- Starting professional football at 22, the Argentine-born forward, Adrián Emmanuel Martínez, now 26, has grown to be an incredible player. He's helped Paraguayan side Club Libertad dominate the group stages of the 2019 Copa Libertadores, and is the competition's best scorer so far.
Despite a tragic past, including false imprisonment, a near-deadly motorcycle accident, and the death of his brother, he is totally focused on his game. And it shows.
He's by far one of the best - if not the best - player to emerge from this year's Copa Libertadores.
His versatility and sheer, unadulterated talent are a wonder to behold. How far he'll go, only time will tell.
A truly amazing football player.
