This was one of those songs that made a huge splash when it was released and then disappeared as quickly as it came. I'm not sure why it didn't have the staying power of so many of the other big 90s country hits. And the girl who plays Bobbie in the video is a total smoke show.
I sure do miss the 70s, 80s and 90s. Sometimes I wish I could find a time machine and go back in time. Life was much easier and everyone enjoyed life! Is this your favorite song?
@@kylekullin2520 Tom petty is a different genre, and they are both good in their own right one was obviously more popular but tell me how many of your songs were ever played on thr radio...
OH GOD, yes! The so called class of 90 in country music. Brought back many memories for sure. I saw Mr. Trevino in concert on one his back road tours....it was awesome.
Woke up w this in my head randomly one day im36 but this was a banger when I was young... Always wanted to be Miss Bobby Anne Mason to some cat from school...
Loved this song so much when I was 5, I got up and sang it in the church one mornin at Sunday school 🤷♀️ 😬 Papaw thought it was hilarious...mamaw not so much! Whooops ⛪️ 🙏 🎻 🤠

Y'all remember line dancing? As a Mexican in a school located in the middle of a bunch of corn fields,I stuck out like a sore thumb. I had to learn to two step if I wanted to go to prom and country music turned me.
I will never forget when I heard this song for the first time. I was living in Japan at the time…and I grew up in Texas, and graduated in 1987. My mother named me Bob Ann. I hated that name. So I went by Bobbie. I didn’t know anyone that had a name like that. So when my husband and I heard this song. I was so embarrassed. Because the name was similar to mine. Even when I hear it today. My husband turns it up.
cnat believe im a country music fanatic especially 90s country and im just hearing him for the first time today i was born in 94 btw im 29 bout to be 30
I remember hearing songs from Rick. Back in the Summer of 95 I was upstairs in my room and I saw the video on CMT. I miss hearing from Rick. What happened? Ricardo is his real name. His parents would've named him "Rick" because Everybody calls him "Rick".
When I was very first saw this video I had hoped there at the end that she would have been in the audience when he was performing and they would have gotten together after all

I love this song. It reminds of this girl I liked in grade 11 math class ( the first girl I ever liked ) I told how I felt and she gave me mixed signals then she told the whole school I was a stalker. But hey at least I’ve got my guitar and song book to write about her
We need more of this on the radio love Rick Trevino

90's Country just hits different. Such a "good times" vibe. We have lost that...

You're not wrong. 90s Country music is as good as it gets. Not that there isn't good stuff out, but man it was hit after hit.

"I'm a Gen 'Z' listing to Bobby and Mason in 2024. I wish I was born in this this generation 🙏💖. Country music back then seems different
The world was much cooler back then. I was a little kid during this era but trust me, way cooler.
Definitely better country music than this country-pop they playing now
90s were just different. Nothing will ever compare
The 80’s and 90’s are a generation that a lot of ppl missed out on
I am a Gen X 74. This was my country youth genre back in the day. It was the best generation of country music that I was growing up into.
This song was the first song my lil sis could sing word for word at 4yrs old and now that she's gone it always makes me smile and think of her 💙💙💙💙
My condolences
Prayers for you, but glad you have the memories
So very sorry for your loss. ❤️😪
I understand. Lost my mom to violence. listening to 80s/90s country is the only way to visit her now. Good vibes and energy to you.
Same with my sister too! She died at 14 and I was 22. She was like my own child. This is definitely bittersweet! Much love to you!
Ahh the 90's back when I was back in High School!
I was too. I graduated in 1994. Great song back in the day.
We are the coolest generation.
@@jamessanders8895 Right on!

I saw him at a fair in Oklahoma back in 1995 he was the act before Asleep at the Wheel. Was cool .
Loved Rick's baby face. Passed a high school kid easy.
I think we’ve all had a “Bobby Ann Mason” in high school....
Mine was back in jr. High 1993 and he's still it going on :-) I'm now the lucky one to be married to him
Yup
Yes. Sharla.
Her name was Aleta.
N most of them turn out to be epic failures later on in life. Sad state of events .
I have been with my Tasha for 10 years she is my Bobbie Ann Mason
Back when Nashville produced good quality music. Not anymore.
This is MUCH better than the crap they call country music now days!!!!!

The kind of 90s Country that can best be described as Velveeta--straight from the block and cheesy, but still really good.
And it packed the dance floors at all the bars.....

He has a bit of a Clay Walker vibe. Keep in mind too that Ricardo Treviño was only 24 when this song came out hence why he looks so young.
