I'm done with comics I'm sorry but I hate and I do mean HATE the whole let's just throw shit and more shit and even more SHIT to stick to the old SHIT mentality that comics have nowadays. I understand that you can't kill off a hero or a villain because they need all that money in your pockets but, when you purposely negate the power set of a character to make them win or lose. It leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. And don't forget that other superhero teams do exist even if they're not popular, so someone like The Inhumans or Eternals is just sitting back with a bucket of popcorn watching the world end. Not to mention the aneurysm-inducing plot holes that are wide enough for Manifold to transport universes though! Let's not forget that this era also brought us the information that Jean was sleeping with both Logan and Scott which made me love all three of those characters a little less because if you want to be gay you want to be bi have at it just have a little respect for yourself tho. I mean sloppy seconds and thirds are just gross. Imagine if you had two different versions of Jean with all the Resurrection shenanigans going on one with Logan and one with Scott. Just think of what they could have done if they did that and then the Phoenix shows up all confused because there are two authentic Jean Greys no! I'm just too old for this silly let's have our cake and eat it mentality that people have had with comics! The superhero Renaissance is finally dead! Now let's let them rest and move on!

Well said & you're not wrong in anyway! I'll be 54 in September & I stopped actively reading & collecting in 2001 when they had the actors in the X-Books! There's been way too much agendas & plain garbage in the last 23 years then actual good & great stuff & because Disney's in charge it's just straight agendas regardless of consequences!

I became indifferent towards this series about a year and half ago and cancelled my Marvel subscription, but I still enjoyed some of the highlights on Comic Breakdown. The progression was too slow as more subplots and convolutions were piled on top of what was already confusing. Don’t even get me started on the innumerable inconsistencies and contradictions that exist between House/Powers of X, X Lives/Deaths of Wolverine, and Sins of Sinister. Add up the throw away DEI series that didn’t advance anything like X Factor and many other titles; compounded by the slapdash wrap up of the Krakoan Era and you have the best X men story that could have been.
I'm glad it came down to Storm finally fighting him. She was the only one yet to do so. Storm > Nimrod, Sinister, Vulcan, Tarn, Genesis, and Xavier, to name a few......Krakoa lives ❤

We sorta got Storm and Cyclops vs Nimrod but it was more like Storm finishing the job issue . Suprise suprise,another one 😅. Loved the artwork .

This whole era was a slow burn that turned into a flashfire. They are going to be wrapping this all up before summer.
With magneto resurrection I expected a lot more with the master of magnetism

@@ODMossJr81 I thought it was a decent build up from when he had his heart punched out to facing himself through the shadow king in death. Not to mention resurrecting with the “ I am power” statement. Just thought we was gonna get something fresh with him and more powerful feats

Decades ago by now, Grant Morrison's entire point in Here Comes Tomorrow is that if you allow unlimited resurrection, eventually you will just get stories looping back and consuming bits and pieces of themselves over and over again, in a meta-story equivalent to Sublime the villain.

I actually liked Nimrod and i thought he was an interesting character. Especially, if he had the ability to understand humanity and grow from it. Also, I'm happy omega sentient is alive because she wasn't in control. I know she hates herself for everything she did even if it wasn't her.
Y’know what sucks? Resurrection is off the table, so they can’t finally free Karima from the sentinel crap. Because they’ve already shown that the Five can resurrect non-mutants
@@devegas4910 Fr, because she didn't want any of that. It was kind of just thrown onto her. Now she got to live with the machine in the back of her head. That's ruff. Also, I don't get why Wolverine is saying anything when he is no different from her. Like, there's literally something in the back of his head ready to come out and kill anything within reach of him.

I really really am trying to like Fall of X but it's been letting me down ever since I found out that these storylines don't mean much for characters and their development.
Kitty and what's going on with her,.Storm and the avengers, Heck even Beast.
Amd to top it off, Cyclops and Jean story is forced on us again. Like I am truly trying to like the X men but it's been the same song and dance most big event.
"Something too big for us to handle so we need jean to save us but she dies, and we retcon the Pheonix and Jean hears Cyclops voice before she dies, stays alive face the big bad and everyone is save and Humans hate mutants again. Oh wait, the government needs a secret organization to go track down mutants." Yep think that sums most of it up
That's the X gene right there. I liked more the part of the Rise of the Power of X than Fall.

Love them highlighting Storm coming through to save the day. Categorizing Cyclops as an Omega seemed like a stretch. This whole ending seemed rushed, but im excite for what is to come

Storm and Magneto are the most badass duo/group there is in Marvel Comics, since the A.X.E. event.
Also, how Storm defended Magento in 97 animation, lays the foundation of a power team despite having different ideologies.
Magneto always respected Storm even admired her. He knows deep down she could beat him and that she holds back her true power's.

Why was Storm the only scenario Nimrod didn’t plan for?
She was off the board, having gone into the literal afterlife to save and bring back Magneto during most of Fall of X. I think Nimrod just didn’t think it was possible for her to be a current factor.

I was disappointed by this issue. It was missing other mutants who should have been included in the final fight with the Nimrods and ORCHIS including Iceman, Bishop, Cable (or Kid Cable), Madelyne Pryor, Havok, Betsy Braddock, Domino, Juggernaut, Exodus, Forge, etc. - what the hell happened to them while all of this was going on?
They are all either busy or just missing in action😅
Appreciate the videos you make. The quality of X-Men stories themselves though has taken a hit. In the past Storm's lightning wouldn't make a dent on Nimrod. There's nothing clever about his end. The desperate angle of the phoenix rising yet again makes it feel like an X-Men running gag as opposed to something serious. Magneto saying "I underestimated you before" lol. Who would underestimate Nimrod, who killed him already many times over. The writing just isn't great these days.

Wanted more but the people have scared the writers enough that they did what they thought the majority of the fans wanted.hickman brought me back to comics with this storyline now everyone wants to go back to the old way.youre gettig ya wish hope it doesn’t go back to the goofy stories of the 2000s😱
Excellent video but this issue suffers from the biggest flaw of the fall of krakoa era its rushed
I thought Nimrod was never as strong as the first attack on the mother mold when he sacrificed one his instances (duplicates) to absorb the black hole bomb or whatever WMD it was. If you recall that was when the remaining essence and memories of Dr. Gregory’s husband were lost. I believe another duplicate of Nimrod was destroyed a few episodes back as well, so wouldn’t Nimrod technically be weaker than before?
I was really looking forward this battle and i enjoyed it but woah Storm is written so inconsistently...from struggling with a stark sentinel to defeating multiple nimrods...
Soon we will have the Dawn of X

I wish we got a Apocalypse vs Nimrod as a final battle but I'm always happy to see that they are showing storm off (also the only Mutate right now that hasn't died if not mistaken) and Cyclopes was he always saying "storm" would not let him die or "Jean" 🤔 but like you said Krakoa seems perfectly fine and almost everyone is back on the island and hopefully Omega Sentinel will turn good like they really should have done with Sabertooth killed him and resurrected the "Axis" version him.
Also where TF is Rasputin🤨 unless she too was on the island

OK I’m not gonna say anything about Paoul the whole thing was done as far as the event I will leave that for everybody else to be have their own opinion. But damn though they gave everyone some do especially cyclops magneto Polaris storm manifold even! Regardless of whether or not it goes down based off of fan reception or critical claim I don’t care I love this!

He can copy Storm powers too. Too much rush. What happened to the heroes gathering up on Nim. At least they had many four omega mutants fighting Nim.

Maybe I'm missing something here but as I see it neither Nimrod or Omega sentinel are pure AI as in they both come from human minds and that has been their demise. One more thing, with all these duplicates Nimrod feels like a cheaper version of Ultron.

I like it but it was super rushed. Kinda contradicted Nimrods power to adapt. Remember he can copy powers. They didn't wanw let Nimrod keep winning 😊
I see a flaw in the writing of this story. Cyclops is not an Omega level mutant, nor is he the toughest X-man.

Kitty and Khamala were searching for him but he disguised himself with his telepathy . You would think that if you're going to kill the most powerful telepath you would be better prepared .Not sure why that part was skipped in the video .

@@johnmiller6776 he had his cerebro on his head while he was disguising himself and he said that he didn't doubted Scott a bit when Kitty and Khamala were passing ,and that Xavier was not ready for his game to be over ,the writers kinda imply that he planned for all of this to happen sorta , he did something to Moira too when he traveled to her first life so we'll see his endgame .

While I appreciate the story and how epic their were going for, I feel it really suffered from too many connected issues. They didn't gel to cohesively. I feel it would have been way better to have a crossover like messiah complex were each book county as a chapter. Also have the end of xforce, this, and sabertooth war going at the samw time, it's hard to tell where wolverine is actually supposed to be. I hope they don't continue this way of storytelling.

Y'all act like Nimrod wasn't fighting Magneto, Polaris,Storm,Cyk, and the rest. Storm can't beat Nimrod by herself and cut it out with Cyclops

Felt rushed. Felt half assed. Felt like this entire battle should gave been a three part mini series with far more mutants fight way more nimrods that have anticipated damn near all of them.
I mean this could gave turned into its own story arch for the next 12-24 months with the stuff that a lot of us fans could have come up with even if mutants lost, and the universe or whatever retreated them to mars. Tgen you get the house of nimrod story, and with the mutants gone the rest of humanity and its heroes have to fight nimrod who then joins with ultron making it a far bigger threat.
Avengers FF are fighting back but are overwhelmed even with with the help of (fill in the blanks team and etc) and humanity are getting rounded up for extermination by the Ai nimrods,
Ultranimrods, discover the magical properties of mysterium start getting power jacked by dormammu,
Alm that happening on earth while the mutant race is on mars with storm rallying the solar systems mutants to invade earth to liberate the humans from the Ai ultranimrods.
I mean THAT would be epic. But no.
Oh and then the shi’ar show up to help the mutants cuz the ultra nimrods have attracted the attention from the phalanx, the kree and skrulls show up, guardians show up, the eternals get absorbed by the phalanx,
Reed, cable, bishop, manifold and doom comes up with a way to use the ultimate nullifyier to fix things by erasing nimrod since hes the root cause of all these problems throughout the time stream but needs the space, time and reality gem to do it.
Theres some kangs that show up thru this storyline…
I mean its easy to roll this into such a greater epic after this mediocre experience.
