The wake should have been on a diff date……..have a conversation to find a balance where they are both supporting each other either way

In Caribbean culture we have a nine night which is like a wake but must take place on the 9th night after the death as our tradition states the spirit passes on to the after life on the 9th day. Hence no one can change that date as many believe it will disturb the spirit meaning it won’t pass over. As the man or his mother is not from the Caribbean I guess he could have changed it 😂 but the wife is definitely insensitive for the way she is phrasing it 🤣

Why couldn’t the wake and the party be on two different days?

Because the guy would have to convince his siblings and other family members to move the wake/funeral.

She was wrong.. its crazy enough that she didn’t attend the wake to support her husband but the fact that she took the kids to the party is 🤯. Yes party should have gone on but at least the kids should have gone to their grandmothers wake.
