This is one of the great things about Babymetal. You never know what you're gonna get. But whatever it is, it's guaranteed to be done extremely well.

Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐
Another song with that typical wtf effect they get us used to it.
Queen SuMetal is narrating us a King's tale of the Metal Kingdom with this psytrance mixed with middle eastern, Egyptian, Arabian or whatever sound that looks so cool with the unique blend of BM.
This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, last April 2nd.
Some fans at Sabaton's Europe Tour are enjoying this song live, but everyone is having a blast with the new singles and classic BM songs.
Remember the premise with BM: "Don't think, feel."😉
Thanks for sharing this and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥

Don't box yourself into what you think metal should be or should not. Open your mind to the different worlds of BABYMETAL. This album, The Other One, represents different worlds in the metalverse. I am amazed how varied each BABYMETAL song is and i love it. I grew bored with metal because it was all the same flavour and getting stale.
This is an absolute banger and on serious repeat in my playlist. The heavy drum beat, the guitar solos that sound like a Mizmar (middle eastern double reed instrument), the haunting background vocals, the Egyptian vibes from the visuals and choreography... all of it just hits rock solid!

Haha Great reaction. "METALIZMIZUMIZUMU" - great song - Middle Eastern/Egyptian/Arabian (or similar) trance metal at its best.🤘🦊🤘
It is BABYMETAL, expect the unexpected ... and it is BABYMETAL, they can make anything work and sound great and they can make me like all sorts of musical styles and genres I don't normally enjoy - I don't know how they do it, but they do!🦊

    Arabian psytrance metal! 🤘
You hear "metarizumuzumuzumu" repeated a lot in two sections of the song where in the official lyrics the lines are represented each time by a single "METALIZM."
The katakana pronunciation of METALIZM is メタリズム/Metarizumu.
    Metarizumuzumuzumu = メタリズム/Metarizumu (metal rhythm) + ズムズム/zumuzumu (thrumming (e.g., with excitement)).

Yup, funny thing about The OTHER ONE, it has some of the most metal riffs by BM, yet it can't be labeled as a metal album, it's ... undefined, METALIZM being the champion of that! It's a mix of so many things, but it runs as a clock. Many didn't like the album, some still does not, but I think it's really, really amazing.

Their is a fan who makes long form videos and tries to figure out what a Babymetal song is all about, getting as deep as possible. His CZcams channel is: AJ Hartley, he has done a video about this song: Metalizm: BABYMETAL reaction/walkthrough #37 with AJ Hartley and musicologist, Dr. Kelsey Klotz

Su smashed Bollywood metal with Shanti shanti shanti, had Sabaton dancing to her euro polka beat with Oh Majinai, and now she's got Arabian/Egyptian metal with Metalizm... this is my fave so far from the new album... This is like a darker sister of Shanti Shanti, love the way she does that yodeling thing with vocals, the choreo looks a lot like Shanti Shanti Shanti too.🤘🦊🤘

  • @road-runner

    That was a reaction! Hahaha...
The fact Su-metal described this as "chaotic" says a lot. They are using a kind of minor harmonic scale very common in Middle Eastern music. And I'm not gonna lie, I was expecting something crazy, just like this.
This music video has the studio recording so it's probably programmed drums. But I've seen this performed live and it's waaaaaaay better. Barone's drums sound incredible and those solo are so freaking amazing. You clearly need a live version, unfortunately there is no pro-shot available... until June 26th. 😁

    My thoughts....
For this song Babymetal went back to the dark origin called Babylon. The music and visuals are a major influence.
The name Babymetal is split up in Baby and Metal. Metal is the music, and Baby clearly comes from Babylon.
Koba is a genius when it comes to using cultural, meta-physical and plain occult elements into this band.
Still, it's not a cult. It's great music, and I love it !!

I don't like this song too, its weird to my ears.
now you have to react to Arkadia (try to find the best sounding live possible, iam not able to put the link), you have to..dont debate me LOL
You will surprised to know who is drumming for them, Anthony Barones.
I don't really like the new babymetal but I have to admit that arkadia is on the another level of power metal, that song is beyond goooooood..!!
    Thank you.
