    For anybody asking, the name is IP5389 8 cell power bank. You can also buy a version that has a proper display instead of this 7 segment one

    ARe you sure the coulomb counter wasn't reading the 60W port? What speed were you charging at? Slower than the discharge of the 60W port?
    Kinda sketchy to see how much the current jumps around on the MacBook, I get the feeling the IP5389 does not interface well with Macbooks. I had similar problems with SW2303 on a Macbook but SW2303 is just a shitty module in every variant I've gotten it in. What is the max charge rate of that Macbook?

      Absolutely sure. That's info from the board manufacturer 😄

    I noticed it didn't show the remaining percentage of the Cell when you inserted them until you decide to charge it for 10 seconds before it shows 97%
    😮

    This diy kit is very hard to find even on aliexpress. Only few and specific Chinese vendors make this.

    So where does the inductor go if you put 2 modules on a board?

      Oh its supposed to kind of hang off the back I think

    • @icku
      @icku  Před rokem +1

      You can see two cut spots on the end of the board. Those are for inductance, but you need some with lower wattage/smaller form factor.

  • @ajadiabdulrasheed7190

    Hello, does that main board battery percentage increase while charging with the expansion board and does the percentage decrease very well while discharging from the expansion board, I’m because of the IP5389 coulomb counter

    • @icku
      @icku  Před rokem

      Nope. The expansion board has no connection with the coulomb counter.

      Since the main board has a coulomb counter, and the expansion board is discharging and recharging the battery directly, does it not affect the SOC displayed by the main board
