I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s. I want a time machine stuck in reverse. Simpler times, true friends and the best music ever.
AMEN AND GOD-BLESS
My feelings too. The "Twilight Zone" TV show had an episode where elderly people returned to their youth playing "kick the can." If only that were possible.
Best times out of all 7 of my decades
Me too.
I'm in

I was born in the fifties grew up in the sixties lived in the seventies we had the cars the music and the beautiful women loved those times Lord what happened 😢
I’m 76 and the 50’s and 60’s were the two greatest decades to have been raised. This music is a daily part of my life, and I’ve successfully passed it to our 34 yr old son.
Much agreed. Got to hear the hangings on of the big band and catch the beginnings of rock and roll, Holly, Elvis, Ricky, Orbison, The Beach Boys, Doo-wop, The Beatles, ad infinitum. Best time in music history. And THIS SONG here, was the anthem of rock and roll along with Sleepwalk. Just my opinion, but I've been a musician for 62+ years!
1950 to 1960 was the wonder years. Met the girl I married in 52. Still going strong 62 years later.
Such a sweet, innocent time to grow up. Thank God I was lucky enough to have this music as the soundtrack to my life. The 50s and 60s will never come again, but the music is still the best I've ever heard.
Time marches on, times change but the memories will last a lifetime. Keep on rocking.🤠👍👍
I agree 👍.
Best music ever; it united everybody. Kalamazoo, Mi
You have that right.
"Ditto"......Ride on......................... The Best of Times. God Bless. ✌
Have pity on the current generation that would never have the pleasure of hearing all the music we had ( I'm 76) if not for bands to play it, and for CZcams for allowing it to air.
Dancing at the house parties , lights turned down low , belly to belly and cheek to cheek. What a great time to be seventeen and be alive.
Debbie you are a ROMANTIC
Wow I remember the Belly dancing lol.
Listen to this one a lot! Brings back memories!❤
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoy it.
real great version of a classic song and time in my life.❤😂❤😂
We had the best music in the fifties and early sixties. I still listen to it after 65 years.
Sure did, I’m still listening at 76
💞 Yes...Me too at 74🥰 It sure has been a wonderful ride....So many memories.
I was born in 1953 so a late starter. But...since I started listening to the best music ever...I never stopped. This comes a very very close second to Ronnie Milsaps original. Thats a compliment! I don't know how many times I played this as a DJ.
DOO WOP RADIO IN MY SHOP ALL THE TIME !
@@katherinegates1559 ME ALSO AT 77 AND I WII TILL I DIE
raised in the 50's & 60's, this song makes me think of times gone by and friends no longer with us, I smile and cry at the same time,,, those were the days
It’s impossible to convey how great the 50s and 60s were, especially to be there when these songs were popular. I am amazed that I still remember the words to the songs I can sing along.
In the late 50's and into the 60's I knew we were living good. Didn't have much money but had youth and health. The way society is going and the health challenges of getting older just re-enforces to me just how good we had it back then.
I find my most often used saying now is "I'm sure glad I was born when I was."
🥰 Yes I agree...The best era growing up as a young teenager. 74 yrs young now☺️😊 It has been a wonderful ride...💖✌️
If God above told me, Wayne, would you like to be reborn,, I would say, only if I can grow up in the fifties again!!!!
I can dig that.
Miss the 50s....
Wish I had it to do over again and know what I know now👍
Stuckin60s 😎😎
❤ i was born in 1953 thanks for older cousin's i and my late husband were stuck on 50s music...
I was born in 1945 and still love 50s and 60s music. We had the best years. It’s sad that today’s youngsters have to listen to rubbish “music” today. If only they knew what we had and what they have missed, those happy post war years with fantastic music.🇮🇲🇮🇲🇮🇲👏👏👏
So lucky to have grown up in the 50’s and 60’s. Such an innocent and carefree time.
2 minutes ago I was 73 years OLD, while listening to this I have been transported back to my carefree life as a teen, I wish that I could be lost in the fifties again for a few more years, Tim M.10/18/2021
I was 73 on October 6, 2021...those songs sure bring us back...love them!!! ...Doris C.
I'm still falling in love in the backseat of a 1955 Impala Chevy convertible. That was the guy of my dreams & forever.
Tim I grew up with this cuz of my dad who is now 82 both he and my mom told me all about growing up back then my dad had all the original records and I completely understand how it takes you back. I listened to all the music I grew up with in the '80s and as you're probably know a lot of it had some great fifties influence as well and my dad happy for the first time and he has he hated the 1970 stuff. Here I am 50 and I completely relate
Me too
I AGREE! JUST HOLD ONTO THE MEMORIES...HOLD ON! I LOVE GOING DOWN MEMORY LANE...THANK GOD FOR SUCH GREAT MEMORIES! GOD BLESS!
Believe it, one hundred years from now (if we humans are still here) people will still listen to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by the Tokens.
I can not believe the years went by so fast! These were good years!!!
🥰 Yes they were... The best era as a young teenager. 💖😊💖
Yeah well that happens sometimes when you live too long
Arnold, I hope you speak for yourself! In my mind we’re always young when we hear theses songs.
Sharon, I hear you. When we were kids growing up we thought (or at least I did)
That life would last forever. I am now 71
years old. I feel so fortunate to have grown up in the 50’s and early 60’s the
best music ever. I went in the Army at 19, went to Thailand/Nam. I had a Pen Pal
the entire time I was there, My Dad hooked us up. When I meet her at the
Airport it
Time waits for no one.
Such a wonderful time in life, when you could walk down town with no weary, when people act like they enjoyed life. Drive in movie and.
I wish we were back to those days, and the early 60's best days ever.
Being able to listen to this takes me back to the best times of my life, if even for a few moments
Just wonderfulwish I was 18 again
YOUR SO WRIGHT
WE the early boomers had the best time to be alive.
Stuck in the 60s. 👍😎😎
The fifties and the sixties were the best music in my time. 👍😄
I was in the Navy, but the music I heard ,you could understand the words, what a great time to grow up, hard to explain!
so right
I am 93 and love these songs
At 81 I really miss this era and its fantastic music. Brings back so many memories driving my dads 55 Belair with my gal snuggled up beside me.
🥰 Yes...Wonderful memories....In our hearts forever....God Bless us all...🥰
Didn't get any better than that.
I’m 76 and when I sing this song at karaoke, it’s the one song that makes the older couples get up and dance to it.
That music brings us together. There has never been another generation that even knows what we are talking about.
I am 78 and this is what I liten to every day
Born in 52 and we lived in the best time in American History! The Music was Great!
A musical era when people knew what it was to fall in love...nowadays, it's, meet and go to bed
I love this kind of music and the times when it was played. Miss this so much. I wish I had enough words to describe those days.
🥰 All I can say is....Magical times!!! 💞
The best time and those of us who grew up in them know it
WE UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING! DOO WOP LIVES FOREVER...GREAT ERA!...MISSING THOSE DAYS...HOLD ONTO THE GREAT MEMORIES! GOD BLESS US ALL!!
So lucky to have experienced this era ❤
I listen to this at at least once a week. 1958 is when I met my true love. We’re were married 58 years when he died last year. You can’t imagine how painful it has been. Only Jesus comforts me.
That's great to hear. We are glad you enjoyed it.
Me too, my husband died recently and was my true love for 53yrs, the time was wonderful and music heavenly we will meet them again in Heaven, music and all !!
So sorry for your loss. But Linda, you had 58 years and when we walked away in 1961, she married and I went on living. She was widowed after 55 years and some trick of fate brought us together. She still fit in my arms as she did way back. But she was ill and in 18 months she was gone. Every day just reminds me of how it might have been.
I’m so sorry that you didn’t have more time. I’ve spent the past year trying to go back in time and recover those precious moments. I do believe we will be together in Heaven. But my time isn’t now. I wish it was.
REALLY MISS THAT TIME.
If only we could go back in time, I'm also 81 and Love this song, music is not what it was back in the day. Bless you all.😇
Man oh man what a truly wonderful time to be a teenager and enjoy not only this fabulous music but friendships that started in elementary school all the way through to graduation in June 1962...Chamberlian High School Chiefs. This music helped me to look back over the years to the Saturday night teen dances, football games, cruising Dog'n'Suds and Frisch's in Woody's 57 Chevy convertible...No sir, these were the times...The Time Of My (Our) Life. Just received a letter with an invitation to our 60th class reunion, Wonder who I'll See ?
What a great time to grow up in.
The 50’s and 60’s take me back to
simpler days. Loved growing up in this
time. The music is the best!!!❤
Don’t you think this is a great song
I tell everyone who grew up in this era IF YOU CAN’T GET INTO THIS WONDERFUL MUSIC OF THE 50’&60’ THEN YOU HAVE NO SOUL.
I AM 72 YEARS OLD,AND STILL TODAY I TEAR UP WHEN I HEAR ALOT OF THE
OLDIES.
I STRONGLY AGREE!...OH, HOW...I WISH I COULD GO BACK...IF ONLY...IF ONLY, I WOULD!! GOD BLESS!
Old tunes, old cars, old cherished memories. Sad to think it's all gone.
🥰 All of our greatest memories will remain in our hearts...Forever.💕 I have to say that loved all of the 50s and 60s cars....Loved all the shiny chrome. Great memories...💖💖
It was a good time for me. I was born in 1946 and when Rock 'Roll was born I am glad I was there. Slow dancing on Friday in the high school auditorium I met my future wife. I was 16 and fell crazy in love with her. Eleven years ago on this date (Nov. 7 2021) I lost her in a freak accident, but we had 42 years together. I miss you Sugar.
I was born in 1946 too. I love this music.
Growing up on a street corner, harmonizing with the guys. Great echoes in the hallways. Great times in Jersey.
The fifties was the first decade that would last three decades of the best and greatest years my generation would know. Three decades of the best music, dance and cars that America will ever experience. I miss them dearly and thank God and my parents for bringing me into this world during this wonderful time. I will never forget these wonderful years.
so true😂❤❤
The fifties was a great time and memories for me, just a kid . If we could go back less turmoil and struggle .
I've always felt that a large part of my 79 years has always been "Lost in the Fifties Tonight"!
The best of everything
Born in 59 and this is one of the best
Good Times! Make America Great Again.
I was a war baby born in 44 in England. this song brought tears to my eyes.
Years may have gone by but the sweetness remains
Had so much fun I'd love to be back in Fifties
Was 17 in 58 .
Look back and smile .Teen dances.Everything seemed so innocent back then.Jam away on my guitar to all the old 50s stuff.I may be getting old now , but glad I was there.
What a great song and all the memories it triggers. I lived thru the 50s & 60s and those years by far had the greatest music. Thank you for the great song.
In the blink of an eye it all disappeared. Now we have rap, grunge, house, garage, what the F are they talking about? Todays generation don't know what music is. All they have is shouters and screamers. AAAAh where's my time machine?
@Bear So very true!
Just brought me back to the best time anyone could you could have lived in.When people were One
Grew up in the mostly 60s and 70s.If I could go back for just one day
Fifties music is still the best decade for music all time. What they call music today is just filth, garbage, and disgusting.
Wrong about 2 things. 1: The 60's is the best and probably most influential decade since the time of the classical composers. 2: There's lots of great music today, but you're too ignorant to try and find it. I don't like most of the modern pop, but you've gotta look for independent artists. The people still making bands. It's not their fault you only look for whats on the silver platter.
@@PeanutSpring3 Everyone has their own favorites, your welcome to your opinion, everyone else is welcome to their's.
@@michaelkrick3818 I was just teasing about the best decade. But in all seriousness, don't just rag on new music because it's new. If you don't like rap, that's fine. But it isn't all garbage. There are some really talented players in the field, and then there are guys who a popular for a couple years then disappear. Sure I don't like the modern pop stars, but I still give them a try and figure out why others like them. I guess what I'm saying is just be more openminded and less critical/judgey of things you don't listen to, thus know nothing about.
@@PeanutSpring3 I'm 74 and love the old songs so much because because I can understand the lyrics, fun songs, love songs, ballads. I can't even understand the lyrics to the new songs, the music is so loud it drowns out the lyrics. Mostly what I don't like is singers who think it's cool to grab their junk, that's just not cool (term from my generation). Anyways, God loves you and if your good enough for him your good enough for me. Have a great life, it goes fast.🤠👍
🥰 Just embrace life and listen to the music....💞✌️
This song transports me back to a better time! What a great rendition,
Love from South Louisiana 2022
Went to Lane Tech in Chicago, 1962 to 66. The music, cars, greasy spoon restaurant and friends have never been replicated. Those were indeed the days. Then we all went to Vietnam, and the dream ended. Larry Savage and Mike Kondziolka's names are on the wall. The rest of us from the neighborhood thankfully made it home. It was the end of an era.
Thank you for your service
I was 66-67 thank you for your service
Fell in love with my wife of 33 years dancing to this song, thanks so much, such great memories!
Such a nice song to remember growing up in the 50’s and 60’s in Okotoks, Alberta Canada

82 and still love it, sorry kids today missed out what a time to grow up compared to what it is today.
I can not put into words what we have lost, it breaks my heart to see what the world has become. 1943 baby
Those that were never there will never know just what this music, or era, was all about. My time. My music. Praise God.
I get it. I am 81, and this was a part of life..a big part. People had fun, enjoyed each other, and had real dreams that could come true. Great time
The best music in the 50's and 60's. Love Doo Wop
Loved the 50s. Sure wish I could go back.
I never knew how much these songs were a part of my growing up. Love, caring, heartbreak, joy etc. Thank for posting this. Beautiful memories!
Best songs ever!
When i was a young boy in the 50s I was playing with the radio and drove my parents nuts with the music I would find witch was the rockn rollers of the 50s and i still listen to it today I'll play something on the jukebox and drive the young people goofy. When i get done they'll say that music had something to say and had meaning to it thanks for the lifestyle you shared with us
Love my music, from the 50/60’s listen each day, 80 in 2023 .
I was lost in the fifties, though I was born in 1950. Music made it’s impact with my Mother’s Sweet Adeline’s group and her direction to piano lessons.
NEVER FORGET THE GOOD TIMES
My heart smiles when I play these great songs. Music has never been better to hear or sing a long with. What a great time t be young.
After reading all the comments, all I can say is WOW. It's a book in itself. Nothing more can I add . "Great to have been born in 1944"- Life was really wonderful then. Memories are a cherished thing to be able to have, and boy do I have hundreds.
How was the Vodka back then? Austin TX
@@NavyDon68 Actually, it was and still is quite good.
I'm a 1944 gut too. (That's my HS grad picture, don't be fooled.)
Not quite as fullfilling as the last 20 years.
Thanks for asking.@@NavyDon68
Thanks for posting this great song along with the wonderful pictures that bring back heart felt memories.
I am 71years old, and I will die listening to 50’s and early 60’s there are so many Beautiful songs that I will never ever forget some of my favorites would have to be Oh Rose-Marie, Duke of Earl, Pretty
Blue eyes, Oh Carol, why do fools fall in love. That’s enough when I Love almost every song from that time in my life. There were some songs I did not care for.
Sooo wish I could go back....dearly still love this beautiful music. Anyone wanna go back??
I LOVE THE MUSIC OF THE FIFTIES
One of my dads favorites songs...I listen in memory. I miss him so much, along with my mom too 💔
73 years old listening here in the Philippines. Fond memories of listening to this music on my little AM transistor radio when I was a teeny-bopper back in Minnesnowta.
77 today, going back to 1960 for awhile tonight, take all.
So could easily get lost in this track...... Totally awesome 👌👌👌👌
Growing up in fifties this song brings back a lot of old memories for me.
One of my favorites. How many times I danced to this one.
Love it. I remember listening to the lasted rock sons in the 50s. I was in the 5th and 6th grades. I listened at night, so the sound was down. Didn't want mom or dad getting on to me - but I listened for hours.. Those songs are still near and dear to me.
That was WLS-Chicago, right??
I, too, listened under the covers at night to the best music as a preteen. Hunter Hancock and his sidekick Margie were the duo who introduced me to the DooWop masters. I found the recording of "Eddy My Love" by the original recording duo, thanks to YT and downloaded it to my Pandora Best Oldies site. The song was recorded in 1956, when I was 11 yrs old. Somehow I hadn't heard it since then, but it stayed in my memory and I sing it to our cat named Edward, whom I call Eddy. Now I can listen to the song whenever I want. All of the words and intonations come back as if I heard them all of those years ago. Selective memory!! 🎶🎶
So smooth and easy blessed to have been coming of age in the late fifties and early sixties, incredible memories and times
The greatest years of my life 50s-60s the BEST
