Queen - Dead On Time (Official Lyric Video)
/ queenofficial - Hudba
I still can't wrap my head around the fact that they've never played this live.
WHATT?!! NEVER?!! Bands would sign their souls to the Devil to be able to write a song like this!!
it'd also probably translate nicely to a thrash metal song, much like Stone Cold Crazy (which was pretty much proto-thrash) as it does have the power and the speed
Demon Dethchase Metallica even covered Stone Cold Crazy and played it live sometimes. James Hetfield, the vocalist and guitarist even played it once with him in the vocals, Brian May and Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath's guitarist) on the guitars, John Deacon on the bass and Roger Taylor on the drums
Right, and never was a hit either, but in my opinion is one of their best songs, one of the best songs of all times.incredible vocals by Freddie, destroyer guitars by Brian, very difficult rhythm by Roger, and full bass by John....musical ecstasy
If it was played live, I know for a fact that the band would go crazzzy on!
Criminally underrated.
agreed
as is the entire record
You can say that about most of Queen's songs.
@@pavelpribylovsky4092 Mustapha, Jealousy, If You Can't Beat Them, Let Me Entertain You, this one, Dreamer's Ball and Fun It.
nope
Every other week I find another Queen song to love and have stuck in my head.
"Dragon Attack" has most recently done that to me.
Ye relatable
ironically, listening to this album made me late!
@Harry Warburg IT HAPPENS...
You're dead!
you are late ahahahahahahahah
XD
🎶 It's Late! 🎶
Other than The Beatles, Queen is the only group I'm aware of that, album after album, almost every track is worth listening to.
So just Queen then eh
and Pink Floyd.
@@zeinm.7391 Pink Floyd not for me, but if for you, I'll respect your opinion. My favorite Pink Floyd album is actually Piper, which is a very different Pink Floyd.
ALMOST every track??? Name one queen song that is NOT worth listening to.
@@melreitzell7538 Body Language. I love Freddie with all my heart but this song is really weird. The tempo is nice but the rest is really awkward... I don't hate it but it's not my favourite at all. It's worth listening to it once, not twice.
Queen is the best!
A M E N
Simple but true
Nikola Italo OFC HONEY (said in Freddie Mercury's voice)
I know
Brian May guitar playing is so magnificent & High speed rhythm makes fine music !
"LOL" at the people that think Queen is just "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Are The Champions".
Let's see... we have this song, Seaside Rendezvous, Death on Two Legs, I'm In Love With My Car, I'm Going Slightly Mad, Innuendo, The Show Must Go On, Seven Seas of Rhye, Killer Queen, Hammer to Fall, Somebody to Love, Stone Cold Crazy, Bohemian Rhapsody (who can forget?) and so many more. Every single one of these I can pick up and have a blast with, and I'm not even remembering all of them.
@@gripen777 Keep Yourself Alive, Nevemore, The Martch Of The Black Queen, White Queen, Dreams Ball, Cool Cat, Action This Day etc
@@elwazaxd123 These Are The Days of Our Lives, Who Wants to Live Forever, Mustapha, '39, Love of My Life, Play The Game, Mother Love, Tie Your Mother Down, Bicycle Race, Don't Stop Me Now, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon (sidenote: I find it hysterical that this and Seaside Rendezvous are on the same album as Death on Two Legs), You're My Best Friend, Made in Heaven, Under Pressure (not sure how I forgot that one), etc
@@gripen777 The Millionaire Waltz, The Prophets Song, Innuendo, Put of the Fire, Under Pressure, Long Away, Dancer, Keep Passing The Open Windows, Good Company, The Fairy Fellers Master - Stroke, I Want It All, Headlong, Scandal, Save Me, Play the Game, All Dead All dead, No One But You, Liar, It's Late, You and I, Jealousy, Ogre Battle, Who Needs You, Is This The World we Created?, More Of That Jazz, Las Palabras del Amor (Take From Hot Space) and Need Your Loving Tonight :)
Yeah kkkkkk
Growing up in 70's I casually liked Queen but didn't consider myself a fan, not until the day my next door neighbor brought over 2 new albums for me to listen to, one was Van Halen's debut and the other was Queen Jazz. Of course I was blown away with VH, but it was this song Dead on Time in particular that blew my mind and officially made me a Queen fan from that day on.
What a day of discovery.
Thanks Jim Dew
Yeah! Thanks Jim! Great song this one...along with Let me entertain you 🤙
QUEEN FACT
3:09 the sound of thunder storm which you can hear in this part Brian recorded in Montreux when there was big storm 😊
Credits: “Thunderbolt courtesy of God”
@@0809AriAri yes 😁
God: I sue Queen for stealing my thunder and without giving me any credits.
no it wasnt
THUNDERBOLTS AND LIGHTNIGHT
VERY VERY FRIGHTENING ME!
“Jazz” is the best Queen album, hands down.
it’s an amazing album but far from best imo
My favorite is A Day At The Races:)
The debut album is cool
Agreed
Jazz does have some real gems: Mustapha, Dead on Time, Dreamers Ball... Quite a variety
this song is always stuck in my head when i'm late for work.
3:06 "Thunderbolt courtesy of God"
It inspired metal songs of the following generations. Please hear the end of "Fight fire with fire" of Metallica and you can see the resemblance.
amazing heavy metal song from Queen. Underrated as hell. One of my fav song of Brian and probably my fav from Jazz.
I forgot how much I LOVED THIS SONG!!!! Damn!!
And I heard someone saying that Brian May didn't have fast hands
ah classic Queen, this is when they were at their best...
Queen had their 2 worst albums both in 1980 and even those were 5/10. everything else was excellent
bitsmidt the game was a cash-in. Hot space was way better than anyone gives it credit for. Flash Gordon soundtrack was mediocre
they were always at their best
The Game was great, what are you talking about?
Ted Pysh I get what you mean with the game half the album is great the other half is pretty poor and hot space does deserve credit for experimentation but it didn't go well.
It's insane how underrated this is
One of the best queen songs ever. IMO.
An absolute beast of a rocker. One of May's finest performances.
Brian is amazing guitar
No, he's a guitar player, he's not guitar
@@VasilyMusic you never know he could be a guitar lol
human guitar!
the best guitar god of all!!!!!
I like how Roger's drums on this and also Let Me Entertain You sound very crisp and punchy on the recording.
Think this is the nearest Freddie gets to rapping!
EXACTLY. Stone Cold Crazy. And maybe Bring Back That Leroy Brown :)
Ever heard Dragon Attack? :)
Only 189 times :)
But could he? Who am I kidding he can do almost any kind of song!
What the fuck are you talking about?
I can't believe I discovered this only now. So good.
Guitar shredding is sick in this
This baby just rocks! I love this song!!!
Jazz=Queen at their peak, it is their best album
Fantastic dense intelligent album. Some of the best Britain has to offer.
And Rolling Stone savaged it. Fucking morons.
@@vinniemoran7362 Yea, that really made me mad. It’s sad seeing that they trashed Queen often. Now they praise singers who don’t work hard to make music, but it’s funny because most of the music they praise now isn’t even meaningful. I’m not saying that’s it’s bad but the songs have like no emotion.
Love this album. "The Jazz "
omar61306 the only jazz I like
One of my favorite albums.
Queen were a band beyond Rock!
this is my 1st time hearing this. it is awesome.
MY FAVORITE QUEEN ALBUM
this is almost metal!!!
This IS metal, speedmetal btw
@@nomadmusicbk2366 There is a diffrence of Metal and Heavy Metal ;)
Almost?!?!
*Stone cold crazy, y'know*
@@flor...encia.. now that's Thrash metal before it even existed
The way it goes from Dead On time to 7Days is a sheer masterpiece. Poetry.

Jazz, the best Queen album.
Sunsetlover one of the best Queen albums.
Yes
Got this album for my 13th birthday ! I still rate Brian as one of my favourite guitarists - always playing for the song , rather than showing off... My other fave is EVH and they collaborated on some Starfleet Project EP which I still have somewhere
Really love Brian Mays guitar work on this song
Stamping on the ceiling, hammering on the walls, gotta get out, gotta get out, gotta get...oh you know I´m going crazy ! Sublime stuff !!
This song RIPS! Awesome SONG!
Freddie's singing wow,Brian's riffs woah, John's bass cool, ROGER TAYLOR'S DRUMMING OMG.'
Solo in this is stunning
Brian is on top form in this song, top guitarist 🎸
Finally. Someone who posted the studio. Thank you so much.
That someone is Queen!
Queen uploaded it lol
How was this not on the QUEEN ROCKS compilation?
The end is simply perfect.
FUCKING TIMELESS MASTERPIECE!
Even God is on the album!
Honestly, this is the exact song to pull up when I actually wake up late to work and I’m speeding like a mf (safely) down the highway.
Underrated gem of a track
Should've been released as a single. 'Jazz', last album of Queen without synthesisers. And they were proud of it. Such performances of Freddie, Brian and Roger, tho' John didn't do it bad. Grrrrreat!
This is such a Banger!👌🔥🔥🔥
Like a fast runnin Train..you can feel the Power and the Steam..absolutely GREAT.🔥👑
Lovely acid rock... Queen are the kings....
I'm never tiered to listen to Queen. The best Band af all seasons 💞🇬🇷
I'm not dead YET
don't worry! hes almost ready to drop off
“ I’m feeling much better!”
and now?
Unique style of play guitar in the world!
Dead On Time, Stone Cold Crazy, Modern Times Rock n Roll, Son and Daughter, Gimme The Prize, The Hitman, Ogre Battle, Tear It Up, Great King Rat, etc should be made into a compilation album as Queen's heaviest songs.
I vote to add 'The Prophet Song' ... 'Fight from the inside' ... 'More of that Jazz' ... the fast version of 'We will Rock you' ... 'Death on Two Legs' ... 'Flick of the Wrist' ... 'Dragon Attack' ... 'Liar' ... 'Sheer Heart Attack' ... 'In love with my car' ... 'Loser in the End' ... 'Machine World' ... 'White Man' ... and 'I Go Crazy' is one of their rockiest rock songs though only released as a B-side and deserves far more exposure too !
my favorite part is at 0:23....what a powerful voice!!
A bit like Robert Plant there.
Pure Heavy Metal.
I like this song very much!!❤️
0:24, when you step on a lego without wearing any socks😂
With socks is the same
Lol
I'd bet Brian loves this song.
Too much fun playing it
Antonio Drugo well he wrote it, so I would hope he loves it!
I had never heard "Dead on Time" until now. This was good! It's a shame that they never performed it live.
so much power !!! Queen at his best ! Lima - Perú
Oh my God!!!!!! I've ALWAYS sung "LIVE on time" since 1978!!!!!! Now I'm 59 years old and I must learn this!!! It's never too late..........
Great song 😀
Oh my God, great pics!!!!!
i belive theyr from vinyl records envelopes i remember listening to them as a kid and remember the pictures
Simply love this song.
great guitar
and great song
So basically, every time when adult life prevents me from practicing guitar for longer period of time, I stumble upon some tune from "Jazz" and I catch myself neglecting my "real" job in favor of practicing Brian May's licks. This is one of the most insane rock songs ever written and it's been incredibly underrated for more than four decades. But not in my book!
I’m scared to start driving because I listen to Queen and I know at some point this or Don’t Stop Me Now will come on and I’ll get pulled over for speeding
Incredible!!
Holy Shit that riff
3:09
perfect line for a meteor to hit the earth with in a film
Great song
Straight JAMMM
And the gem of a throwaway line on the album jacket: "Thunderclap courtesy of God" 😂
Actually, I am not a dedicated fan of Queen of some sort, but I have a wide array of music interest. This album needs to be played LOUD !
Person: I don't like Queen.
Me: You'll pay for this.
The next day me: Dead on time, excellent. Time for funeral planning.
Reminds me of Stone Cold Crazy
Thank you so much!✨❤️✨
2:43-2:47 Anyone else hear the riff for Keep Yourself Alive?
2:43-2:45
I heard it!!!!
I heard it
No
Si de hecho en la letra dice KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE!!!. No es casualidad para mi jajaja
Desde San Luis, ARGENTINA.
That thunder can't be in a better place than where it is, it was one of the best coincidences that i've ever seen
The thunder was recorded by Brian May (in Tenerife maybe?). It's not co-incidence that it appears where it does in the song. They put it there on purpose.
work of pure genius !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whoa this song rips!
Queen rock !
This wasn't played live but lesser tracks like "If You Can't Beat Em" and "Let me entertain you" were? I'm usually more partial to Queen's studio work but this song would have soared live. (7/2/18)
heck my life Yes it is. For me it's clunky, stiff and doesn't flow anywhere near as well as this.
Speed metal at its best.
Bro-- this album had so many great Queen songs which were never hits. Great 70's b-side material! Dead On Time, Only Seven Days, Leaving Home Ain't Easy, More Of That Jazz... "YOU'RE DEAD!!!"
Underrated album
Yes for sure. Every song every album was good and actually brilliant. Love them❤
Best Queen song
Just when you think the pace can't be higher.
2:32 Hold my beer.
Sounds like a good song for a movie about cars and racing
Happy 74th Birthday to you Queen Legend Freddie Mercury, Hearty wishes from Hyderabad, India 05/09/2020
Potente canción.. frenética...las guitarras k decir....
Should of been played live
