The only opera singer that I've been into their home via video when she was in her robe, with hair curlers and without any makeup (she is just as beautiful without it). It was Easter Sunday and she attended her church.. She is very gracious, unpretentious, and a very lovely lady

This woman's voice is a miracle of beauty and timbre and nobody can match her ! there never was a replacement for her at The Met.They let her go but failed to find anyone comparable . Harolyn Blackwell came close and in her way was marvelous. Battle's small but silver flute like sound was never matched!
