This Episode Will Make You HATE Mordecai

- Lift With Your Back is an episode of Regular Show. Here we have Mordecai and Rigby fighting over self-worth with Mordecai being at his worst. He's hypocritical, unlikable, and is giving all of his time to CJ, a new girl in his life relatively, at the public detriment of his friend.

Best person in the show.
I don't hate Mordecai, I just don't like that he puts his relationships above his best friend. 🤦🏾♀️
I will be piss to if that happen to my friend. Unluckily its happen irl
Mordecai does act fake sometimes. In the movie Rigby lied about getting in and Mordecai not getting into College University because he didn't want to lose Mordecai. He had to go to another college and he assumed Mordecai would go off to CU, so he lied and didn't go to college and stayed at Mordecai's dorm in another college. He didn't want to go to college without Mordecai because Mordecai was his only friend and he didn't want to lose him. Mordecai even killed Rigby over a girl in an episode, all because Rigby just wanted to watch a movie with him. Mordecai said he thinks Rigby is smart in his own way when Rigby asked if he was dumb, but in his head he still looks down on Rigby to some degree because he's dumb. Rigby knows and acknowledges he's an idiot and he's a screw up because, throughout his life, everyone has told him that, so he suffers from a lack of self confidence. Rigby is an idiot sometimes but deep down he's a really good friend.
voiceless glottal fricative idk man, if he was a real friend he would have wanted the best for mordi and not lied to him.
@@bigtittyboy748 that's true but he didn't want their friendship to be ruined by mordecai going to college without him so he thought he could fix it
I don’t have a friend so if I had a gf than that’s all I gotta worry about
Rigby developed the most in regular show. He went from being such a screw up and annoying to someone who is now as responsible or even more responsible and has more common sense than Mordecai.
Hes still not more responsible at the end. Half the episodes are still rigby taking things too far and mordecai trying to stop him
Yeah Mordecai is still more responsible than Rigby
That responsible thing is a lie. Rigby never stayed responsible for a big amount of time. He was probably responsible for 10 episodes out of the 200+. I love him but he is lazy as hell.
That last part is the biggest cap ever, not like the other “Mordicai Sucks” comments are good either
@@cosmicify7126 no he wasn't they both were slackers and irresponsible. Fucking npc with selective memory
Alternate title: Mordecai is a massive simp and a terrible friend.
Edit: So many people have said that rigby is bad too. I just want to mention that rigby is not great either, but i was just focusing on mordecai, since that's what this video is about.

I mean both of them are terrible friends to begin with
Eh, rewatch the series, they were both shitty to each other. If it doesn't equal out, Rigby was shittier.
Rigby literally stole Mordecai's acceptance letter so he didn't leave him for college, Rigby is 100% worse.
I know for a fact that someone is gonna make a comment about Mordicai being a simp, if someone does, tell them I called it.
i mean...
Oof
I was about to but now I'm not lmao

I love how rigby sleeps on a pile of clothes that he never wears
I know this is late, but the only reason that he doesn't sleep on a bed is because Mordecai stole his to double up his own bed because it's "just too comfortable"

I mean HE IS a raccoon
The huge difference in my mind between Mordo and Rigby is their growth throughout the series. Rigby is a pretty awful guy at first - lazy, stupid, causes trouble a lot. But as time goes on, he really grows as an individual. Eileen inspires him to become a better person and he becomes a great partner and goes back to get his high school diploma and it's really heart warming.
Mordecai never learns. He makes the same mistakes he did with CJ that he did with Margaret, he prioritises women he likes over his best friend. So many episodes are dedicated to helping impress Margaret whom in the end didn't care, while Rigby just wants to hang out with his best friend.
In the end, Rigby is the one in a stable and loving relationship because he didn't try to force anything and go simp mode, while Mordecai pushed too far with women and ended up ruining two friendships he had with them.
This is just wrong. Mordecai DID grow. After his relationship with CJ, he resolved a lot of the pent-up emotion he had towards Margaret and became okay with being single--that's character growth.

Really, Mordecai didn’t even need to admit to skipping out on work. All Rigby wanted was for him to tell everyone that he was helpful. He just had to say “Guys, Rigby may be lazy at times, but he has been more productive as of late. He’s been helping out more so that I can spend more time with CJ. And yes Benson, he can in fact replace a lightbulb on his own.”
Boom, all that needed to be said. And he couldn’t even do that. I’ve been disappointed in Mordecai before, but this was just a brand new level of low for me.
by not even donig that one would prolly do what rigby did there: quit on the spot, but not before making sure mordecai would be fired aswell by coming clean.
and the fact Benson didn't even get mad at Mordecai for not doing his work is completely out of character!
I personally identify closely with Rigby, I left high school without graduating, never got a license, but I always do what I can for my friends even though I screw up sometimes. He's not stupid or lazy necessarily, he just sees himself as low so he never tries as hard for himself. But no matter what, he always stands up for his friends and people he cares about.

This comment>>> most relatable character in the show for me as well.
Thank you for summing up exactly what I love about him. I find him super relatable too.
And when he doesn’t, he goes with the crowd
I was having problems with Mordecai ever since he's started having romantic arcs that never really go anywhere and only end in disappointment.

I mean it's kinda realistic
@@tobysmith2081 no, that annoying literally he broke with CJ 5 TIMES!!! And they still dating only to ship Mordecai with a random bat.
@@mohamedlamin2968 He could have made a comeback with Margaret.
IsaacTheGoat nah like toby said; it’s realistic though, sometimes the people that you spend the most time with and love the most just end up leaving someday. You can appreciate the relationship that you had but gotta move on.
I did hate him in this episode, but I hated him even more in "More Smarter"
Not for me personally, but I hated him in that episode to, honestly constantly making fun of him not having a diploma is what got them in the situation they were in, and no one tried to help rigby until Eileen motivated him, which did show that 1 person can fix someone’s outlook on life
Mordecai might have been an asshole in that assholes but its still one of my favorite episodes of the entire series
The Unknown yes I fucking love how they become so smart they begin talking in latin and they see everyone like cavemen it’s just too good
Ragnaric Studios I think that’s a little unfair, you gotta keep in mind Mordecai and Rigby are practically brothers, it’s normal for teasing and bragging to happen.
@@kmalik707 yea but theres a limit in where brothers can tease each other before they hit a sensetive topic.

Berlian Cs - yes, he was. The creators even bizarrely made an episode all about that.
Remember when mordeci kills rigby over Margaret? Yeah...
No one seems to remember that Rigby tried pushing him first. It seemed to be a kill or be killed situation. Mordecai did the smart thing and killed him.
@@quaggies7013 they both in the wrong on that one but Mordecai is more wrong by killing him, because it just shiws his insecurities that he couldn't "get the girl"
I hate when people bring that episode up like Rigby wasn't acting like an asshole the entire episode. And he shoved him first. Then Mordecai found a way to bring him back.
FireWarrior1016 exactly
Remember when Rigby tries to kill Mordicai over being PLAYER ONE?
Its like throughout the series mordecai and Rigby switched places character wise rigby was more annoying but lovable earlier on and mordecai was more responsible and more respectable. As the series went on mordecai became more selfish and irresponsible while rigby was growing as a character and actually became a lot more relatable he formed a respectable relationship with eileen and had genuinely been happier and a lot more selfless
Yes finally someone puts it into words because I've somewhat noticed that
Rigby hands down, has one of the most satisfying character arcs Iv'e seen a character go through. Like yeah, he never even went to college like Mordecai, and it took him years to finish highschool. But in the end, he became more of a man than Mordecai could ever hope to become.
Eileen honestly made Rigby a better person. But CJ and Margaret drove Mordecai insane
Spot on
I like this. It shows that while some people become mature and better over the years, some people get worse. Though I do wish that Mordecai had a redemption arc in the end.
Mordecai cared more about girls even more that his best friend, even when the girls abandoned him.
but he still cared bout his bro
@@prodteendizaster2380 that's true.
Y'all forget Mordecai's relationships with these girls outside of the simp compilations-in summary of what I said in another reply thing, rewatch the series, there was much more to Margaret and CJ.

Emporio Alnino he’s a blue jay
When Mordecai refused to say Rigby was useful was just absolutely enraging. Even his stoic face when he says “Yeah, you’re my friend” shows he knows what he should say but he just doesn’t want to. He doesn’t care.
I agree I was very confused when Mordecai said that Rigby was not useful and the chairs episode last I remember Rigby literally took down the destroyer of worlds all by himself with both his hands and his tail in my opinion that seems pretty useful to me
I feel like Rigby was the true protagonist of Regular Show.
I liked him better
"This Episode Will Make You HATE Mordecai"
So, not It's Time? Or Jinx? Or simply every single episode where he's a simp?
You do have a point tho
He is very easy to hate.
I agree I expected it to be It's Time
More Smarter, he literally said "I'm not sure if we should both have diplomas, I'm the smart guy, and you're friend." What a dick. You'd rather have Rigby be dumb not have his diploma?
@@LeonardoShellhead Considering how he reacted to Rigby graduating, he definitely would.
He actually didn’t drop out of college he was originally accepted in the movie but Rigby typed a new letter saying he was rejected and didn’t find out till years later
Different Colleges I believe
he ended up dropping out of a community college anyway
Markx 22 He went to an art school community college and later dropped out.
He did drop out from Art College
Now that's why rigbys an asshole I would never forgive that he sabotaged and lied to me.
When rigby collapsed on the bed and Mordecai asked rigby to do him another favor. I would have kicked Mordecai in the jaw.
Real dick move. The audacity to even pull that shit after you see how your friend was upset.
Honestly
Mordecai is the embodiment of that one friend that would leave you quickly for their partner no matter how toxic the relationship...
I've had friends do that to me multiple times and they never realized they were in the wrong no matter who tells them they wouldn't even listen to their family. I hate friends like that because we all know that their relationship will end and then they'll come back to you like nothing happened. The worst part about it is that they'll keep doing the same thing over and over again in almost every relationship that they're in and they won't feel bad about it which sucks
If it happens multiple times with no maturity or progress I tell ya get yourself new friends.
I already lost respect for him when he not only acted like a simp to Margaret, but to CJ as well. I thought he would be better off single, and the writers thought he would be better off single, but in the ending they just make him marry this random bat girl???
And then cheated on CJ.
Hopefully he changed his ways with the bat girl but I doubt it
Because he grew up and met someone past the usual time frame of the show fans are exposed to.
Is he not allowed to grow off screen?
I think him marrying a woman not part of the main cast was a good idea. It showed that he's grown up after the events of the show and isn't just chasing women or thirsting over his past girlfriends anymore. He grew mature enough to have a stable relationship.

I love how rigby was willing to endure excruciating pain, just to prove a point.

Mordecai is just weird when it comes to girls
CJ is too quick to assume
And along those lines
I really like Eileen, Rigby and Thomas (Nikolai)

These simp videos/compilations-not blaming you, personally, it's not your fault-ruined people's perception of Mordecai. They forget literally everything else outside of his simping, and forget that simping is when you're in a one-sided romantic relationship with someone who shows no interest in anything romantic with you. Shit got romantic with Margaret in season 4, and romantic with CJ in season 5-Mord and CJ actually had a good thing going in 5 and 6. But all they remember is season 1, 2, and 3, where he didn't have anything going for him romantically.
They also forget the shittiness of Rigby throughout the whole show. If you stack up the shittiness throughout the seasons, it's worse with Rigby-I mean, he bet all of the park member's lives over a bowling ball. He can be a whiny bitch sometimes. But at the end of the day, they're both good people.
Glad I’m not the only one seeing how hypocritical this fan base is being
@@CombatSportsNerd ikr they completely downplay Mordecai's character and shit on him just cuz he's a simp, Mordecai has flaws to flesh him out more simping happens to be one of em. And they worship and glorify Rigby cuz he a chad apparently and has no flaws or shortcomings, Rigby has a ton of flaws and started out as a massive asshole to everyone. Like for example he destroyed the whole park and beat up everyone just cuz he couldn't be player one in a game. Rigby is no better than Mordecai but he still has good traits like covering up for his friend. Mordecai also stuck up for RIgby in the Eggcellent challenge when he was sick and when Benson talked shit about him Mordecai punched him in the face and defended him, that's real friendship there. But apparently the close minded hypocritical fanbase seems to center Mordecai's entire character around being a simp so he's a simp with no other traits or redeeming qualities. Sorry for my long rant
Cockroach thx for actually being non biased and recognizing both characters flaws and good qualities. Ppl overexaggerate when it comes to simping

We just got the satisfaction of seeing Rigby get the spotlight and grow up as a better person after being a prick in the previous seasons and in the movie, while Mordecai's happened during the ending of the show
@@granmastersword still Rigby has grown as a person and after season 6, Mordecai got over his simping. Both are much more likable by the end of the show
Mordecai hardly ever tells the workers at the park that Rigby is useful and helps around the park but he never ever sees the fact that IF Rigby wasn't there with him working at the park with him in season 1 then 1) Mordecai would have maybe never gotten with Margret and still would be the same shy simp stuttering at his crush and 2) would have never met CJ because Rigby was the one who made the dating account that actually brought Mordecai and CJ together

He became obsessed wit CJ and he never took the time to mature himself, in the process.

I'm sorry I'm late, but I firmly believe Eileen is the best character in the show. She's super supportive of Rigby, Margaret, and even Mordecai, and I think that her bringing Mordecai still made sense in-character. She probably didn't know the full story of how much of a jerk Mordecai was being, and even if she did she's someone who inherently hates conflict and wanted Mordecai and Rigby to just be friends again (probably for the sake of Rigby's back.
Certainly this episode was Mordecai at his worst, but he's decent overall. The recovery certainly was impressive.
Mordecai had a dip in my opinion. He started out alright, took a nosedive in the middle of the series, and recovered at the end.
Rigby just kept gradually getting better and his low point really was at the start of the series.
Guanglai Kangyi, Age 15 I feel like it’s cause Mordecai started good while Rigby started out bad. Rigby could only improve because he was already at the bottom of his life, while Mordecai was always more or less a simp and he just became a super simp.

I personally find that both Mordecai and Rigby have episodes where I can't stand them. For Mordecai, I hate It's Time. For Rigby, I can't think of one right now but there are a few
Wall buddy and fortune cookie are some examples
Goku Black I didn’t mind fortune cookie because he actually didn’t see Benson’s bad luck, and muscleman gave rigby his bad luck, so it was really his fault.
Do me a solid maybe? I can't really think of anything.
In Wall Buddy, Rigby was a massive brat.
Literally almost every episode things go to shit because of Rigby's fault
I feel like Mordecai and Rigby went opposite ways in their development, when the series starts Rigby is admittedly very annoying since he causes most of the conflicts in the first few seasons BUT what I like about his character is that he didn't stay there instead he found a very supportive and non toxic girl who helped him change into the best version of himself, Mordecai on the other hand, the first few episodes he's a tolerable character, but as more and more women get involved the scummy side comes out more, the fact that he murdered Rigby over a temporary girl that never even liked him or acknowledged his existence, and again in this episode he thinks that because their dynamic has always been him being a fake and manipulative piece of $!#% that it's okay to continue the dynamic, that gets me heated, however it's nowhere near as bad as the Rigby graduation episode in which he refused to attend because 'Oh now everyone's gonna be talking about Rigby more and I'll lose my power in this dynamic I've built because Rigby took it upon himself to grow as a person boo hoo' that was the episode that actually made me appreciate Rigby way more than Mordecai because while he started off a nuisance he slowly matures into a better man... Mordecai tho? I never see him grow as a person in fact in the final episode I'm sure the creative team was so tired of his simpy @$$ that they just gave him an offscreen wife to avoid having to explain how it would go down that honestly makes me feel like Rigby is personally my favorite character, he starts off as the conflict instigator but with time he grows into one of the best supporting characters in the show and that is what makes a good plot imho
He was never annoying.
Wonder how Mordecai could have been better then?
Mordecai was the reason I stopped watching the show. Ive always loved Rigby over Mordecai. I've seen this attitude wayyy early on and I even tried to like him but knowing the creator voices him and favors him, hes just gonna continue to piss me off. I was in the minority but looks like people are finally seeing his true colors.

What? CJ is literally a controlling bitch, who made Mordicai's life miserable. She kept on overreacting every time he hung out with other women and always blew it out of proportion. She couldn't just be more mature, no, instead she just enabled Mordecai to be more and more of a simp.
@@YujiUedaFan if you see the person you are dating kissing their 'friend' and then acting falsely innocently, how'd you feel about it?

even if rigby is lazing, he still always has to get mordecais back because mordecai is bad at relationships, that’s just upsetting

More Smarter is one of my least favorite episodes that have Mordecai and Rigby arguing. Yes, Rigby should have cared more in high school, but the fact that Mordecai calls Rigby out for not having a high school diploma, and ruthlessly teases him about it actually makes me side with Rigby in that episode.
This episode doesn’t make me hate modercai I kinda love this episode cause Rigby was underrated at work and proved them wrong
Remember that time he was jealous of how proud everyone was of Rigby for graduating high school so he decided to not go to his graduation or support him? Of course, he ended up going, but still. Rigby called him out for how selfish he was being.
So did High Five Ghost iirc
It's not like it isn't a human thing to be jealous because of how his own life wasn't going anywhere and was stuck in a rut. Is he not allowed to have flaws?
It's actually crazy to me how Mordecai's brain has developed fully and he still can't man up and give a sincere apology to Rigby after everything they've been through, after everything Mordecai put Rigby through.
I feel for Rigby in that episode. When I was at my first job I was known as the store screw up. I constantly messed things up, was considered annoying, and was always looked down at as just some bum. But I kept at it and didn't quit. I kept trying to learn and get better. Eventually they stopped those nasty insults and jabs at me and recognized what I was doing. I started getting little gift cards. I got a raise 3 different times and became manager. I feel accomplished about it. I might not be the best but I will always prove my worth against people who try to push me back down to my image.
I honestly don't mind Mordecai, but when it comes to episodes like this, I really can't stand how he's portrayed. He really redeemed himself towards the end of the show.
@@xandervanbecelaere8421 1
Would have been cooler if we get to see his improvement in the ending with more detail
He ended the show by being with some nameless character and nobody looked happy. Yeah he "redeemed" himself
I can't wait for you to cover that episode where Rigby graduates. It's the absolute worst because of how Mordecai is with rigby. He was so upset that rigby was successful and accomplished in something, it's the most disgusting thing ever. What you said in this video about how Mordecai sees himself when compared to rigby resonated with me because it pointed out something that I thought when I went and rewatched the graduation episode. Mordecai needs to be better than rigby at everything for the sake of his own mercenary ego. Even side characters like High Five Ghost pointed out how messed up it was that Mordecai couldn't be happier for his friend's success at something major.
Rigby deserved a better friend. Mordecai says that rigby held him back all his life, so why did he decide to let him stick around if that's how he truly felt? Mordecai holds himself back because of how complacent he is.
You put that perfectly I couldn’t have said it better myself
Benson even tore Mordecai a new one in that episode.
@Anime Drip you can have lots of things in common with a toxic friend; that doesn't stop them from being bad for you
Didn’t rigby make a fake decline letter when mordecai got accepted into college?
@@jinpyo2267 Yes, I guess their both guilty then.
You know I often questioned their friendship, and I thought the only reason why Mordecia hangs with Rigby is because Mordecai needs Rigby to make him look better because without Rigby, he's an average joe.
Rigby also has a healthier relationship with women, namely Eileen, they started out as friends and slowly he started dating and ended up with her. Rigby didn't chase girls he let life happen and it did. Rigby also never lets Eileen except for rare occasions take away his "power" and she knows it.
Rigby is almost always the one who convinces Mordecai to slack off. This is a one off episode where Mordecai is lazy of his own fault.
And with rigby that’s his character, mordecai is supposed to be a voice of reason, so it’s worse when he does it.
@@ragnaricstudios5888 right, I know.
I feel like the roles reversed later in the series
Ragnaric Studios
Mordecai is like Brian from Family Guy
They both want more from women
Abdulrahim Mala and rigby became Stewie, became the best character throughout seasons
Rigby's the one that introduced Mordecai to CJ, too. Honestly, I loved how Rigby stood up for himself at the end of this episode:
Mordecai: "You're just gonna hurt your back."
Rigby: "Not as much as when you stabbed it!"
Respect, Rigby, respect.
Edit: HOLY CRAP I know everyone says "ohh wow thanks for all da likes" when they get a buttload of likes, but THANKS this is the most likes I've ever gotten! To anyone who's reading this, I hope you have a day as beautiful as your face 😁💖

Rigby is one of the characters that has improved so much throughout the course of the show, he started as a loser in a dead end job and went on to get his highschool diploma and eventually have a huge family with Eileen
Bro everyone except for skips was a loser at the park. But they weren't losers they were bros
I like how Jay's treating the relationship between Mordecai and Rigby like it's something you'd see from Dr. Phil or whatever.

He did end up with her tho
I love on the wiki for Benson that one of his skills is getting drunk off wings
This episode, “lift with your back” is one of my favorites because Rigby is my favorite character in Regular show. He is super relatable to me, and funny. But this episode adds ALOT of character development, and by the end of the episode almost left me in tears no lie. And by the end of the show, Rigby was in my opinion the best character and most developed. Boom
Completely Agreed
I'm not trying to be rude, but the episode is called "Lift With Your Back" but yes, I do agree with your statement
Xander VanBecelaere Stop
Wuh? There are no rules to liking a character? You can like a character for their character, personality, relatability or even design? Everyone has different opinions and preferences.
I like how everybody is talking about Regular show in 2020, despite the fact it ended 3 years ago.

Makes me feel old
Nostalgia.
Cause it's a show to watch regularly
It's funny because I actually just finished it two weeks ago and now there's randomly all this content about it.
Other episodes can make us hate Mordecai, too, like more smarter, death punchies, and jinxed
Imagine being late to work and slacking off more than Rigby because you needed to help some short tempered cloud person
Game idea : take a shot everytime Mordecai is a simp or a liar or just an overall bad friend-
Hear lies a lot of people. Who died from the drinking game about mordecai.
Episode 1:
*I suffer an alcoholic coma*
You didn’t need to add liar or bad friend. We would of died from the simp one alone.

I hate Mordecai but love Rigby in this episode. Its the one of the early episodes that show how much Rigby has changed as a character.
Did you forget muscle mentor? I swear people have selective memory
I feel like Rigby has been slowly maturing throughout the series, whereas Mordecai has been staying the same or getting worse.
This isnt the first time mordecai has thrown rigby under the bus to save face.
Wall buddy
Graduation day
Its time
Mordecai and the rigbys (where he flipped out at everyone.)
Its apart of his personality to prioritise girls rather than his childhood friends for example.
Wall Buddy wasn't his fault. The mess was Rigby's alone. Mordecai shouldn't get in trouble for what Rigby did that had nothing to do with him. And then Rigby tried to toss his problems onto Mordecai by moving the mess HE made onto mordecai's side of the room. I hate that episode for trying to portray Mordecai as in the wrong
@@thehighestorder2868 yeah, these Rigby stans. There are tons of episodes where Rigby fcks things up and mordecai forgives him and even helps him solve the problems
@@thehighestorder2868 And then (keep in mind this is coming from someone who loves both despite acknowledging their flaws) despite calling out Mordecai throwing him under the bus when it was his damn fault, he tried to blame Mordecai at the end when Benson confronted them both over Rigby's attempt to get out of cleaning the room.
Weird fact: during mating season blue jays get aggressive and when it ends they get less aggressive except when protecting there children. So his character is on point
Nice!
That’s not being aggressive though, Simpicai was being a leech.
If he was aggressive like a blue jay, he would have shown envy & been direct, but also not necessarily used Rigby to get with CJ, a Blue jay that stuck the meaning of bird would have invited CJ to their work instead.
Mordicai clearly never heard of the term “bro’s before hoes”
Rigby never thought bros before player 1 in a video game
I can´t wait for that video, I love this cause I was so frustrated by these episodes and no one seemed to care
And this was the friendship Cartoon Network themselves said was better than Finn and Jake on Twitter.
You know, I used to believe Mordecai was always the better person between the two, but that was also when I was a growing teenager who probably would've done the same thing. Honestly, I'm glad I grew up from that, and I promise if I ever find someone like Rigby, I'd tell them to sock me in the jaw if I ever mistreat him/her
He was Usually The better person but oh God he has moments when he couldn't be worse
Mordecai isn't a growing teenager he's in his 20's
@Mildburner 567 den y u asking
Paul Ghencea nah not really, even in the beginning of the series its not that one was “worst” than the other. They were both just good and bad in different areas of life depending on the task. It’s like a yin yang thing and why rigby and mordecais dynamic work so well. Neither eas worse or better than the other, they equally cancel each other out
I really like Mordecai's character, but I cant stand him when he is after a girl, because he gets so selfish.
I love how everyone protect Rigby.
Because Rigby got character development, He's no longer a jerk and loser from the first few seasons. He is now a graduated, loving husband and father.
Y’all remember when this man pushed rigby out of car over a sweater
"The least he could have done was never accept any solids from him when it comes to CJ" But Alpha, he HAS to. Or reality will tear itself apart, dont you remember that episode?
Well you have to agree to the solid before hand. Mordecai agreed to do all 10 solids which is why reality was breaking apart because that was apart of the 10 solids
I like Mordecai, but Good Lord above when he hits a low point he HITS it. At his best, he’s a somewhat relatable character who struggled to maintain relationships. At his worst, he’s an ignorant jerk who has a simp complex.
Btw can we get a “This Episode Will Make You Hate Rigby” video? I nominate Playco Armboy. Or Death Punch.
Edit: O-K. The kind people in the comments have just informed me that neither of these episodes have Rigby acting like a jerk. Anyone have any suggestions?
Or the movie because rigby could have ruined mordecais life by changing the collage papers
death punch has so much different context when you have seen the series and see how mordecai really does make Rigby the punching bag for everyone, kind of weird to look back and see him as the petty whiney Rigby
InanimateSum Fair enough.
Elisa Castro True. I just wanna hear Jay’s opinion on an episode where Rigby is a horrible character .
Wall Buddy.
Video Game Wizard was bad too. Mordecai wanted a stupid video game controller so bad he asked Skips to be his partner in the tournament over his best friend who plays games with him everyday.
Didn't Mordecai realize his mistake and make amends there by asking Rigby to be his partner in the end?
Mordecai's character is at it's best when he isn't focused on relationships and is single.
Being in one just seems to mess his character up. As if he's not mature enough for one until the finale.
This is so wrong
Mordecai is the epitome of ‘if you’re gonna backstab everyone eventually you’ll backstab yourself’
Finally, someone actually reviewed this episode. This was one of my worst Regular Show episodes not only because of Mordecai’s actions but because of where it was placed on; it’s like watching season 1 or 2 Mordecai and Rigby again but Rigby has a full list of things he’s helped Mordecai out of and Mordecai just tears the whole thing to shreds.
Yeah it sort of switched Mordecai and Rigby's characters around, with Rigby being the mature, responsible one and Mordecai being the irresponsible one who uses people. This is the exact opposite of what their personalities were in the first season
It's okay. I've already hated Mordecai since I've watched the episode "Jinx."
Seriously, Mordecai punching Rigby every time Rigby spoke was just evil. 😡
13:11 the uncle grandpa series premiere timer deadass took me back to my childhood
That scene kinda pissed me off and I was like alright Mordecai your doing him dirty
I understand Mordecai's insecurities, but he ignores Rigby imo, at least occasionally.

Mordecai was my most favourite character back when I was young and I even shipped Morde and Margaret, even dissappointed that they weren't together at the finale. Only recent times that I realised Morde is a simp and it changed my perspective to him.
Mordei: it was the least you could do
Wasn’t it Rigb hook you up with CJ? When you were in a depressed state after being “dumped“ by Margaret, he signed you up on that dating site where you met her.
Yeah, first time watching this show, I liked Mordecai and disliked Rigby, but upon growing up and watching all of the show till the Finale, I relate to Rigby more and grew to dislike Mordecai a bit.
Modrecai is the very definition of SIMP
Rigby is the ultimate chad
Oversimplification. Mordecai was bad with women but could often find solutions with Rigby's problems (the episode with Don and how Rigby resented his brother) and despite Rigby's screw ups (sabotaged Mordecai's chances at college), Mordecai never stopped being friends with him. And before you bring up how he killed Rigby for something petty, don't forget that Skips did the very same thing, and like Skips, Mordecai fixed it in the end. As for Rigby, he developed a stable relationship with a girl, but again, was self destructive and would often cause problems for everyone. Both matured by the end of the show, just from different issues.
Isn’t rigby also the same person that forged a letter saying Mordecai didn’t get into his college and that’s essentially what got him into working for the park
Nah, He a simp for sure but Rigby ain't really that much of a chad
Kevin Vizcarra
Finally a mature take on the show
