'He was the greatest, he was wonderful, he was such a nice person too. He was genuinely just THAT guy !' - Billy Corgan on EVH.

I still can't get over the fact that EVH was mortal just like the rest of us. Everytime I watch him play it still just blows me away how effortless he made it look. He was on a pantheon all by himself.
    R.I.P King Eddie....😥🤘

This just goes to show no matter where a guitarist is on the music spectrum (in this case Corgan), they will regard Eddie as one of the greats and that's something I take great solace in amid his untimely death.

To get to meet one of your heroes and just hang out in his/her house...I mean, how amazing that must of been. Imagine just hanging out with your favorite actor, musician, athlete. Billy was really fortunate.

Excellent!!! So true too in terms of how humble and such a great guy! I know because I have worked with him while I played drums for Frank's sons first record with Eddie producing along with Don! He gave me a ride in his Porche I'll never ever forget! Still have white knuckles....Love you and Alex is just like you!!

And Corgan himself is a fantastic guitar player. Toured with a guitar tech that worked with him, he said he could switch to any without complain guitar despite string height or action. He's a big guy though..😁

Great artists don’t need to listen to anything else. This is the mystery of creative power. The man was so tuned in to himself he heard music 🎶 all the time! You can waste your time listening to everyone and everything else or you get to work. Eddie Van Halen one of a kind. One of The Greats! This is what greatness is. Thank you Billy Corgan for sharing this memory ❤️🎁 What fun What a gift

Is Eddie Van Halen the same thing as Van Halen? I always thought David Lee Roth was the dude. If David was the famous One why did they name it after Eddie's last name?
