Please how come you went straight to the fault, because I know valve,Capet valve and cam.can cause a gen to stiff

Yes you are right. The first place to detect is the recoil starter. Bolt might ran to the flywheel side or starter side to make it stiff.

You didn't show us how you shoke it... This generator naturally consumes fuel, is there a way to minimize that. I sold mine because of dis.
