- I'm going to show you how to apply and blend concealer before foundation so you can achieve a soft focus look. This is an underpainting method that can sound difficult but I'll show you exactly how to apply your concealer before and how it should be blended before your foundation.
I'll explain and show you step by step how to apply your concealer and how it should be buffed into your skin ready for foundation application. I'll show how to apply your foundation on top of the concealer for a soft focus effect.

Hi I don't recommend tarte shape concealer if you suffer from dry under eyes like me..the consitincy is abit thick i wou use something more liquid based. Hope the information helps!
Do you use moisturizer under it?

I too see the imbalance of nothing on the forehead, usually forgotten when not underpainting.

Should I lightly set my light pink color corrector under my eyes with a light dusting of powder before applying concealer or let the corrector sit for a few minutes and then apply concealer in the bouncing method? I only use it sparingly because I have extremely dark circles and only use concealer sparingly too. Thanks so much for breaking this issue down because it does get confusing. Always love your advice and actually doing it while you’re explaining. ❤

Does tarte tape shape concealer oxidize? How many shades should be taken lighter than the skin tone?
Have you ever used Dermablend Cover Care full coverage concealer? I love it. Feel like it covers well all of my redness and blemishes. BUT, my foundation does seem to wipe it away. So…I’m thankful for this video. Hopefully I can make some adjustments and make this work for me.
What shade are you using as concealer?
No matter how much moisturizer or primer I use my concealer creases and settles and look ashy and weird. I’ve tried hydrating concealer and same thing. I feel like my face rejects concealer

Again, please mention how to chose the color of concealer. No one talks much about that. Especially dark circles.
This video really made me laugh. Believe it or not (I know it’s hard for you to believe, since you’re a makeup artist, but I’m a psychiatrist so I am totally used to people’s crazy beliefs) there are people who WANT their makeup to look like makeup. It is bizarre to me, but there are women who love the look of being really made up - they think that is what makeup is supposed to do! I personally like my makeup to make me look like me, but better. I love when people say “you look great.” But if I hear “your makeup looks great” then I know I have to take some off. But that’s some. I know people who think that highlights in hair have to be obvious too (I’m not talking about the trend of multicolored hair, I’m talking about highlights that are supposed to look flattering, like you spend a lot of time at the beach). There’s a lid for every pot. But watching you be mystified by the people who are afraid their foundation will cover up their concealer is just -hilarious. Thanks for another great video.
