The Tea Dance Revisited Series goal is to take timeless dance classics from the late 1980s to mid 2000s from the house & disco genres known as Tea Dance, and reintroduce these classics to a new generation. Work from the source tapes or stems, the tracks have been brought up to current sonic standards. Slight remixing is done to the Original Mix to present the best of the original mix while allowing it to blend seamlessly with today’s music. And in some cases, additional modern mixes will accompany the classic presenting the best of both worlds.
The first in the series is "When You Touch Me" by Freemasons ft. Katherine Ellis. A worldwide #1 hit in over 12 countries including a Billboard #1 Dance Hit, this was only one of a slew of #1 World Wide dance floor hits including “Tears” and “Cold Light of Day” that had the Freemasons and Ellis touring for years and performing live on TV shows like Graham Norton on BBC, Top of The Pops and the TMF Awards in Antwerp. They also lit up festivals and clubs around the world including Glastonbury, London Pride, Dyagilev in Russia as well as myriad private events and restaurant openings. On top of all this, Katherine’s voice also appears in movies Evita, The Lawnmower man, and What A Girl Wants, and TV adverts for international companies including McDonalds, KFC and Gaviscon (What a Feelin’).
