Note: some may have the opinion that the evil eye is very common and may quote a particular Hadith that the majority of the ummah dies of ayn. This Hadith has been noted by some scholars of hadith that in its chain of narration is ‘weakness’, such as sheikh Al-Adawi and others. Also, to say it is common needs a measure by which we can definitely measure it. We have theories and views, but not a definite ata ward of measure. Allah knows best.
اللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُم مِّنَ النُّورِ إِلَى الظُّلُمَاتِ ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

The increased incidence of evil eye, envy, and witchcraft due to the captivity of the end of time. Faith diminished and the devils became stronger over them. The person turned from a luminous energy by following God and the Sunnah of a prophet to a dark energy controlled by Satan.
Assalamu alaikum
We know the cure for hasad/Ayn/Sickness/Sihr Is Ruqya (to recite over ones self). If one goes and gets it done from a person and is NOT cured can they still be from the 70,000 who will enter jannah without account. Is it one of those matters if one refrains from getting it done again, can they be forgiven for it or are they exclude for ever. One again the person was not cured but needed to continue regularly on themselves. They went out of necessity and fear not because they believe that the raqi is more powerful or more capable then them. They did not know what was wrong and sort to get a diagnosis on what it may be as it had been a prolonged thing. So will the person still be from those who will not enter jannah without account even where they are still baring it.
Oh Allah, bless our scholars and leaders who are striving to establish Islam in this world on the balanced path of Your beloved Prophet.

Evil eye is real. But unfortunately, there are a lot of people in the world today, who don't practice the deen and commit major sin, and when the consequences of this major error hits them, they blame the evil eye

What proof do you have that it’s rare when people are affected from it everyday? Why do we have to say Allahuma Barik and MashaAllah when we see something that amazes us?

Walikum as Salam Sheikh. I have always believed in getting protection from Allah and I chuckle each time I hear people mentioning how they get jinxed for little things. And for some muslims its a thing they indirectly feel like they've more of beauty, wealth or anything because they get the evil eye a lot (so they brag about it) evil eye is real not denying it.
Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A great many from my nation who die, after the judgment, decree, and providence of Allah, die by the evil eye.”

I was always the best or among the best in school, i had my good iman ma sha Allah, then one day i started to have constant very bad headaches, i developed terrible anxiety, any time i tried to study it was like the information bounced off my brain, i couldnt see the notes properly, i went from best to worst, my dreams died i lived in depression and even my iman went away, i lived just to survive. That happened 13yrs ago when i was 14, now im almost 27 and have a job but still struggle with everything, i feel like things got worse and not better, i have tried to do self ruqya but im never consistent, i cant fulfill my potential to the best i can. I feel nothing, im numb and i feel distant from Allah 😢, im disconnected from reality i dont understand what is going on in my life, i feel like an observer of my life. Im tired but im powerless, im not even making dua like i should i just dont know. But i believe in Allah and i know He loves me and he knows best 😭
You need to make dua and have patience to stay on the right path.
Another thing I think you have to seek what's wrong with you and seek help of people of knowledge or in internet.
I'm going through the same more less and I'm doing ruqya that consists in picking up some water bottles, open them and read:
Surah Fatiha 3x(blow on the water after each time)
Ayatul Kursi 3x (blow on the water after each time)
Two last ayahs of Surah Baqarah 3x(blow on the water after each time)
Surah Ikhlas, Falaq, and An-nas in one go and blow.(Repeat 3x)
You only drink from that water( if you want to drink something else like juice no problem but water only from that one). If you drink all the water repeat until you are completely fine. And ask Allah's help, and His forgiveness, and stay away from sins.
And Allah knows best, I noticed that I'm getting better because I am doing it myself.

im ethnic pKstani living in US n live a simple life not much showing off wheneva i go back home. So complains of my relatives is that i am living poor life and that enjoy my wealth n prosperity by traveling the globe and buying big house/own cars. Basically, they compare me to the 'socalled' rich of their 'materialistic world' in PK. The actual Real rich folks dont really need to flex.. Even if one looks at silicon valley billionaires, ie: zuckerbergs.. .do they walk around in 3piece suits or hoodies n sweatypants.. sadly backhome folks think if we r not flexing, we are living poor unhappy life... may Allah protect us from materialistic people n help us understand that real wealth is the contenment of the HEART as prophet said in a hadith. Lets work on inner self, the purification of heart n not be too flashy in our lives. Don't live life according to terms of other people/trends rather be moderate n live simple lives n be grateful with whateva, Allah blessed us. Jzk

Today i came across with friend and discussed with him same issue, he said half of Pakistan is victom of magic and half of Pakistan is engaged in doing magic whats this... Evil eye and magic is assumed by every second individual like anything happens to him he assumed that someone has done magic or someone has evil eye so on and so forth. And there are people we called themselves religious claim like they calculate and tell you that someone has done magic on you and they state long wazaief like in beginning 3 times Darood e Ibrahimi then Sura E Yasin 1 time and 1 time Manzil, 11 times Sura E Fateha, 11 times Ayat ul Qursi, 11 times last 3 Quls (Sura e Ikhlas, falak and Nas) and 3 times Darood E Ibrahimi. Second Wazeefa is 11 Times Darood Ibrahimi then 111 times Sura E Taha Ayat no 68 and 69 then 11 times Darood E Ibrahimi. Dam it on water and sprinkle it in all corners of your house daily and drink same water.

Sheikh has already answered it. Evil eye is real but rare. Why do mostly people in villages have these believes? because they are mentaly weak and believe in superstition.
Your friend is right black magic has spread throught out pakistan like wild fire. A lot of people there are involved in it and pay to have it done to harm their own family members. Best to stay away from there..
