My next video... How i fucked up and ruined everything for my team.
Seriously tho. First of all it was dumb as fuck to tap the screen no questions about it.. its just unacceptable. However my intensions were ofcourse not to destroy anything. If i was really angry and wanted to destroy it i would have kicked it so damn hard it would of landed outside the arena. I used really little force. As you can see the umpire sitting 20cm away from the screen didnt even notice or react to it. However It was extremely stupid and unnecessary .. but i own up to my mistake and i will have to deal with knowing i ruined my good friends and teammates chances of a medal which i can tell u right now 6hours after the incident isnt easy. Probably the most dissapointed and angry i have been at myself in years. It was a good match that shouldnt have ended this way. Well deserved for Marcos he did very well. And even tho it doesnt feel right to lose this way, i congratulate Portugal for making it to the semis.

I was about to write something condemning Lind but that I recalled all my f*ck up moments I did in frustration when losing. Even though it was some amatory tournaments that globally mean nothing in the end.
So yeah, it's easy to judge someone but when you are there trying so hard to win but still losing it's really hard to handle and take a lot of effort to handle
I would suggest to have some safe cabin nearby tennis table where angry player can enter and quickly break something or throw the racket and than come out of it in piece

Not a big fan of Lind's frequent tantrums but I think he got unlucky here. Had he kicked anything other than that screen like the table or the ball, he would have ended up with only a yellow card but that screen broke (so easily) so his action caused actual physical damage.
Hopefully Lind will learn something from this experience especially since it impacted the entire team and his teammates as well. It's a big price to pay.

To his defense. The kick was anything but strong. It was as strong as how it would be by accidently stepping on it. Which can happen having your mind completely focused on the match or some mistakes flashing through your mind you would like to correct after such a loss. BUT as it seems, it didn't seem unintentional.

@@erstonoutway7281 The crux of your comment basically boils down to Anders doing it unintentionally. You're the one running to his defense regarding this. My point is, intentional or not, he had the chance to rectify his mistake. Instead of owning up to it and immediately informing the umpire of the mistake and give his sincere apologies, he tried to play it off like he didn't notice even though he was caught on camera reacting to the broken screen.
You're saying in his defense, I'm saying no he deserves all of this. Intentional or not, he had the chance to rectify it, but he didn't took ot and instead tried to have it swept under the rug by walking away and not acknowledging what he did. Heck if he would've just did what I mentioned earlier, his team might still be allowed to play.

@@erstonoutway7281 So "To his defense", which you actually wrote in the very first sentence of your post is just not a thing now? Ayt, you do you buddy.
Nah I've read what you said, but you're post in and of itself can be misconstrued. I know you're trying to point out that those screens are flimsy and he's being a twat about it. But those are still not a valid reason to go about it. Other players are letting there emotions get the better of them? Well just call it for what it is. They're being a twat about it! Truls and Alexis at times. Heck even Ruwen had his twat like moments.
It doesn't matter if the screens are flimsy, you're not even suppose to touch it, period. Doesn't matter if you have the emotional quotient of a hobgoblin, be a freaking adult and take your loss. It's fine to show frustrations, just be mature and be professional about it.

  • @manuelschneider3988
    @manuelschneider3988 Před 8 měsíci +2

I would say the penalty is justified but (in its consequences) not deserved.
TT is all about focus and concentration. You need to calm yourself and neutralise your emotions (at least the negative ones) to bring your best performance.
I guess that's why the rules in TT are very strict in situations like these... Besides the fact that no one wants their equipment destroyed.
Anders knows the rules and so the penalty is fair enough.
Still I feel he was very unlucky here, as it seemingly didn't take a lot to break the screen. It doesn't seem like he wanted to destroy it. He just kicked what was right in front of him and it happened to break.
The worst thing is the situation in which the whole Denmark team lost all their chances after playing a great tournament...
For Anders I just hope he will be able to control his emotions better, in the future. But I think this was a very memorable lesson.
All the best to you, man ✊

Anders Lind seemed so nervous from the start. He seemed not to be mentally ready for this match. Overstimulated I guess. Easily distracted by the net balls. Even he had the chance to hit some of those balls he could not make it. He had his turning points but could not keep up the rhythm. I guess he was concerned about the outcome of the match way too much that lost his nerves. He is a player of quality and creativity no doubt about it and I like to watch him. I like to watch Freitas too. He played well and even though he fell backwards at some point he managed to pull himself together. Nevertheless, the match was intense and entertaining. Congrats to both sides. Sorry for the discarding.

Stop with your stereotypical expression "Karen" which has nothing to do with the behavior you are criticizing

if he kicked a barrier or normal umpire box with that same force, nobody would have even given this a second thought. Players dish that kind of small little thing out ALLLLL the time and it's totally mindless. But because he both mindlessly and carelessly did it to a giant fragile screen, everyone is calling his character into question. Seems a bit ridiculous to me. I think he could have definitely apologized or acknowledged it in a better way, but the action itself is a dime a dozen level outburst and we see much worse weekly if you keep up with leagues and tournaments at all.

Red card for this is a joke. Just because the screen turned off.

Talented player with lacking mental strength. So much drama and fanboyism always accompanies that :)

Lol bien fait pour lui. Ce joueur est détestable et a vraiment une sale mentalité. En plus il pénalise son equipe... pff ridicule. Bonne décision des arbitres. 👏
