That new custom TR-3, MAN..... what an exquisite variation of an already incredible knife!!!! That coloring on the scales with the brass on the edges is such an EFFIN Rad look!!!!
Thank you GPKnives and Pro-tech. I couldn't believe the milling on the Rockeye wasn't some kind of adhesive insert. I'm blown away at the texture. Looks great, I'm sold! Now, if Protech could just pump out more non-custom TR-3's with fishscales!
I have the bronze rockeye.. it turned brown within 2 days of me handling it.. idk how his looks gold after weeks of carrying it.. but I cleaned mine and it's shiny again gonna put some anti tarnish solution on it hopefully keep it from going full brown... also I like the bronze version has nice weight to it.. I think the aluminum versions feel cheap.. the bronze reminds me of the full titanium VECP by Les George.
Just ordered my full-size Rockeye auto today and I'm pumped I've been trying to get one for so long, now if the Mordax and the Strider SNG would just become more available so I can finally get them I'll be a very happy Man
Amen to the SNG. I got a notification from BHQ that the SNG was back in stock and they were sold out in minutes. I want a Strider - Pro-Tech SNG in the worst way but it's like trying to find a Hinderer XM-18... good luck. Just ordered a PT+ though: 3.25" blade so it'll hold me over until I can score an SNG.
The TR-4 has a 4" blade, slightly different handle profile. I got lucky and scored a TR-3 last year, it's an outstanding knife (as are all Pro-Techs). Just ordered my third knife from them: A Strider+Pro-Tech PT+, blue chassis with a magnacut blade.
