In high school I got my hands on a "vintage" new old stock Lambert's Test Selection "the Master". I bought it as a bit of a laugh but it ended up being my go to bat throughout my last years of school. Sweet as anything out the middle and incredibly light. It was stolen from my kit bag after my last match for my school.
I remember finding a very old bat at a friends house and it had the most glorious middle. Probably what decades of knocking in does!

I feel like that bat would actually perform well in a game. All old bats pick-up well because they were all thin and light but somehow they manage to ping well, maybe because of the years of knocking in and high willow quality back then.

I just chanced across this video and was amazed to see your102 yo bat is exactly the same as as my Dad's old GM Cannon I have in the shed. His has the crusty repair string covering most of the hitting area. He must have got it second hand as he played in the 1950's, unless they produced with the same graphics for many years.
