- Elon Musk’s SpaceX has successfully launched Starship, its superheavy rocket that the billionaire believes can carry mankind to the Moon, Mars and beyond.
Starship’s previous three test flights ended with a fiery explosion for the 400ft tall launcher, but each made incremental progress and gathered fresh data.
The mission had been expected to blast off from Starbase in Texas at 7am local time - or 1pm UK time - however a last minute delay has pushed the timetable back by 50 minutes. Lift off is now expected at 7.50am US central time.

your telling me the title isnt trying to say it failed?!
this is a miracle
If it had failed it would be called "Elon Musk's" rocket. Because it succeeded, it's called "Space X"
Stainless steel 🤣
Damaged but still-actuating flap is my hero.
it melted and broke in half, was literally hanging on by a thread
@@sessionQ Ah, It's just a flap wound.
The way it screams its defiance to gravity as it launches its bulk is blood curling. Amazing.
Nice share, Telegraph. Congrats SpaceX. Incredible progress and commitment.
Elon should have named it The Black Night instead of Starship, because it was like every time a piece came off it was like it said "HA! A mere scratch!"
42:30 did anyone else see something fly off, probably not big deal but still intriguing
All the remains of the old satellites. There are supposedly about 25,000 pieces of debris around The Earth.
its just ice "falling off" as the RCS fires
Amazing flight! Seeing a live video feed during re-entry was a first and unbelievable!
Love the camera angles capturing the true size of that thing. It's a flying building
Cool design of rocket and space ship
The flap stayed on! Very very impressive!
Extreme temperature on return to earth day, be careful! Physical friction friction + speed detachment of the taylesmosaic.
awesome good job SpaceX, but lets all just ignore all them flying objects going in and out of earth... and no im not talking about the tumbling ice ... 41:10 through 44:50
I imagine everythig will fall back to earth and burn on reentry, since starship wasn't actually in orbit. But yeah that is a problem, just not yet.
Amazing ! 👏👏👏Congrats, SpaceX ! ❤❤❤
Incrível 🪀🌫🩹
Is that a UFO 38:53
Not VerrrrrHereCall then?
Super super super Space X & NASA ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Let's Volt in
Why does the launch go against the rotation of Earth?
simply said: it doesn't
Alguém assistindo??😊😊😊
Maezawas life savings burning here.
None of his money went to this launch
A Starship parachute is never too big for the skies. A giant parachute that can roll out from the side of the starship belly while it's facing downward on its belly when entering Earth's atmosphere and branch out to support starship and when it reaches a certain level inside the atmosphere it disconnects from starship while still connected to a long rope at the center of the parachute so when parachute pulls on starship the center will fold inward releasing the air pressure and starship could then pull the parachute back into the side of starship before it can land between the chopsticks. This will prevent the Earth's atmosphere pressure and vibrations from turning into electricity and then a burn that will eat away any material through powerful vibrations. This can also prevent crashing on impact and guarantee a safe landing which is much safer than an airplane.
I know the parachute ideal will work because in the military they use parachutes to drop army tanks from the sky yes! from the sky.
The rocket parachute will keep the rocket supported and safe from the atmosphere pressure.
The parachute can also take a lot of pressure off of the heat shields and guarantee a safe landing on Mars.
A roll in and out mechanism parachute system is another good operational option for SpaceX starship landing..
tank is magnitudes lighter than starship. Starship's dry mass is over 200 tons
Oh
show the full clip...not cgi
this is the full clip... the "cgi" part is just where is lost fkin signal
@@BobaPhettaminenope this whole video is obviously cgi
5 years and people going to mars... whens the last time ya said that...

What if the Star ship had its speed slowed down before entering the earth's atmosphere... of course with a system of adding braking rockets so that there was still plenty of fuel available for landing... to reduce friction with the earth's atmosphere
Starship basically hit 0 before beginning its return. Gravity would mean constant rocket fire to control speed.
Also this re-entry is SLOW compared to how fast it would be going if it were actually coming back from the moon.
because it's unnecessary
This has been a fantastic week for space travel across the board. Except for North Korea, they failed.
😮😮😮
15:16 What’s that flying in the atmosphere?
starship flight 3
its just material burning up happens on every re-entry
The colour tshirt is cool
By testing and blowing it , again and again SpaceX going right way !!!! People must understand that no testing and failing happen , it is a the way to test and learn and in the end .....win !!! The best spending of peoples money and time . Great launch and view , thanks .
Science, love it.
Is starship able to hold four tanks of fuel. Two for getting up into space and two for refuelling a ship in space.
they haven't made the refuelling star ship yet that will be a long time down the line, where the crew and cargo area is on the normal star ship will just be a huge tank full of fuel for refuelling other star ships in earths orbit
Elon Elon wow..this man is so not human..how does he do all these things ✋🏾
We're are small civilization!
space may be the final frontier but its made in a hollywood basement...
💜💜💜💜💜
❤
I want that tshirt
I'd be even more happier if there was a flat earther on board ;)
Profesionals will not waste their time and resources with someone "dont believe" something engineer's use every day
Wow God bless South African technology what a man Elon is.
South African technology?
@@Chiefsavage23 Elon is a South African that happen to live in america.
@@user-rm3gx3zu9r but the engineering and creative design team is American, he’s not in a room creating blueprints and working this rocket all by himself.
@@Chiefsavage23 I dare say some are american but many many will not be, america has a long history of importing talent from all over the world. This doesn't make the people american, they just live in america.
🤣🤝👌🏻👍🏻💖✨️💖🙋🏻♀️🇵🇪
I had a theory about using a power source for the rockets propulsion system using a variable adjusting frequency or resonance generator wich is matched to the frequency of the sun which could be connected to a Florence light engine ...this technology could be applied for use for energy in the public or mainstream
😂😂😂
Risky not recovering - the Chinese will go get it ????
Nope, the vehicle will have broken up and sank not long after splashdown
Sunk? Well how to analyze the re entry heat effects?
@@pauljefferies9087 the data from the mission was streamed to MCC-X via Starlink.
It was scuttled immediately

MH370 area
The bar was lowered to it smashing into the water as a win...
Getting a second stage space ship back from orbit for re-use is incredibly difficult and nobody else than SpaceX is doing it.
Imagine thinking doing something that nobody has ever been capable of before as a failure.
It did a gentle touch down on the water it didn’t smash into anything
@@bb5979 yeah all those space shuttles never landed on dry land did they, and those were never re used either 😂😂😂 40 year old tech
@@entropyachieved750 Remind me, did the shuttles boosters also perform a landing? Because I'm pretty sure they didn't.

Don't be stupid propaganda Mr. Musk spends a lot of time in Russia to play with the hyperloops.
get off the internet spaz
Wow, it hit the water. 🤦🏻
No that was the point it did the controlled splashed down
it was supposed to 🙂
It's in its iterative testing, development and data collection phase.
And compared to the third launch, they absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one!!
Matt, the prehistoric troglodyte.
@@gamers-xh3uc I’m aware of that. I just think Musk is a demon and hoping the company fails. I support decent companies.
Ukraine flag being clueless, what a surprise
They gone put guns n ish on it next, it's the United States 😅
Mannnn if u thinking like me , 😅, why do i feel like they're trying to make a bumb or kat and brown are tell the truth about going to space 🚀. But idk 😅
