- Breath Of The Wild is easily shown as being a peaceful, calming world, while other Zelda games focus much more on a creepy, strange atmosphere, but Breath Of The Wild does have some very strange and scary things and places if you know where to look...

Any more creepy things / places? Let me know and maybe I'll make a part 2 :P
Yeah that would be cool!
I always thought that the Island next to the lost woods that spawn skeletal monsters if you rest there until night was kinda mysterious.
@@sephikong7880 You mean Mekar Island? :)
@@InfamousZelda Yes
@@sephikong7880 Yeah Mekar island is a little strange 🤔
Still to this day I'm scared to know what the crazy flower lady did to Link 😳😬😂
Me too 👀
Poor guy
I swear I really want to complete every shrine but if that is the result.... sheesh.
Maybe he went through a little chemistry with the flower lady.
AYO
well, it's not really creepy, but I've been waiting for someone to look at Crenel Hills by Hyrule Castle. It's the place with all the broken and hollow tree trunks with wizzrobes and a shrine. it's just always kinda been weird to me
Yes I agree! The wizzrobes are creepy enough, maybe I'll do a video on it 👀
@@InfamousZelda yes! It's always kinda freaked me out, especially when the chuchus popped out of the ground, and the tall tree trunk with a bunch of keese
AHHHH ITS FLOWERBLIGHT GANON!!!
Seriously she's flowerblight ganon
😂😂
I like to call her Grassblight Gannon
Have you heard of Hino, the one who studies moons at the dueling peaks stable?
He goes bananas when a blood moon is about to start
gr….gr….gr….
I've talked to the Horned Statue but I don't remember the dialogue being so creepy!!
Great video IZ!
Thanks my guy! :)
That and waiting at Fort Hateno till 9pm for the cursed statue. That part was always unsettling to me.
The master cycle is a lifesaver, its headlights are very useful on the thyflo ruins
The guardian room after you get that treasure chest xD
Yes!
If you paid for the DLC, don't forget to get that other item (It lets you choose a spot to warp to in any area) FIRST or you are hosed, hosed, hosed if you attempt to go back later....or open the treasure chest first.
Yiga clan dude right outside of impa's village... eek. Also that cutscene where zelda tells you to be on your guard
hahhhaa loved the ending!! That girl is definitely the MOST terrifying thing in botw!
I actually found Naydras quest/lanaryu mountain to be kinda creepy. So that was probably the worst for me. Oh and the Lanaryu road gave off some creepy vibes the first time I went there, I don't go there much.
Thanks a lot Hazel :) I am very happy you enjoyed the video! I can see what you mean about the Naydra Quest :P
The great dragon theme put me off ease when it suddenly goes higher pitched.
I hate that the first photo that I ever took of Naydra during my second playthrough was Naydra covered in malice.
I screamed in horror at the thumbnail. Those trees are the reasons why I rarely went into the Lost Woods. They're so terrifying, even little old me gets nightmares.
Haha 😄
@@InfamousZelda 😂
Judging by the trailers I hope botw have more creepy stuff. A game that has a balance of multiple moods is the most impressive 😂
I agree
Darn! I wish I could recall some of the other creepy locations in Hyrule, but I'm drawing a blank. 😅
Nice video boss!
Yeah i get that, I really hope we get some more creepy locations in botw 2!
@@InfamousZelda As do I! But not too many hopefully. 😁 I don't want to be scared out of my mind for the entire game!
@@TheBreadPirate Hahaha
you should've included the basement of lomei labyrinth island because when i went in there i was terrified lmao
Honestly, visiting the Zonai Ruins also kind of gives me a creepy vibe knowing that it used to be the home of an ancient tribe from long ago. Sometimes when I revisit the ruins I sometimes feel the sensation that I’m being watched by the spirits of dead Zonai people or even sometimes I get the feeling they aren’t even dead at all but somewhere in a secret lair plotting for something BIG. Like after visiting the Spring of Courage. I noticed a giant door like structure on the wall behind the dragon’s head.
The Zonai as a whole are kinda creepy due to the mystery around them, hopefully botw 2 will help us out with understanding who they were :P
Their ruins, especially the mazes, are the only parts of the game that feel culturally alien, whereas we can kind of tell that the ancient Hylian and the desert ruins have a relatability to them
well well 👀
Scariest HAS to be the dark section of the middle trials for trial of the sword. I absolutely hate the pitch black game mechanic
Great video
Man I just love this game. I beat BOTW back when it came out then dropped it altogether for years. Just a few weeks ago I started a new game since I forgot most of the game, and it’s like playing the game for the first time again. And honestly this is probably the only game I’ve really replayed like this. I’ve played many many games… but this game is so rich with content and immersive, it’s easily my favorite video game. I havent even played the dlc, I’m so excited to get back into this world
Your music choices work. See ya IZ!!
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Blood Moon.
The Eighth Heroine. Who was she? Why is she so far removed and freezing alone up there in the cold, misty highlands?
That area with the cursed statue whose eyes glow… is that a cemetery for Hateno village?
That one shrine by that woman who is the horrible cook, just surrounded by death rot and flies…
....... 👀
One thing you forgot:
That pile of bones in Hyrule castle that becomes a Stalnox... I wet my pants during my first playthrough
Hahaha, me too! :'D
Lol, I found the horned statue and it FREAKED ME OUT as a kid!! I had nightmares for a week...
Spooky stuff
Magda is such a let down as a final "creepy" thing 😅 like the video overall, but despite her intense zoom in, she's so very tame that she should of been the first on the list if anything 😂
Infact the npc who kept snuggling and talking to a shrine orb deliriously is creepier to me(forgot where she is tho 😅)
In comparison to Dead Hand, Majora's Wraith, the Ghost Ship, and Death Sword, I'd say that BotW is a pretty tame Zelda game.
at 11:35 in the captions he put terrifying. lol
Magda : I will make you understand... THE FLOWERS' RAGE **Drags link into the shadow temple**
Idk how oyu have so less followers.this video is amzing.
Thank you dude!
@@InfamousZelda no need to thank me. Im just expressing the truth. Definitely should have more subs.
@@hollowknightplayer2051 Eventually! XD
Botw has triggered my flight or fight every time I hear a piano solo
😂
I did the ruins thing with urbosas fury, it’s like night vision
😅
what kind of video editing software do you use?
I use Davinci Resolve, it's a free editing software, it's a little confusing at first but CZcams will help you out a ton! :)
No matter how badass of a warrior Link is, Magda still gives him a beatdown he probably deserved for being a douche to her flowers.
Magda is a scary women 😂
@@InfamousZelda She is the reborn version of Ganon's mom if she can give him a beatdown. ;)
@@ZeoViolet 😂😂😂
wait, do you mean flowerblight ganon?
@@rubber_man647 That deserves fanart.
i’d argue botw can rival majoras mask in creepiness at some points
When I walked into the forgotten temple for the first time I was said oh oh oh
😂
how do u not have so many more followers?!
Maybe one day :D
Hino during a blood moon at dueling peaks stable
I miss the creepy atmosphere of the shadow temple i want them to bring that back in another zelda game
Me too! :(
@@InfamousZelda i really hope that when the new game comes out it contains some kind of temple like that.
@@konhishamaru9864 Yeah I hope so aswell, just more creepy places would be great!
@@InfamousZelda be happy when they port/remaster zelda oot too the switch ^-^
10:16
🤣🤣🤣
I actually liked the horse god! I found his design more interesting than scary, I knew of his existence before playing the game myself so maybe that helped soften the surprise. 😅
I also believe we need to speak about the Gerudo Highlands more! I'm not sure but, big open snowy landscapes especially at night unsettle me, like an isolated feeling, and knowing at any moment an enemy could pop out definitely kept me to the high grounds haha
Flower ladies stare made my heart sink
😁
The final trials
Mine is first yiga encounters, guardian, and first blood moon
I'm surprised that you didn't mention the island that is near the lost woods ( sorry I forgot the name) 😅
idk why but deya village ruins petrifyes me to death
Calling it: the Blood Moon is on this list.
5:30 that wall kinda looks like squidward
I can see that 👀
The scary part when ben drowned
Imagine playing this stuff in VR 💀
IKR!
I'm about to finish botw but the thing is I'm scared of the demonic guardians
Of course Flowerblight is on here. Lmao.
😂😂
Is it bad that this didnt scare me lol
I cut the flowers
Foilage!? Do you mean FOLIAGE?
Yes! Unfortunately words sometimes get mispronounced when recording the audio 😅
Hyrule castle isn’t creepy replace it with the blood moon
That's a redead not a gibdos.
ONLY 399
edit: oh my God I got a heart
:D
I still think the Horse Fairy is a female, all the other fairies are
Most likely
as a zelda veteran who never played this game, this is entertaining and saves me the time of actually playing the game.
* Fo-li-age 😂 Just playing. Except, not... sorry. Enjoyed the video
I am totally aware I mispronounced the word, when reading from a script you don't always take note of how you pronounce things 🤦♂️😂 Thanks for watching friend 😃
🤣🤣🤣
No offence, but none of these things were creepy. Well maybe except Typhlo Ruins, but that’s just about it. Everything else really isn’t creepy at all.
I just get the impression this video was made purely because you, and perhaps other people were desperate to find creepy locations in BOTW because people love to find whatever creepy content they can in Zelda games. I could be wrong, but that’s the impression I got.
I think BOTW 2 will probably take a much darker approach, and will basically be the Majora’s Mask version of BOTW, like how BOTW could be considered similar to Ocarina of Time. So I think it’s fair to assume that BOTW 2 will have more creepy things in store for players rather than BOTW.
Meanwhile, maybe you could do another list similar to this one, except instead of focussing on the creepy locations of BOTW specifically, maybe you could find 10 or more creepy locations from all the other different Zelda games since there isn’t really a list like that on CZcams so far.
