The show you’ve watched so far has basically been the prologue. The real story starts now with with the fallout from Ned’s death
Yall will get wars, they didn't have a big budget this season... but the wars to come in future seasons are epic.. arguably the best battles in tv history.... just get through the early couple seasons.
One of them is arguable the other is certainly the best battle in TV history

GoT is the only ruthless show I've seen that almost portrays how cold reality could be! 🔥 Trust me, THE NORTH REMEMBERS! Rob is pretty tough in the books. In the book, he fights with his wolf! When Rob and his wolf come into a town, all the dogs start crying and howling because they're scared of Grey Wind. His direwolf basically grows up in war. Similar to how Rob's character is. Can't wait for the finale! 🙏🏼 Season 2 is for Ned! 😂 RIP to a real one!

Martin is a studied and exceptional writer. And when you research his inspiration/connections throughout history, you’ll find his work is mirrored off the greats like JRR Tolkien, whom he was quoted as stating should be to blame for the pain we suffered for Ned’s death, because Tolkien showed us pain for the death of Gandalf the Grey.
@lalamagnoliagyrl Yeah!! I saw that the War of the Roses between the Yorks (Starks) and Lancasters (Lannisters) were his inspiration. He also used many other different things from history and threw it all together with his style of writing to create Game of Thrones!
The only comfort Ned found before he was killed, was he looked over at Baelor's statue and Arya was gone...so he felt Yuren from the Nights Watch must have saved her. Then he bent his head forward.

This was the biggest hit for all of us watching the first time and never reading the books, we always had someone come into the save the hero but this showed us no one was safe and thus was born the greatest show that could have been

They were originally going to show the Tyrion battle which was supposed to show the Mountain kicking ass and killing lots of people in battle and Tyrion running around surviving but they ran out of budget and had to cut it.

Ned did send a raven to Stannis baratheon, king Robert's brother about cersi children. You haven't met him yet.
Cersi does want him dead but she smart enough to know killing Ned would start some shit!
Before you hit season 2 you should def go back and rewatch season 1 or look up the info, no shade, it will just help you a lot in knowing which family members are which and who they are attached to & Jon snows info as a bastard, etc, so that you don’t miss any more important stuff going forward. Just some constructive criticism wit all the best intentions and love…I’ll keep posting it haha.

Yo guys I bought the entire first four seasons from Walmart just out of curiosity after this episode I did not watch the show for another 2 weeks I was pissed but then I watched the other three seasons and I had to get the other ones nothing else mattered!

Definitely there’s a lot more action the upcoming seasons with each season increases no in budget and action over the last. It does get crazy in a good way with crazy good effects and there’s lots of battles and fighting and great unpredictable writing and fresh characters.

Ned was a great king but naive and too trusting, he should have seen the writing on the wall as it were as far as Cersai and her ambitions "Beware Caesar, the Ides of March" and all that, this sets up the reality that no one is safe, "no one can protect anyone" so anyone can get iced, but no spoilers, takes a few seasons to set up the characters but once it hits full throttle it's on, great series.
