One thing I don’t really see many people talking about is how him ripping out the jail bars at 1:23 syncs with the “yeah, yeah, yeah!” Always stood out to me.
What I haven’t seen is that this song symbolizes Johnny’s story. This song mentions that someone(in this context, Johnny) got their life together after leaving their memories of someone behind. He moved past the guilt of going into crime to support his father and doing his own thing, which is music. He is “still standing” even after his father got stuck in prison.
Some aspects of this animation are really amazing.

I love how surprised Johnny is when he finishes the song. He pushes the piano away as if shocked, shocked that he tapped into something truly magnificent and it caught him off guard
