How To Disable Comments On WordPress 2023 [THE EASY WAY]

Hey guys 🙂 Thanks for checking out this Wordpress how to disable comments 2023 video - You may not want to have comments on your posts or certain posts or pages but it’s not super obvious how to turn these comments off with the way Wordpress has it set up. Very Helpful and you have a good speaking voice that is clear and easy to follow. If you are using the first steps under Setting and Comments to not allow comments on future posts and eliminate existing comments, do you even need the "Disable Comments" plugin? If I have a Mailing List sign up on each page of my website, is that separate from blog post comments?

nothing is checked but I still get comments on my website. I don't really want to install a plugin but I just don't want comments at all. do I have to have a plugin for that?

well... seems another way to accomplish this is to select "users must be logged in to comment" but there seems to be no way for anyone to become a user....

This is not working the way you describe it. We still get spam comments on various sites with the box unchecked... Might work with the plugin - but do we really need a plugin for that...come on WP it can`t be that hard to completely block this function.
