Getting rid of buendia is crazy , he glues our attack/midfield together , he is a pressing monster and missing him is the reason we’ve struggled massively against low block teams . This is a horrible take jim.

As a Villa fan I agree. Buendia was looking ready to take his game to next level this season, he liooked super sharp in pre-season. Obviously nobody will buy him in Jan anyway whilst he recovers from ACL.
The Villa players who could realistically be sold are Dendoncker, Traore, Iroegbonum, Chambers. At a stretch Matty Cash if we could find an upgrade, but probably one to address in summer.

Sorry to say it james but you really got it wrong with Brighton. De zerbi has said that van Hecke will be the next Lewis dunk and that his improvement is the best he’s ever seen as a coach. When he first started to play we were unsure too but the Man City home game at the end of last season when he completely locked up Haaland showed us he is quality and he’s got better and better since. As a Luton Fan. I would absolutely love Neco Williams. We have a big issue (and an underappreciated one) that when Kabore isnt playing well (Has had a few shockers this season), what we normally do is play Doughty RB and Bell/Giles LB. THIS is a problem. Doughty is one of our best performing players this season but he cant do it as well on the other side. I also do not like that our entire right side is held together by a loan player. Is Neco Williams too much money? Maybe, I just think we have a chance of getting him, especially if Forest are desperate to get rid of him. Maybe like 5-6 Mil

Would agree with selling Williams however he's played in our last 2 games and has arguably been our best player in both of those, he's getting game time now and with how Nuno sets up, it looks likely that he'll carry on playing as he's much more suited to playing as a wing back as opposed to a full back in a back four

Great video James but I think you were a bit off about Neco Williams. Cooper definitely didn’t prefer playing Serge Aurier this season - he’s been near bottom of the pecking order. Ola Aina was his preferred choice whenever he wasn’t playing at left-back, and Williams has been playing very well at right-back since Aina dipped in form.
If Williams is able to play well in a back 4, I say we keep him. If he can’t sue to being too defensively-fragile (which he’s improved upon lots this season) then I don’t see why he isn’t our starting right-back going forward. Great player to watch against Wolves and Spurs recently.

Re- Fabio Silva, as a wolves fan I’ve seen the amount of hate he gets here, which personally I think is harsh. Of course he hasn’t lived up to his price tag but that’s not his fault. He got chucked in at the deep end at 18 when Jimenez had his head injury and wasn’t terrible all things considered. Had decent loan spells at both Anderlecht & PSV, came back looked good in pre season under Julen but big Gaz didn’t fancy him + he hasn’t looked good with the few sub appearances he’s been given. He’s a player that needs confidence & at his age should just be playing football.
There’s 100% a good player in Fabio, he’s intelligent, makes great runs and finds space but I think he’d suit the Spanish league better.

As a Wolves fan Silva would probably be my choice as well. He clearly just isn't good enough as a striker. He's well rounded, but his well rounded-ness is average. He has an okay pace, pasable finishing, decent link up play, etc.
At the very least, he's not even close to a starter. His transfer value will just continue to drop the more he's on the bench. Cashing in on him now should definitely be our priority.

It's that he has been injured since October, supposedly he'll be back in February. I hope he is back soon because he'll add a lot more attacking options in games were we struggle to do anything in front of the goal. Kalvin Phillips is the easy pick, for both parties having accepted now it is time to move on.
Perrone is on loan to play, wouldn't have at city but they recognize his ability. Given how well he has done, next summer coming back could be his time to make it into the team. Pep had no idea who Rico was until he played a pre season game. Instantly changed his mind.
Sergio Gomez is one to leave, not managed to force himself into the squad consistently so needs to look for minutes elsewhere. Barco inbound is the talk which would take any minutes he currently has.
James McAtee is in the same boat as Perrone, depending on how his loan spell plays out. Irony is that if he stayed he would have got a lot of minutes. Clearly talented.
Josh Wilson-Esbrand more likely to leave after his loan spell at Reims.
Cancelo needs to be sold in the summer.
Liam Delap on loan is more likely to leave after his loan spell at Hull.

you are assuming Martial is even sellable, he's not by the way, no club on earth would want him.
I agree with you on Kelleher. I like him, but he deserves to play regular football, but then we need to sign an understudy for Alisson, it's not easy to sign a decent goal keeper that is ok being second choice behind worlds best keeper. If he wanted, I'd sign David De Gea, but he needs to lower his wage demand.
funnily enough many of these on your list are ex-liverpool players we sold on for pretty good money.

Jota is too good to be riding the bench every other game. If it was up to me, I'd send him on loan until the end of the season to let Gakpo and Diaz face off for that starting spot.

Nah it can’t be Maximo Perrone, bro is on loan at Las Palmas and he is good right now so he is one for the future for us so he is not a NEED to sell. The one player that we NEED to sell is either Kalvin Phillips or Sergio Gomez because they don’t have any minutes to play for Man City. They will not be in our starting 11 anyways so they should go out and play for a team that can give these players more minutes to play and be in the starting 11 so Perrone is a horrible shout

villa dont need to sell buendia, it might be better for himself, but for villa he is perfect as an impact player we need to build the quality on the bench not reduce it. And i dontr think buendia would cause problems for us if not getting starts.

Im an Arsenal fan, but I gotta say that I like Maupay. Let me explain! Everybody remembers Ty of the AFTV absolutely hating on Maupay and I agreef with him, however since then and the injury to Leno everything went quite good for everybody involved except Maupay. Leno plays weekly for Fulham, Emi Martinez won the world cup and is the indisputed Nr.1 for Villa and my beloved Arsenal is doing really good. Maupay got sold to Everton were he had a horrible stint and now back at Brentford he is is back to rattling the lot just look at the Brentford vs Tottenham game. Yes he is an absolute rat however he is also one of the most entertaining guys in the prem.

Aston Villa - one player that's weak sauce is Matty Cash. I get the Buendia call but he's handy and a bit of Rottweiller. The squad isn't big enough to cope without back up. Our right back options are limited but if we can strengthen in the right back position then do it and make Cash realise he's not indispensable. He's never had a push by anyone. "A push" is standard in football to better a mid player. Cash is mid. Unai knows it. Ivan Toney to Aston Villa.

I can’t see villa selling Emy . The only reason we brought in zaniolo was because they wanted someone who fit the same player profile… or at least as close as they could get . Perhaps if zaniolo hit the ground running… maybe … but I very much doubt it .
This is the crazy thing… we’ve really missed him !! We can play left and right but when Emery wants to play through the middle, we’ve been quite wasteful. Villa CAN and WILL get better with him in the side
