@@ohrats731 , their trips were from 1889 -1890. They died in the 1920s (specifically, 1922 and 1929). While it's possible it was related to the trip, you'd probably have an easier time linking old age or the 1918 flu pandemic than their trip that happened over 30 years prior.

Also, I love Nellie Bly. Her story is fascinating. Her undercover reporting also exposed a serious problem with mental health facilities. She wrote a book about it called "10 days in a mad house."

They did a Drunk History episode on her at the mental hospital with Laura Dern!

I knew it. She was also the journalist who changed mental health care by pretending to be crazy and getting institutionalized for 10 days. Drunk History also made an episode of that with a different actress.
You can tell that every actor that participates in this show has a great time. It’s just so over the top and bombastic that you can’t help having a good time

Bly needs to be taught more in school. I think I only came across her when researching for a psych class in high school. Then sadly forgot about it. Then read a book told by Lois Lane (the series starts to dwindle in quality) but she loves Nellie Bly.

Unfortunately traveling around the World has become a lot more dangerous. Just back in 2018 two Swedish Women were trying to hitchhike their way around the World. They got through Europe ok but then were found murdered in Morocco.
One Norwegian and one Dane, surely? I'm not sure if they were going for a full circumnavigation though.

I wonder if Ellie Kemper was actually lipsynching out loud. Actually vocalizing to the existing track makes the synching look more natural, as opposed to just moving your lips silently. And I think that's why I felt she was less convincing than other actors on this show. (Not that I could do it, mind you...)
