see if any of Cat service trucks are coming up for auction will what you were talking about, will have to get a 👩🚒 hat.👍🚜
Wheat is looking good. Straw looks thick too. Things do happen. Just glad no one was hurt.. could have been really bad. Looks like you have some "Dock" growing in places though the field?
Enjoy your videos more than any other farming channel! All breakdowns suck, self inflected ones seem to bite just a little bit harder. Do you grow the wheat for the straw and a cash crop or do you also use the grain in your feed ration? I'm guessing you use the straw for bedding somewhere (really haven't seen it), but maybe not. Or do I have it totally wrong?
At 14:30 reminds me of the typical day's chaos in a manufacturing plant with things always breaking or going wrong, where you spend too much time running around "putting out fires." We sometimes referred to it as spending our day "Stomping on Flaming Ducks!"
Bidenomics at its best. Folks need to learn to vote for particle policies that favor American buisness and citizens…. And not be emotional about folks they LIKE or dislike…
Driving the combine flying a drone unloading,a couple of small waves in your cut line Andy if it was me you would have cuts all over the field on different angles lol good content team well done
maybe you can trade in the Peterbilt on a service truck with a crane and bumper vise? I have never seen you stick a rod -- does your welder have "hot start" or are you just that good? (I am definitely that bad and can't not stick a rod)
He's not the only one if you want real entertainment in farming go check out Boehm farm. Newest thing they have is a 4-150 White. Or maybe the 1086 is newer. I'm not sure.
Andy isn’t a utube farmer. He’s a dairy farmer that puts videos of his daily operations on utube. He is way above all the flash and jazz and ones that walk around half naked.
How in the hell are you combining, flying drones, commentating....... Pretty multi-capable young man. And, for that, I will completely ignore that little skip. 😃
@@FarmingFixingFabricating I don't know how you do all you do. Your knowledge of so many different things old school and then you are flying drones and riding E-bikes. Love your channel.
Hi from oz andy. An old engineer years ago told me NEVER weld equal gussets/brackets together. Stagger them. Together you create a new weak spot where it will break next time. By staggering you spread the weakness of the weld over a larger area thereby having a higher minimum strength.
Is there a sensor that automatically adjust the ground to header height? Looks like it moves up and down and the combine looks like it’s riding flat. Thanks for the vids, they are all interesting.
Just wondering what road the cleverly farm ,is located on ,the facility you lease out that milks cows, just wondering in locating to home farm ,so I can G.P.S it,I'd you do nt mind
Keep your eyes on Ebay motors. They have all kinds for sale. Some are good to go while others may need a new used motor for cheap if you can do the work.
Something I dont understand is ? with an operation with that size of yours ? youre not having a bigger Combine, that quite optimizes the harvest time ??? of yours ? :)
They don't harvest much grain. Lmao they're a dairy farm not a grain farm. Most of their acres go through the chopper and it needs replaced ( or just a second unit added ) way more than they need a bigger combine.
Wtf are you on about he definitely takes it a lot easier on his employees when they f stuff up than anybody I've ever seen. You should come work for me. I've had people quit on the spot 😂😂
Farming fixing and fires while fabricating. The fun never ends.
This is the BEST farming video EVER! Evan with a mishap the team just gets it done. THAT"S REAL! Nice video Andy.

Andy, sh*t happens, good job on the repairs. Very good wheat crop and the corn looks good from the drone.
“STUFF “ absolutely happens. It’s all about how you handle the little things…
EXCELLENT!
That little straw fire was probably just a test, ... to verify that the wheat is dry enough to cut.
That "oops" could have been a lot worse than it was. Thank you for another Great video. Cheers

Andy you are an awesome dude. Keep it up stay safe
Thanks for another great video. I help a buddy with harvest in Eastern WA state and the issues you have are universal!!
I was cringed as you were getting ready to weld with all that straw around. I was hoping the dew was as heavy as you said!!
Great video. The Wheat crop looks good.
Another very interesting video Thank you Andy 😊😊😊
Cooking seals over an open not good for them as well. 🤣 Great field repair job.
Always love your bush fixes
It's on its way it will make a nice addition to the farm😊
Bummer Andy.
Nice fix .

Fire and straw what could go wrong. I admire your skills
Another good one Andy 👍🇺🇸🚜
You can see how much you care about the viewer fa🎉mily. You are a blessed man. Your family are all hard workers.
welding in a wheat field here in the south, you'd need to be close to a water source

Hi Andy !
Good job !
Thanks Andy for your time and have a good day at the farm ! 💖🙋♂️
You deserve a service rig.
With everything you have in your shop, I can't believe your service truck doesn't have a vice on the back. Just kidding, totally enjoy your videos.

They already sold didn’t they?
Good thing that new service truck is on its way up. Too bad it’s a day late and a dollar short on this job.
Yeah couple days late for sure
Treat yourself to a new used service truck. From what I see you could justify buying one.

Thanks. Looks like nice crops
Don’t catch the straw on fire 🔥

A great video,

I guess it's time to invest in a crane for your service truck and The vise
Welding overtop of a window of straw!!! Good way to burn the combine and the field.
Great video Andy time for a newer and bigger service truck
Thanks for the video Andy!!
Next video, new bumper vise and crane for service truck!

DJI MINI PRO 4.
Excellent drone.
Sounds like u need a new service truck!
What kind of wheat are you harvesting?
Is it a hard or soft variety?
Put a utility body on your 3500 Ford pickup
Hey Andy? Do you use wheat within the rations you feed your dairy herd? Or is the wheat produced on your farm strictly a cash crop?
Cash crop
Wow didn't think any youtube farmers would lower themselves to actually handsteering a combine 😂😂😂😂

Need the woelkers boom crane on that big bud
Hello . I want to experience it one. Great!!
Where's the water truck Andy? Could have done with a splash under the head before you started welding.
Seems that we need that service truck soon.
Fab. vdeo. Just like the title says. I'm new to the channel. How does a big LLC afford these repairs? Do employees get fired for accidents?
Would bailing corn stocks work in your operation

That doesn’t apply to this type of weld….. if I were to have welded it around the circumferences then that would apply but I did not
Well this engieer told me you should never have welded gussets finishing at the same spot on the rod. @@FarmingFixingFabricating
