Ms. Lori, when you squeeze a lemon with the yellow metal lemon squeezer, try putting the cut side of the lemon down against the holes, then squeeze. It seems like it's wrong, since it goes against the shape of the squeezer, but give it a try. Love your videos sooo much!
Looks absolutely delicious, Ms Loriđđ
I make my recipe by peeling 6 lemons and adding sugar to the peels. After a whole day in the fridge, I end up with all that sugar filled with the delicious lemon oils. I boil 5 cups of water, turn the heat off, add the sugar oil mixture, and let it sit for 5 minutes. In the meantime, I juice the 6 lemons I had peeled, add the juice to the pot, and that is my recipe. It turns out absolutely delicious!
Looks delicious, save that pucker for when Mr. Brown comes back, and he has a glass. Why waste a kiss. đâ€ïž
Your voice is like a sound bath for my soul. đ Can't wait to try this!
I feel the same way!! Ms.Lorie's voice is so calming. She could make millions making relaxation Cds...she really could!
If you put your lemons in the microwave for a few seconds it gets the juices flowing really well and it's much easier to use a regular juicer like yours
Oh miss Lori this is so good. I can remember my MOM making homemade Lemonade in her big white fire stone pitcher every night for dinner. I now have her pitcher as she is no longer with us . But the memories I have of her will always be with me. I Love the Lord with all my heart as I'm a born again Christian. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed Sunday and Stay Safe my dear Friend. đđđđđđđ
My grandmother would make ice cubes out of lemonade with a cherry inside and put those in her lemonade so as they melted your lemonade didn't get diluted and it was so pretty!!
If your daughter is anything like mine they âloveâ most everything momma makes!!!đđâ€ïžđđ»
On a hot summer day......a cold glass of lemonade...... doesn't get much better that that!
OAG
I love watching you two dancing!
GOD'S BLESSINGS AND FAVOR TO YOU!!
I love using my old glass juicer. Just using it makes me feel like the juice tastes better. Thanks for this awesome recipe!
I'm on the hunt for one at the Goodwill lol
I love mine for the same reasonđ„°
Yes please,,,,, summer time drinksđđđđđ
Looks sooo good! Little tip if anyone's interested if u peel the yellow off with a peeler and simmer them in ur water for a few minutes then remove and add ur sugar and cook til clear. U can use a few less lemons or even add another cup or 2 of water and it goes alot farther and is very delicious also! Just make sure to not get the white of the rind.
Here in Az. Lemons are expensive. Their cheaper at .99 only and $1.00 stores if their available.
Fresh squeezed lemonade is just this side of Heaven⊠on a hot summer day thereâs nothing better!!!!!!
Thank you for a great recipe! I am looking forward to the strawberry lemonade. My little granddaughters will love it!
I just made this recipe and I poured my daughter a glass, she said âthis tastes like the fairâ ITâS SO GOOD! Ty for another great recipe.
Good Morning!
đ Miss Loriđ
I add a little fresh hand crushed mint in the pitcher.
For the yellow squeeze juicer, put the cut side of the lemon down. That's how they work. Keeps seeds out, too.
Exactly you kind of flips the peeling inside out
I was just going to say the same thing.
Yep upside down. I have one for lemons and a smaller one for limes. Best way to get every last drop of juice in a quick second.
Maybe thatâs why I broke my lime one. I thought I just squeezed too hard or my lime was too big. Are they ceramic?
@@jhwilliams6550 I think you can get lemon ones that are ceramic and lime ones that are ceramic or you can buy metal ones
i am 70 and I can remember my Grandma making homemade Root Beer. And All the sugar poured in and root beer Extract then before you put it in the fridge she set the bottles on the counter put a dishtowel over them to Ferment..i forgot. The Yeast. đđđ
I am a black woman and have been trying to figure out how to make lemon juice thatâs as good as my moms and yours.I love your recipes. They are just like my moms. The Lord bought me to your channel. Thank you for what you do. You have been a blessing to me.
Thank you, I'm Blessed to have you here with us. Xoxoxo
I feel the exact same way Maxine. I know that God put Ms. Lori and Mr. Brown in my life for a reason. I can't imagine my life without them now.
My grandma used to put a bowl of fresh lemonade in the freezer & stir it every 30 minutes until it turned into slush! Then sheâd scoop it into bowls for us. Best cold treat ever!
Yum
After juicing citrus fruits the same way you do, Ms Lori, I throw the rinds into the freezer and some in my fridge; they naturally deodorize and refresh wherever they land. Sometimes I'll grate the outside and save in my freezer, tightly wrapped, for future baking recipes. Once the fruit harden, they'll take on the smells that they absorbed, so I'll just discard them. I'm an apartment renter so there's no compost allowed.
I freeze the rinds and add one to my chicken soup. Youâd never know it was in there but boy does it enhance the flavor
What wonderful ideas! I forgot all about using the lemon rhines to deodorize the fridge. Thanks!!!!!đ
@@janeymay50 it sure does...đđș
ADDED A PINCH đ€ OF REDMOND REAL
SEA-SALT & IT WAS VERY DELICIOUS đ
THANK YOU LORI FOR SHARING â„ïžđ
I'll be watching for the strawberry lemon aid
My mom used to make several combinations of citrus drinks. She would make orangeade, lemon-limeade. We loved them all. I have been making some just like my mom used too. My children love it.
I would love to be your neighbor!
Miss Lori for the metal squeezer put the lemon cut side down. It looks wrong but itâs right! Thanks for the recipe.
Yes! I kept going back to see how she put it in. I used to do it wrong too then I saw someone on tv and I was oh, that makes so much more sense.
đđ
Hello from KY love you and your channel.Ms Lori I make this and it is delicious.I am the only one that drinks it.So I pour it into empty ice trays freeze then turn out into freezer bag. Then I use a few of the cubes in my glass instead of ice and it is just wonderful.stay safeđđđđđđđ
If you use the metal lemon squeezer, turn the lemon over in the cup of it (cut side down). It looks wrong, but it's not. The juice then comes out of the holes in the bottom when you squeeze. I'm looking forward to your strawberry lemonade recipe, too. Have you ever made lemonade with grape juice in it? I'm trying to guess what the proportions would be.
I tried it and it just seems to make more of a mess so I use it like she does. :)
Me, too. Strawberry recipe.
I love homemade lemonade. I make a lot. It never goes to waste. We'll drink it all.
I did buy Country Time Pink Lemonade powder today. Yum.
There's nothing like a cold glass of homemade lemonade! That sure did look good!
It looks so refreshing on a hot day mrs. Laurie canât Waite for the strawberry đ lemonade Iâll be looking forward to that video
I just want to say my daughter gave birth to my first grandson itâs her first
Thanks this is great idea. Now i am on my way to Walmart for lemons. And sugar đđđđ
I loved this recipe, please do MORE pretty please. Especially the strawberry lemonade one. Do every drink you know...haaahaaa! I love these homemade drinks. Thank you. God bless you.đđđđđđ
Summertime lemonade is the best. Especially when it's homemade. Thank you Mrs Lori. â€
I'd like to get cookbooks. How do I order?
So refreshing
Thereâs nothing better than a glass of REAL lemonade!! đ
the best part about going to the fair was getting the fresh squeezed lemonade.
At the end of the day, you are my calm....I wish everyone could be as sweet as you and Mr. Brownâ€ïž
Mrs. Lori that looks delicious. We make lime aide with key limes. So refreshing.
Miss Lori, I love your videos. Today I noticed the bright yellow metal juicer you have. You are supposed to cut your lemon in half then place cut side down so the juice runs out of the holes. I know it seems wrong but its not. When the juicer is squeezed against the lemon half it turns it inside out. Keep making your videos and tell Mr. Brown hi.
I can't wait to see more summer drink recipes!!! I love lemonade, now I have the exact measurements of liquids. Thank you Miss Lori â€
Have I got lemons! Think I'll make up a batch of this for the kids (and use some of the rinds to clean my microwave and coffee pot. The weather's turned warm and humid here and things tend to take on a musty smell unless we keep on top of it. Lemon rinds work like a champ for that) I wish I had Mama's Mixmaster with the citrus reamer attachment right about now. I'm off to make some simple syrup and impress the kids :) Thanks, Ms. Lori
Nothing better than fresh squeezed lemonade on a hot summer day (except maybe a big cold glass of sweet tea!)
Thanks everybody for all the great tips and thank you Miss Lori for another awesome recipe! đ
Yum. I love lemonade. I would for you to share more summer drinks. Some different flavored lemonades and maybe tea with fruit juices or with herbs of some kind. Hadn't seen that you cut your hair. I am loving the short hair, so flattering. And also, please don't take offense, but it makes you look younger. So cute and flattering.
Oh how I could drink an ice cold glass of lemonade right now!! I've been outside push mowing an weeding green beans! Can't wait to try this!!
Hard working lady!
Iâve made violet simple syrup and honeysuckle simple syrup and then added some lemon juice. OMG itâs soooo good. And when you add the lemon to the violet syrup, itâs blue in color from the flowers, as soon as the lemon hits the blue syrup it changes to this beautiful pinkish purple color!! My mouth is watering!!
Fresh made lemonade is one of the things I enjoy most about going to any type of state fair, amusement park or festival. I'm already looking forward to seeing your flavored lemonade recipes.
Just the right time of the year to enjoy lemonade!! Be well.
I recently bought a Cuisinart CCJ-500 on Amazon for 29.99 free shipping. Itâs awesome.
Looks good. I havenât been on You Tube for awhile. I love your new hairdo.
I remember my Grandmother making fresh lemonade. You are right. There is nothing better.
YummyâŠ.Thanks Lori
And yes, Iâm guilty of using the Country Time, but I WILL make that, maybe add some strawberries.
LOVE your recipes.
your family is blessed to have a cook like you....đ»đ»đ»đ»đŽđŒđŒđŒ
Itâs surprising how many people donât know how to make real lemonade or stove top popcorn anymore.
Summertime Lemonade, Yummm! I like making sun tea this time of year đ
In the past, I've always just mixed the sugar into the Lemon Juice & Water. Thanks for showing the "Simple Syrup"...the easier way to make Lemonade. Blessings! .......Rob.......
Ha ha Mr. And mrs. Brown made a move how nice very cute
Lemonade đđ is my fav!! Thank you wonderful for sharing l! God bless â€ïž
Fresh squeezed lemonade is not only the best tasting, most refreshing drink of Summer, it brings back so many memories of Summers gone by. My mom used to make her largest Tupperware container full for family gatherings. She usually wouldn't buy or want to squeeze THAT many lemons,..she would make it half full of fresh then the remainder she would mix in some County Time! She said it still tasted better than the plain Country Time most of them drank.đ She floated the lemon pieces on top too! đXOđ
You have the prettiest kitchen and glassware I've ever seen.
I recently discovered your videos and I love them so much. I recently moved from Ohio to Virginia to be close to family and I live in a city now on the beach. Completely different. Your videos bring me so much joy because I come from farmers and used to live in the woods. It's like going home for a visit. I appreciate you both so much. I send my love to you and your family.
Hi there Miss Lori and Mr Brown, I have only recently seen your videos on CZcams and I love them. I'm going back through all you older videos to catch up. Please keep making them as they warm my heart and make me smile. Keep well and be safe. David Brown, London England.
Thank you David!
I'm 70 and have the same problem with my hands so I use ReaLemon juice and organic sugar and just stir it well! My grandsons love it!
Looks fantastic just like everything you and Mr.Brown make! I really enjoy all your hard work and recipes. Nice to hear you both got a chance to relax with family over memorial weekend. Remember we love you all and want around for a long time.
Thank you Cora!
You have got a life thatâs wonderful, I have always wanted to live of the earth, but being in a wheelchair itâs not going to happen, I love your videos, I have made lots of your cakes and biscuits with my grandchildren who are 6 and 8 thank you, love from us over in the UK XXX
Your hair is always so cute!
Thanks Mrs.Lori! Love homemade lemonade đ .. you have the prettiest bowls and measuring cups
Love all you do! Have a great weekend
You look so cute in that picture with the glass of lemonade. Love your hair. Lemonade, the real lemonade, is a true summertime treat. Thanks for sharing that recipe.
What a memory jog. The fairs here in Georgia always have fresh lemonade somewhere prominent, easy to spot by the line of thirsty folks. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Be well and at peace.
I remember grandma making her home squeezed lemonade. She would often slice an orange and float the slices in the lemonade.
Wow Lori! You look so young and beautiful with that haircut. I'm so jealous đ€ I love that Lemonade too!
Growing up we had 2 Meyer lemon trees that produced so much fruit! My mom made lemonade every day in the summer. She made it with a simple syrup and filled the pitcher with ice a lemon slices. This video brought back such wonderful memories!
Thanks so much, Lori! I am going to a church outing and it has been totally hot and humid here like it's August! We were asked to bring drinks for ourselves AND others. What a treat!
Good evening blessings to you and your family ,
You two are just to cute. GOD bless you.
I have an old cast iron stand juicer that I bought from a yard sale when the local drive in went out of business. It sits on my counter ready for anytime I need lemon squeezed!đ
Awesome!
@@WhippoorwillHoller I lost your receipt. For homemade bread, please repeat it some time, I loved that bread.
Looking forward to the strawberry lemonade video. Fresh squeezed lemonade is fantastic! I love mixing it half and half with sweet tea.
Yep! I grew up on Country Time lemonade, too. But you are so right, homemade is the absolute best!
Fresh squeezed lemonade I'm going to try it thanks for sharing. it looking forward to the strawberry lemonade God bless you both
Mmm! Fresh homemade lemonade is one of the best summer drinks and one of our favorites. Thank you for the tip on how to get sugar to dissolve quickly and better incorporated into the lemonade. My mouth is watering.
Sometimes, the best is simple! I make my own lemonade, too. Your recipe does look delish. I'll give it a try, friend!
its so wonderful when you have had a precious granny....i did too....she used too much salt,,but she fried wings alot in lard,,back when wings were cheap....and she cooked the bedt,i mean best,,fried fish too....her birthday was july 3,,so we always all met on granddadies country land,,he and others caught lot of big bass,,had lakes om property,,and they had built a little block cabin, had a sqeaky handpump outside,,would use a metal dipper for a drink,,granny would either cook over open fire or on her woodstove....wish land was still in family....i would love to hear more stories about you and mr browns granparents...and see some pictures if you got some...
When I make enchiladas, I always make homemade Cherry Limeade to go with it. Juicing a bunch of limes gets tough for me. Until I get an electric juicer, I have to resort to buying the lime juice in a bottle.
Your haircut looks so pretty !
My favorite intro!!! Canât wait for the dance!!! Love yaw!!!đđ
Hey Mrs Laurie..
So I was the chef at a private school here in VA.
My girls loved the Fresh waters I made them every day.
Sometimes I would throw a few oranges or Limes in with the Fresh lemons.
Even some fresh mint at times since they grew it there on campus they liked when I could use what they were growing.
But I love Fresh lemonade.
I often shop at a global market here that has food for many cultures.
I found something called a sweet lemon a couple years ago.
It's so sweet you don't even have to add sugar to the mix. That worked out great because during those years I was cooking for 5 priest and one was a diabetic.
Have you ever had those type of lemons?
I'm not sure their origin but I'm lucky to have this market that has has loads of cool food that I can try.
Thanks for the video...
I think I'll make some lemonade tomorrow. You got my lips ready as my mom would say.
Oh Lori I love your intro! Especially the danceđ. Great video! Thank you for sharing. God bless yâallâ€ïž
Yum!
Nothing like fresh squeezed lemonade đ
I'm feeling stressed today and I love your videos. Brings you back to reality

I wish I could live a sustainable life! Thank you for all of your recipes!
I just got a box full of homegrown lemons from my father-in-law and I can't wait to make some fresh lemonade đ Perfect timing!
I see your wonderful cookbook behind your lemonade. Iâve tried a few before hubby had surgery and is on a liquid diet so no cooking for a while. I love lemonade but granny always had sweet tea and we have it daily.
