Kyosho Outlaw Rampage Pro Kit

- I've had my eye on the Kyosho Outlaw Rampage Pro Kit since I first saw it announced. Then when I saw Mike Dayton run it at our local Hobbytown, I wanted it even more. It's one of the most satisfying RC trucks to watch drive - especially in slow motion.
I quickly through mine together as I was hoping to take it with me on a camping trip this weekend. Let me know what you think.

I wish more manufacturers would offee 70-80% roller kits like hobao, arrma " limitless" and now the kyosho rampage pro. Most enthusiasts have a prefered electronics brand. To force them to eat the cost of rtr just to pull it out and try to recoup the cost by selling is unfortunate

With the motor on the axle and the skid plate. Plus the 2 big spare tires. You may find the rear shocks may be to lightly sprung. But its a great looking rig. Keep up with great videos. Cheers from canada.

Love this truck. One thing i dont understand is how everyone is just now starting to notice it. The original outlaw rampage came out like 3 years ago and nobody cared, but then the put a "pro" behind it and everybody goes crazy. Cool truck through, just odd it took so long to catch on.

I assembled mine, painted it green, added decals and haven't run it outside yet! It sits on a shelf next to my TV and I just look at it because it's so damn pretty. I'll amend that soon enough though. Great kit, although a replacement body might be costly. I think you could convert to a standard Rampage setup, and run one of those bodies. Cool vid, and great paint.

I have been pondering this truck, Only down side is getting parts for it in my area,
They're so reasonably priced I might just get one. But I've been saving for a Axial Wraith not sure what would be more fun?

arent the sway bar arms assembled wrong? because the way the are right now....they ...dont have any effect at all?.... all in all it seems pretty solid despite my doubts. maybe i gut my slash and buy this one ^^
Paint looks good. Those colors really go good together.
The grille looks like its from a dodge, body lines match a ford, n the cab looks like a cross between a ford n chevy. Not a bad lookin truck for bein non licensed. Personally, im not to keen on the moa part of it

The other Rampage is still for sale many places. This is just a Kit version of it that has a cage in the rear and two spare tires in the back. Looks super cool

7:56 is that the sway bar link in front of the trailing arm? I think it's not oriented properly it should be vertical
Mine came like that as well. Never had any rubbing issues. Hope this helps.

so the base non pro, is selling for around 200, is the pro worth the upgrade? i may get the base and upgrade with parts, base comes with electronics and battery..
The base model is very standard, of course with upgraded stuff from time to time the base model is almost the same thing as the pro. Difference is, Aluminum shocks, skid plates and the cage for the spare tires is what makes it different. Also the crome wheels are added to this platform. I painted mine black (not a fan of crome) the body is where you can make your truck unique from the rest. It all depends on how you feel about this platform really.
To conclude the ready to run gets you on the road quick but it's very basic.
The Pro you get to add your electronics of your own preference. You can make it look however you like and its 70% complete. You just need to paint, load your chocks and put everything where it goes. It's not a hard build if you ask me. Hope this helps.

I really liked this and the kit was a good move, but it has a major flaw, the MOA, this is old school I expect it of Tamiya but come on motor on axle just aint doing it for me shame I was nearly sold, what you have done with the truck look is brilliant.
Ah so I'm not the only one who thought this.. yeah it kinda kills the appeal for me too.

Does it require a motor with 3.175mm or a shaft
I recommend just getting a Traxxas or ARRMA 12t brushed motor. It's a good speed for a 2wd truck like this.
@@CCxRC so any motor like a 3650 with a 5mm shaft will do, does the kit come with pinion gear

I believe they still have the other one available. They just made a pro version of it that sells as a kit instead of RTR. It has some upgrades like metal skids and the open bed that has the cage and two tires. So it is a more scale pro version of it.
@@CCxRC yes, remember that name started with a buggy in the 90's, it came brushed electric and a nitro conversion was available for it.. which the truck followed right around the same time.. I'm just surprised they reissued the name so many years later on a different platform..

already tried this car and it sadley was a big dissapointment 😭ended up with a ftx outback and a axial yetiscore insted
Really? I’m having a blast with mine. It’s not a basher like a Yeti Score, but it looks so good doing scale size jumps and driving.

Tippy un balanced , poor handling truck stock tires are garbage , needs alot of refinement out of the box to be a good stable runner, I sold mine after three runs.
