I agree with what the others said. He also can run with the ball and hence work plays better. Look at Carter and gitaeu. Both of them are considered two of the top flyhalfs because they can so everything. Johnnies kicking is already amazing and will be bigger than rog. Such a pity he plays for Leinster :p

These days all the great 5/8ths have very good defense Carter, Wilkinson, Steyn even Giteau's defense is decent and he's a little guy. A stand off with a weak defense is a direct target for the opposition to run at which is what has been happening with O'Gara for the last while now, teams are now all too aware of his inability to tackle. In fact it was O'Gara's defense the lost the second Lions test when he was run over by Fourie
