  • For the session with jazz pianist Jason Moran, we pushed a Steinway D into the foyer of the Great Hall. Typically for Hamburg, a large rain cloud hung over the harbour, behind which the sun occasionally flashed out and bathed the foyer in glistening golden light. A perfect ambience for Moran's fine original compositions: A medley of »Winds« and »How much more terrible was the night« as well as »For Love«. More info about the session ➡️

Lots of big words.... Musically, no substance at all - and played at a very pedestrian level. Emperor's new clothes, you know?

No we don’t know,, this was a beautiful, inspired performance and talk in the beginning by one of the greats of modern jazz. The fact that you said “lots of big words” says it all. 😂

You have low expectations and seem to be easily impressed. I stand by my words. I have no control over what you are able to recognize as profound or trivial.

Just because you like certain music and dislike other music doesn’t mean you know anything about music. Your words are empty, your idols would think you’re a fool

Will you give us a short list of living pianists that you like to listen to, and who fulfill your expectations? Thank you. I'm always looking to expand my listening palette.
