  • Located on the private and secure estate of North Foreland is this delightful Art Deco bungalow that has maintained its pristine original condition showcasing endless opportunities for its next buyer. Although looking from the front aspect you would never believe it’s grandeur until you step inside, with each room providing an abundance of space and natural light, it just keeps getting better. The location is arguably the most prestigious and sought after private estate in Thanet with its sensored barrier entry and strong neighbourhood watch not to mention the sea right within eyeshot and of course being a resident here you have access to the estates private beach all thrown in with the annual community estate charge of £350.
Upon entering the bungalow there is large lobby area that can be used as a sun room or just something snazzy that gives off a great first impression for your friends and family when they arrive. This space was an addition to the existing house that bridges the gap to the garage attached to it and the other side of this lobby area is a secluded, enclosed, large courtyard space where you could design that environment to be tucked away nicely imaging yourself to be anywhere in the world.
Inside this lobby area is a useful utility room with sink unit and plumbing for the washing machine and essential products that’s ideal to keep separate from the kitchen. The next part is where the original front door started for this home so you enter through a newly installed secure composite door taking you in towards the kitchen but before that the first of huge amounts of storage either side of you. As you go into the kitchen you are greeted by an enormous space with more units either side of you than you’d know what to do with. More built in storage areas either side of the door acts beautifully as a pantry, you could have a large dining table in the middle of the kitchen or why not keep this space open and use the room ahead as your dining area with windows on all sides letting the light in as well as the convenient addition of the French doors that lead onto another quaint courtyard space that acts beautifully as a sun trap. After leaving the kitchen and dining areas you make your way through to a gigantic living room, again with plenty of windows letting in the light and of course the raised mezzanine level that acts as a viewpoint where one could waste many an hour gazing out to sea watching that picturesque scenery forever change. Just imagine that living space being used as your cinema room against that back wall having a large projector or quite simply an epic sized lounge, the possibilities are endless. As you continue on from the lounge to the hallway there are more doors accessing the garden before coming to the already refurbished wet room with the walk in shower behind the glass screen and multiply jet sprays. Next to the bathroom is what was often used as the study but nevertheless a double bedroom in its own right looking out into the enclosed private courtyard area that’s surrounded by mature bush giving you that secluded feel. There is another bedroom next to this that’s very generous in size and has the built in storage space and the same view as the office next door. Opposite this room is the family bathroom with bath, toilet, sink unit and bidet. Down towards the end of the hallway you come past the dressing room with built in wardrobes and another space where you can let your imagination run wild before finally arriving at another large bedroom at the end of the house which was added on as an extension many years ago where you have more French doors and a lovely outlook of the garden to wake up to.
The garden has a number of surprises and whilst you can see a nice amount of outside space its very deceiving as there are hidden gems here, one of which being the swimming pool that could be refurbished and reinstated to its former glory. There’s a greenhouse tucked away around the back of the garden and also a construction that was formerly used as storage space and the old sauna. Next to this is the perfect spot to have a vegetable patch and huge amounts of room to grow your own.
Although the building needs complete renovation or as some have mentioned rebuilding as two plots, either way this is not just a substantially large home but an exciting and enthralling project for anyone with vision.
