i really appreciate the transparency. Thanks for showing it off for us! I was hoping for fps levels that would match most games in my area (i.e., 130/150/200), but I'm still a fan of Dart Zone because you do things like this.
What about accuracy with super charge barrel? I can’t seem to make mine accurate without scar at those speeds.

I’m a Tampa bay lightning fan at heart but for Canadian teams, I prefer the oilers, I still like the canucks a lot. Everyone else sucks (Calgary Flames are terrible, winning jets always blow up, senators are a nightmare, leafs fans are just as cancerous as the Dallas cowboys, and habs are mid (not good but not bad)).

As far as promotional videos are concerned, it's solid - even if it feels like there can be some inconsistencies on the low end.
It's just an issue of timing, compared to the recent release of so many similar platforms. Many of which don't need to be that long to achieve similar performance.
This is very true buffdaddy. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for this to release, but right now, it doesn't seem to be doing anything dramatically different from the competitors given the price point, for not much more you can get a harrier(Which I'm seriously considering on getting despite the fact I have a trion). Speaking of the trion, it's a lot less than this, plus it hits nearly as hard, plus the skinny pusher actually works with all magazines, unlike the mk4 where it'll only work with included new magazines were the feed lips move out of the way. Don't get me wrong, I am excited to get something like this from dart zone, especially as it includes a scar muzzle, but I don't really see the point in it if you get what I mean.
@@jackboulter4901 the point is that its DZP entry into this category. think of cars, all large auto makers make similar vehicles to each other in a variety of categories (SUV, Crossover, Sedan etc) so this is DZP's high powered springer in the same category as the swift, harrier etc. so to ask why it was made simply because a similar platform exists is silly
@SidBurn I wasn't saying that It shouldn't have been made, I was just saying that the high-performance pump action springer market is very crowded currently and the pro mk4 dosent seem to be doing anything drastically different, im sure it'll be amazing once in hand but currently it seems a smidge underwhelming, given the price point which can't be ignored.
the only blaster in that category that you could argue price point on is the Trion,. MK4 is competitively priced when compared to swift, harrier, 3D prints like the SBL etc Trion is the exception, not the rule here
@SidBurn True, but what are people gonna pick out of those? the trion and harrier that have a functional skinny pusher breach or the mk4, which requires you to use the new magazines, which are basically pripiorty because the feed lips move out of the way to make the skinny pusher function, meaning that with other half dart magazines you're gonna have to prime the blaster back.
Latest info from dr flux, apparently the internal of mk4 is filled with many metal parts. Well done dart zone. I’ll be looking forward to obtaining this one.
This style of video was really cool to see, it felt very honest and really fun, doubly so because red blasters numbers were a little low and the fps spread was pretty wide for some of the configurations. But actually I look at that as a good thing, you guys showed us what this thing can do, flaws and all. Add to that the blaster looks cool, the extension barrel is concept people are going to expect as standard on everything soon cause it's so goddamn cool, and while some people have been saying "x or y blaster is better for cheaper, why even release this?". I have a few things to say to that.
1. Not every blaster has to be the best, or the most efficient or whatever, that's not the only reason we play silly foam dart battles.
2. Dart zones distribution ability extends well beyond the hobby range that Worker caters for, just imagine some kid's grandma getting them this for Christmas, they'd be blown away.
3. This is an honest effort from a big company to produce something for a hobby that until a few years ago had basically no support at all from the toy sector. The Nexus Pro was not the best blaster on the market when it released either, and it didn't need to be. We don't need the best of everything, we need companies to take risks and innovate and not be afraid of failure. That is the future.
Also props to DZ for having comments turned on for this video, very bold. I respect that.

absolutely agree, its amazing how quickly nerf hobbyists went from begging any mainstream company to acknowledge the hobby, to acting like entitled brats demanding perfection from the company that actually listened. I listened to these same people bash the MK1.2 over and over, and once I had it in hand, it was a great blaster. sometimes, the hobbyist can become so jaded with their hobby, that nothing is ever good enough.

@@Faedz I had suspected as much as it's part of the pro line, but as usual it's most likely a test for the larger release as the other ones have been.
But you're right it's a stretch to assume some kids grandma will get it for them.
Naturally my question is what happened with the performance mentioned in the podcast? What's the price of the new dart? Why couldn't the blaster have been available earlier? Whats with the low powered spring? Will there be extensive testing videos or gameplay footage? Was the red blaster an early model?
Quality is a nice peace of mind for a customer and as unique as this was, consistent performance doesn't look like the MK4's redeeming one. Granted the competitors had their lows but they also had plenty of work around's when it came to selling their primary's, hopefully this will too, for the customers sake.

aside from including possible erroneous values and not factoring in the duplicate 222 for the high powered with the "super charger" barrel and that accuracy test being scuffed id say this is definitely and ambitious flagship high performance blaster it defnintily looks like with further tuning and tweaking in a few areas that it will be a great blaster.

I do like the looks of the MK-4 a lot but with so many pump action high performance springers on the market, it’s kind of a dud but still a excellent choice for nerfers.

Overall I dig what I saw but one thing caught my eye: the low power spring was very inconsistent. We’re expected to hit 120 with the low power + muzzle and only one of the shots out of 5 hit 120. The other 4 shots hit 90
This is fairly normal for higher powered blasters with low power springs , I’d also wager that the seal wasn’t great on that red blasters muzzle , the first shot showed the expected gain then fairly consistently dropped to non muzzle velocities. My guess is either it’s not enough power for that barrel length with the weaker spring , or it wasn’t making a complete seal
@@Motionnerf I’m hoping it’s just a bad seal on that red one but I’m pretty sure the spring is too weak for the muzzle which has a pretty big barrel size

Honestly it looks like seal issue. If you fix the seal i’m sure it will be more consistent. Although i think the supercharged muzzle is pointless when using the weak spring.

Honestly, the swift changes the game imo (i know the harrier is better comfort wise but the swift came first). After that this seems tame in comparison. The high fps that this achieve is also partly from using lighter dart which is not good. The mk4 seems like a solid blaster but trion, swift, harrier is still my preferred choice. I think the low fps spring is too low, shouldn’t go below 110fps. If the trion, swift, and harrier doesn’t exist the mk4 will be great. But now it’s just another option in the market and it seems like it has less value/dollar ratio compared to others.

And in all honesty and you'll say this as well it's just another subpar offering compared to the other blasters out on the market for the same price
The only way I would pick up this plaster is if I got it on sale for like fifty percent off in my opinion this plaster should cost about $100 not what they're asking what they're asking is just way too much for what it is and how it performs
@@milosmods Yes I think so too. This is not a bad blaster, far from it. It's just over shadowed by other offerings. I even doubt the internal is even 50% metal. $100 would be a fair price. Also it seems the super charged muzzle is pointless when using the weak spring. It's still great that they have honest demonstration though so massive respect for dart zone there.
Exactly what I was thinking, show us the metal internals, show us with worker gen 4 he, lol....
@@justakid8677 yeah I didn't even think about that you're right I want them to use generation 3 plus that's what I use because there's some of the best out there and we all know lighter darts will give you larger FPS boost so who knows what they did to the darts I want them to use regular darts like we use
I would like to see the internals as well just for morbid curiosity but as it stands right now I'll just keep my Harrier lol
The bottom line is I don't see $185 for a blaster on if I was the one actually selling this blaster I would maybe charge about 100 dollars
lots of negativity here, but I dont see why. I'm excited for the release, prime looks buttery smooth, and the ability to go from 100 FPS to 225+ FPS makes it applicable to almost all game types. ordered a pair of vault blue versions, I'm sure this blaster will hit 270+ with very minor upgrades

mine shot way right i had to dremal the barrel shroud and physically move the tip of the barrel to the left but its shooting spot on now

check dr flux latest short, mk4 internals are all metal (catch, tube, plunger, pusher, ram base etc)
I kinda like the looks of the MK4 but with extension it looks like you're firing a M1 Garand. And being on the smaller side a big gun works to my disadvantage. The Harrier or the new Unicorn may be a better fit for me.
why exactly cant we use scar attachment with your super charger barrel ? thats the main reason why im not getting it
Dart Zone, the video isn't bad. You tried to be honest. But like many people I was expecting a better blaster.
I have and like the performance of your darts, the Nexus Pro, and the Savage Spin. But this one is like the MK3, an initial high price, some issues, only good to try when price is low, and have luck that it don't broke. I have the MK3 not working in a corner.
My recommendation to Dart Zone is take a "tactical retreat". Avoid the mistakes from Nerf.
Sad to hear your mk3 failed! Mine did so as well wish deeply saddened me however my guess is that it is likely only the rev switch moving out of place and luckily Out of Darts sells a little piece for the fix. I cannot confirm whether that may fix my mk3 but I sure will try it eventually. I just wanted to give you a heads up in case you may be experiencing the same issue that I've suffered through. Hopefully I helped :)
@@lingfong , thanks for the info. After the problem. I checked around CZcams, but many Foam reviewers modified their MK3. Only Coop still have a MK3 without internal mods. Also checked Amazon and noticed that some buyers had issues.

This release is actually available to ship to Canada for both the blue and red variant! Took us a second to get the shipping class set up during initial launch but it is available now!

Well the speed on it is absolutely abysmal I mean if that's the same speed as a game face trion which is $80
So I mean as much as I like your blaster in your company I think I'll pass on that one it's just not worth $180

@@edgardopereles9966 well unless you live in Australia or in the UK or something like that it's going to try on would be a cheaper alternative yes from what I've seen though the price on the worker Harrier it's pretty much consistent around the globe it's right around $180 same as the MK4 but was way better performance and way better tuning Jimmy just blast your looks like it was not thought out very well it also looks like a five-year-old design it
@@milosmods i agree this one is too expensive. If this was released before the worker swift era then i think we’ll be more hyped. I think the design of this blaster should be thumb hole stock design like the trion or swift, that way it will look more balanced and less goofy imo.

Shouldn't be hard to open up the barrel extension shell, trim the barrel stop and drop in a new length of AL barrel with an extra 20-30mm to accommodate your choice of rifling device. Shame it isn't a feature out of the box, but the extension does look clean.
For now we opted for an inclosed Super Charge muzzle system to avoid the barrel getting damaged. If you want the scar attachment on the end, you can unscrew the shell, retrofit the metal barrel into the interlocking barrel component and then add the scar to the end.

Cool vid! I preordered the blue mk 4 when it was announced. I'm curious how come only one 50 ft shot at the target? I would have liked to see the grouping of five shots at 50 ft.
it probly shot way to the right like mine did out of the box i had to dremel the fps extension and stack tape to physically move the tip of the barrel to the left but now after doing the dremaling and sanding mine is shooting pin point accurate im nailing tiny little targets back to back easily at 30 feet i havent tried farther yet but i will this spring

A question cuz I'm newbie: how the barrel can increase the fps?
heavy springs means the dart needs more time in the barrel to travel faster and stabilize i think. its some physics stuff. also I think makes the dart fly more straight since the barrel is longer

I really don’t understand the low power spring. Who would even use it? HVZ is usually 120 so I could see a spring in that range. I hate that long muzzle, I don’t want a blaster that is that long and I don’t like the fact you need it to hit the 200fps mark. I gotta be honest the MK4 really seems like wash, too much for a lackluster blaster that’s not doing anything very well. Looking forward to your next blaster reveal and the new 2X darts though.
I felt the same until I handled one at Maryland Mayhem last weekend. Now, I own one and it has become one of my favorites because of the very solid smooth construction. I have even learned to appreciate the detachable barrel as another way to change play style and performance. Though, I have modified a Deuce Pro barrel with SCAR as a modest boost without the enormous length
I like your products and it looks good but i would like to advocate for some more "fun" blasters you know like take good concepts that didnt work out and really polish them and release it with the better performance and decent ergo i feel like thats what really shines in the hobby.
I just thought of the perfect example make a lever action you make a decent one of those for under 60 dollars and people will love that. Well i would at least. With the revolver and a lever action all you need is a cowboy hat and your good to go!

That's terrible, we can hear the air leak out of the Red blaster there was no seal...and sub 100 fps Performance is kind of "unacceptable" on a 180$. That's kind of disappointing even on the Blue MK-4(that seem to have a better seal) the FPS seems a bit average for the size/price of the thing. Since no availability for Canada, I guess I'll never know! But a 180$, I don't really see it... I challenge you to prove me wrong.

Hate to say it, but this is a major step backwards from the Tomcat. The Tomcat is like the most beautiful blaster on the market...the mk4 looks like you asked a toddler to draw the Tomcat from memory.

disapointing blaster but 0 tactics im not buying it. could have removed some stuff from the packages to make it cheaper like who needs protections a lot of lost potential very sad. I'd rather buy another stryker or trion
LOL. Accuracy testing here is a joke. Only 4 shots fired at 20 feet, 3 of which miss. So the accuracy is already terrible at 20 feet. At 50 feet, only a single shot is fired, and it's probably just a "lucky" hit. Possibly many shots were actually fired in order to get that 1 hit. Clearly there's no intention here of showing the blaster's actual accuracy.
With a $4 blaster (x shot skins menace) firing a shortened dart at 20 feet I get way better accuracy (it should hit that target near dead center every time). To be fair though, I'm firing the same 1 dart over and over. And I'm loading it in with the same orientation every time, which is what allows for consistent shots. The included x shot darts are obviously not perfectly symmetrical and loading them in with a random orientation leads to very poor accuracy.
So the fps testing is only over 5 shots with the crappy light darts...
Does the long barrel have a working scar?
And the accuracy test on the big barrel gets only ONE shot at a very close range.
Not impressed... I am not a fan of the Worker Harrier, but for a comparison, the Harrier is a vastly better blaster right out of the ox, despite its issues.
The Harrier hits harder, and is way more accurate at the distances they use in the video.
It can hit a 1 inch target with better consistancy than this massive Jokey toy.

@@eschultz-iv8pq Not wrong actually. In Singapore I bought the harrier at 227 SGD. while I saw that the DZP Mk4 is like 249.90. And in my opinion the harrier is just better. I don’t hate dart zone btw I love their Stryker and nexus. The only advantage I can see this being better than the harrier is hitting a low fps like 90+ for the weak spring. But I don’t think this is a bad blaster. I mean if you like this aesthetics then by all means buy it.
