Thanks for reacting to Vibe ! It does have an "MJ influence" that is quite beautiful. And Jimin is actually a countertenor just like MJ was, it's one of the rarest musical range for male singers 😊 Also (even though BTS got bigger than any Kpop group in history) Taeyang has been one of Jimin's main inspirations since a young age. He looked so excited to work with him and I can't imagine how he must have felt when one of his favorite artists approached him to work together !

i really appreciate how Armies talk about Jimin in this collaboration, because usually the featured artists are always taken out of the frame, but let's give some shout-out to Taeyang too. Taeyang is a living dancing and singing legend in K-pop, this man is admired by so many Koreans (not by the regular people only, but by the celebrities too). he's one of the most popular soloists since his solo debut way back in 2008. Taeyang is a main dancer and a main vocalist of a sensation K-pop boy group called Big Bang. they've been one of the main trendsetters and music prodigies ever since 2006 when they debuted. they inspired so many people and literally made K-pop the K-pop we know now, their members can be considered as the the role models of nation, i'm not joking, that's how much impact they still have throughout the years on the South Korean entertainment industry. 'Vibe' is a first comeback of Taeyang since 2018 and it's really special for many reasons. one of them is that he dedicated this album to his wife and his newborn son. and it's a very big thing because there's some sort of cult of innocence in Korean entertainment industry - celebrities can't have the personal life because since they became the media personas they "belong" to their fans. fans can literally boycott them for having relationships (i swear there were and unfortunately still are just a LOT of terrifying situations). that's why the most of Korean idols, models and actors tend to hide their partners, but Taeyang is someone who hasn't done it ever. he publicly announced that he has started dating Min Hyorin (an actress) in 2013, then they got married in 2018 (that's the year of Tae's last comeback) and later in 2022 their first son was born. Big Bang is truly one of the very few K-pop groups that had never hid their personal lives and since the very beginning they made it clear that sooner or later everyone of them will get married or something. they had never sold their public image as the "perfect boyfriends" and have always been brutally honest with the world, that's why so many people admire them. Taeyang is probably the first idol i can remember getting so much positive feedback from the netizens for being a happy husband and father (usually there's way more hatred in such cases), and my heart is *melting* because oh god, i wish EVERY idol could have this kind of support. they're people too and they deserve to be happy, have a loving family and just be imperfect. thanks for the reaction guys, i really hope my explanation will help this song to make a slightly different impression on you when you listen to it again 😊

Jimin just dropped his first solo EP called FACE. If you listen to it I would like to suggest you research the meaning behind it as it's like reading a book, he's telling a story of his intimate struggles with stunning vocals & musicality. You will NOT be disappointed, in fact for a long time I had lost emotions through music, sure I listen to it everyday but there was nothing out there for so long that triggered real emotion in me until I listened to FACE, it's an album that you can not only hear but feel every word & how personal & raw this album is.

One of the best harmonizing collab! This is a total vibe! Taeyang of Big Bang is one of Jimin's idol he looked up to when he was younger so this was a treat for him. If you love Jimin's high notes, check out his solo song, Lie, which is another one of my favorite.

Covers of those song were made by many people at that time . He is main dancer and vocalist in BigBang. Members are coming back after 5 years hiatus with solo projects . Taeyang should drop his 4th solo album the end of this month . Leader GDragon said in 3 months so summer should be hot . Rapper TOP and vocalist Daesung also work on solo music . TOP plans to fly to the moon on an Elon Musk rocket so probably music will be released when that flight happen . Highly recommend you watch BigBang live performances. Actually, Jimin’s vocals is what stands out for me because of it’s uniqueness. Jimin is the Lead Singer of BTS and is responsible for the high notes. He also does a lot of their background vocals. There are compilations of Jimin’s high notes and growls on CZcams that you can check out. Jimin did say MJ was another performer that he admired and emulated.
Finally! I freaked out when Jimin sounded like MJ. I've heard vocal coaches say his tone is similar to MJ before but thats the first time I legit freaked because it sounded so much like MJ. I'm so picky when it comes to my favorite vocalists but Jimin is up there with the Legend himself Michael Jackson.❤
