Tbh, I like that this relationship is unfolding in the background without our input. Making a story quest out of it would kind of break that organic feel to it, imo.
If we were to go the route of assigning a quest to them, perhaps a new daily commission in Liyue that comes up on occasion. Nadia or Vlad have been given an extra long assignment that will prevent them from leaving their letter for the other. So they post a commission for someone to take the letter to the bank to drop off since they will be unable to do so themselves promptly. When approaching the bank, you can steal a look at the letter to see what they're writing to each other, similar to Chang IX's daily commission.
Just my two cents.
@Jon Vivero It is nice that it unfolds naturally, but my big problem with Genshin as whole, is that the npcs of the game don't feel alive in any fashion. Unless changed by an event their daily lives revolve the exact same way. Now to implement a revolution of different tasks they do and paths they take, would probably result in huge amounts of coding that I wouldn't bestow on my worst enemy. But they still feel a little hollow
and then there's a sailor in Liyue that's supposedly cheating on 3 women at the same time 💀

Also I’ve really rooted for those 2 to meet each other while reading their dialogues in-game, great to know they did!
This is one of the things I love about Genshin. They actually give the background characters a story and some personality instead of just making them lifeless NPCs like many other games do.

You should try playing trails in the sky if you like NPCs with their own lives ^^
Plus now a lot NPC have unique idle animation, especially in Sumeru from dancing, playing TCG, duck peted etc
Then Hoyo will throw a curve ball and kill one of em.
I would genuinely play an entire 11 hours archon quest of just Nadia and Vlad😆
I swear those Fetuis are the ones that are going to help the traveler to get Snezhnaya no doubt cuz they are one of the nicest Fetui that the Traveler has meet.

If Vlad/Nadia is somehow a superior in status to one or the other in the workplace, then workplace relationships are strictly forbidden due to the power dynamics that could happen. I'm not sure what kind of position either Nadia or Vlad has within the Northland Bank, but they're relationship could be risky for the bank at best.

If you ask the fortune teller girl in Sumeru about your love life prospects, they say you'll be surrounded by people in love with you or something along those lines.
@@elementual I didn't go through that quest yet, but I do have to say, as happy as it makes me, it could also just mean those people adore/respect/etc. the traveler. It's not necessarily to be taken in a romantic way. But nevertheless, adding a dating feature on an action RPG game is most likely impossible anyway.

Genshin has my favorite npcs in existence. They’ve got their own personalities, they’ve got backstories that aren’t just empty plot devices, and you just kind of discover them on your own through talking to npc’s naturally. It’s things mihoyo didn’t have to do, but did anyway.

Yeah so uh there’s this one very highly rated chiscara fic on ao3 where Nadia is childr’s aunt and she’s getting married to Vlad and childe and Scaramouche have to fake date for the wedding it’s really cute and Vladia is a side ship but there’s this one sentence that describes them kissing a bit more spicing than the others would like during the wedding and it’s just mainly super cute

One of the things i like abt genshin is the constant reminder that we are all human inside, who have emotions, family, and love life. Even the members of the fatui, the organization painted as the big bad guy of the story. Perhaps not the harbingers, but when you look at what the foot soldiers and perhaps the seemingly unsignificant NPC have gone through, boi they have so many heart-wrenching stories..
