    A bit of extra info. The island where the festival was supposed to take place on kicked them out because the current owner of the island wants to "clean up" the image of the island so it doesn't gets associated with Pablo Escobar anymore, the deal he made was that he would host the Fyre Festival, but only if the ads for the festival made no allusion to the island being once owned by Pablo Escobar or anyone else related to him or his drug empire, and since that was the first thing they did, he called of the deal and didn't allow them to use the island.

    Pal of mine got a major bacterial infection through a wound on her foot at Reading festival back in college. A little bit of glass cut her and next thing you know her foots at risk of being chopped. So your right to say unsanitary

      Cuts in your feet are indeed very dangerous, they connect straight up to your major blood vessels and are hard to keep clean ones you get the cut so healing might not go great. There's a reason every decent military teach foot care.

      @chronosclaimsall Před rokem +2

      @@kyuokuo I don't think they deserve ALL the blame, but there should be some onus on them to at least research the product/service/event they are advertising and/or alert their audience if they find out something sketchy is going on. If they researched beforehand and still got duped then I don't think it's their fault, but if they just took the money and said whatever they were told then yeah I think they should at least be held somewhat accountable. They are advertising their sponsors to their audience and false advertising is an offense.

    Ah, I remember back when I was on Tumblr as Fyre Festival was going down live and we were calling it "Dashcon for rich people". At least the poor suckers at dashcon could go home... ACTUALLY! FUN FACT! The Dashcon Ballpit edit was accidentally taken by some naive journalists as a _real image_ and got published online as one of those mocking covers of the event's downfall. "At least there was a ballpit", indeed!

    A huge how could it go wrong with so many big names attached to it. With so many big names attached to it and being run by a successful millionaire, people saw it as an easy festival backed by so much money. Rich kids would buy the VVVip tickets and we'd ride along on the $500-1,200, win-win. But this was a lesson in not blindly following the word of huge names as they too can be apart of something that massively fails.
