Every time I listen to this Man of God i get touched
You know! A lot of us are ready to toss a man/woman of God overboard the moment they stumble or fall. I used to watch Bro Swaggart religiously every night when I came back from Sun eve services. Loved it when John Starnes would sing those anointed songs. It was just awesome. And then that night of confession, just rocked my world and I felt I couldn’t look at unbeliever in the eyes for a long time. The media had a Field day and some pastors as well joined the pile on, if you will! Well years later a much more maturity in Christ, I came to understand 3 things:
1. The callings and elections of God are without repentance. Bro Swaggarts temporary fall may have cost him in terms of ministry, finances and reputation, but his calling to preach the gospel was NOT taken off the table. It just went to plan B. A lot of us are on the Lords Plan B.
2. Never measure yourselves amongst yourselves. One of the biggest and saddest things that happened in much of the Body of Christ, was the attitude of “Look what happened to him”, when the attitude should’ve been, “There by the grace of God go I”. And I experienced that personally in my walk years later!
3- lastly, the Lord taught me to look to him not man. I was shook by his act because I was looking at him instead of looking at Jesus. And now that I know this, I’m not wrecked or ruined by another believers transgressions or fall. Instead I try to hold that person up in prayer and pray that he/she will take hold of the fact that they are NOT under condemnation because they are in Christ Jesus.
Watching this man, by the grace of God, emerge from the ashes and heap of a transgression is testimony NOT to who he is, but who God is:
“FOR I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU”
Indeed like king David after he yielded to temptation n failed yet repented, he was forgiven n out of his repentance he bore a son king Solomon which built the temple of God n brought the Israel to the height of glory during his days of reign.
Indeed we are all sinners saved by grace yet we are to yield thru the grace of God in Christ Jesus by the power of the Spirit unto fruits of righteousness to the glory of God.
May the Lord grants our bro Jimmy the keeping grace to continue steadfastly testify for the the Lord of His great love n that His mercy fails not till we meet Him.
I agree whole heartedly with you!!! I find the fact that Brother Swaggart confessed infront of ALL gave me a great respect for him! It showed me he truly repented of his sin. Preachers are just as suseptable to temptation as anyone else! NO ONE walked perfect here on this earth except Jesus Christ.

I respect Mr. Swaggart, always have. He is a good Minister, a man of God. I never lost any respect for him , even though he sinned. I have sinned just as bad(maybe worse), God forgive all of us sinners,try to be better. Swaggart is a great and powerful minister, Amen.

The presence of The Lord is so thick and heavy in this church that it comes through the tv into homes and miracles are happening in their prayer group on Facebook. Very sad that you’ve spent so much time making a list of what you perceive as Jimmy’s flaws. That time would have been better spent worshipping The Lord. Praying for you brother.

Exo 20:7 “You do not bring1 the Name of יהוה your Elohim to naught, for יהוה does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught.
The Hebrew for "naught" is to "shava", which mean to bring to nothingness.
By not using His Sacred Name, you bring His Name to naught.
The Language of the Scripture was Hebrew. The Messiah was a Hebrew.
The Father's Name is not "Lord" and the Messiah's Name is not "Jesus".
When you praise the Father you say Hallel;uYAH!!!, not hallelulord nor hallelujesus.

I am 68 and was blessed enough to watch Bro. Swaggart broadcasts on Sunday mornings.It was during a bad time in my life but God got my attention through Bro. Swaggart.He was and still is one of the most powerful preachers i have ever heard. Many criticize him but the Lord does not only forgive the sheep he also forgives the Shepard .God gave me a verse concerning Bro. Swaggart "He who is without sin cast the first stone" praise God.
I'm only 61 years old you confirm the previous statement I was saved as a result of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and many prayers of my family praise the name of Jesus
At the end of the age surely. Everything is falling apart. Evil is taking over completely. A very dark storm. Can't be long now.

Everything shall be shaken. Only that which are of God will be standing in the end. Looks like we are coming to
the closing of this age very soon. (Hebrews 12:26-27)
Hell will be unleashed on earth for a short time just before the age is ended by God. Looks like we are fast coming to that end scenario.

@Light Being Hi Robert, I hear what you say, and I understand that in your eyes as Christian to be wisdom.
But here is the thing, our Father does not accept half measures:
Rev 3:15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 “So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth.
Why do I say this and refer to the above verse? Because Christianity does not obey the Word of the Father Yahuah. Our Father says:
Joh 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not judged, but he who does not believe is judged already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only brought-forth Son of Elohim.
For being a Chrisitan, you break the 3rd command By not using the Sacred Name of the Father and Son. Yahusha Messiah says this about His Name:
Rev 3:8 “I know your works - see, I have set before you an open door, and no one is able to shut it - that you have little power, yet have guarded My Word, and have not denied My Name.
He says, if you DO NOT DENY HIS NAME, He will keep the door open. But Christianity denies His Sacred Name.
Because you do not keep the Sabbath, you have no covenant with Yahuah, the result you do not receive the Redemption. Christians don’t keep the Redemption plan, they don’t even know what it is. Because the church threw it out of their teaching and replaced it with their own sacraments.
SO it does not matter if I read all about Jimmy. Many Christians are wonderful people, but wonderful people are not going to heaven, obedient people are going to heaven. Obedience to Torah give you the right to enter into the Kingdom of Yahuah.
Rev 22:14 “Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.
@Prophetic Utterance's Yahusha not Elohim?
Before I get into the discussion whether Our Messiah is Elohim(Mighty One/God). First I want to point out the Messiah, the Son of Elohim Yahuah, His Name is not Jesus. He is a Hebrew with as Hebrew Name and was King of the Jews/Yahudim.
Mat 27:37 And they put up over His head the written charge against Him: THIS IS יהושע, THE SOVEREIGN OF THE YAHUḎIM.
The Father is the Elohim of the Hebrews, also His Name is not Lord or God.
Exo 5:3 And they said, “The Elohim of the Heḇrews has met with us.
On to the point you brought up. You have given a whole lot of verses, and I agree with all Scripture you have given. But none of those verses says that Yahusha is not Elohim. I prefer to use Elohim over God because Christianity often uses “God” as His Name.
Your verses does say all the things what Yahusha did or did come to do. That He is the Son. But here is the problem. Yahusha made it clear He and the Father are ONE!
Joh 10:30 “I and My Father are one.”
Yahuah said that in the 1st Covenant as well:
Deu 6:4 “Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
It is very clear that it says “יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!”
Now if we look at the following, it says our Redeemer Yahuah:
Isa 47:4 Our Redeemer, יהוה of hosts is His Name, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl.
Our Messiah has the same Name as the Father because they are ONE! When our Messiah came to earth, He came to save. And His Name became “Yahuah saves”, which is “Yahusha” in Hebrew.
That is why when we praise Him we say HalleluYAH!!!! Praising the Father and Son because they are one. If I served 2 gods like the Christian who serves Lord and Jesus. 2 names for 2 gods, oops… I forgot they also have the Holy Spirit as a god. Then it would have to be Hallelulord/hallelujesus and halleluholyspirit.
Our Messiah was clear He and the Father are one:
Mar 12:29 And יהושע answered him, “The first of all the commands is, ‘Hear, O Yisra’ĕl, יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one.
Mar 12:30 ‘And you shall love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first command.
The Father also made it clear that His Son is not an angel but above all created beings:
Heb 1:2 has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all, through whom also He made the ages,
Yahusha is the EXACT REPRESENTATION OF THE Father:
Heb 1:3 who being the brightness of the esteem and the exact representation of His substance, and sustaining all by the word of His power, having made a cleansing of our sins through Himself, sat down at the right hand of the Greatness on high,
Let all the angels do reverence to Him(Yahusha). Who do we made reverence to? Each other? Or to Elohim?
Heb 1:6 And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, “Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.”
And here the Father says “Your throne, O Elohim, is forever”. Does that not mean Yahusha is Elohim?
Heb 1:8 But to the Son He says, “Your throne, O Elohim, is forever and ever, a sceptre of straightness is the sceptre of Your reign.
Yahusha was the Creator!
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with Elohim.
Joh 1:3 All came to be through Him, and without Him not even one
And do not forget the following, you can not be saved if you don’t believe in the Name of the brought forth Son.
You must believe in the Name of the Son to be saved. Is He not Elohim then? Yes He is and He has the same Name as the Father. Because there is only one Name by which we can be saved.
Joh 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not judged, but he who does not believe is judged already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only brought-forth Son of Elohim.
There is only One Name:
Act 4:12 “And there is no deliverance in anyone else, for there is no other Name under the heaven given among men by which we need to be saved.”
And that Name is Yahuah that saves which is Yahusha in Hebrew.

Man will not teach each other anymore, because they will know Yahusha:

And Yahuah gave the answer to this problem, Yahusha our Messiah will be our Teacher:

Isa 30:21 and your ears hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the Way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right, or whenever you turn to the left.

Joe 2:23 And you children of Tsiyon, be glad and rejoice in יהוה your Elohim, for He shall give you the Teacher of Righteousness, and cause the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain, as before.

What did the Hebrew Messiah of the Bible do?
HE called the Father by His Sacred Hebrew Name Yahuah(יהוה), He Himself was called Yahusha(יהושע). He kept the 7th day Sabbath, He celebrated the Scriptural feasts found in Lev 23. He ate kosher, was circumcised, wore Tzitzits etc.
Does the Christian do any of these things? NO! They do the opposite!
They call the father "Lord" which means "Ba'al" in Hebrew. Jesus is a Greek name and not the name of the Hebrew Messiah. They go to church on Sunday, eat unclean foods is uncircumcised and celebrate the pagan feasts of Christmas, Easter, Halloween, lent, ash Wednesday etc.
Scripture says you are the servant of whom you serve:

Remember Jesus was baptize by John, to show us this is way it must be done to received him. God wrath is only to the one who won't obey the Gospel. If we go some other way beside the Door, Jesus Christ, we are a robber and you won't follow the instructions which is the Holy Scriptures how to stay on the One Way of Holiness. I have a Teacher who was sent by God to teach me how to live Holy and explained the word and answered through God Word(Scriptures), rightly dividing the Word of God. It Essential for you to ask questions to your Pastor and he should show you in God Word to make it clear. I know Jesus was on the Cross to bring redemption to a dying world, but he did not stop there. Jesus want us to hear all the apostles and divide his word to know what he required of us to do to be saved. Jesus came down from the cross and raised again so we can learn of him. He has a purpose in what He does for us to followed. Don't be deceived by no one. Check it out or be curious enough to be sure of your salvation. I loved you and God people. We can't judge no one before their time. I will see your fruits and you will see minds. But remember if you sin, you have Advocate which is Jesus to be Godly sorry, not Sorry and Repent of your sins.
