This is my first year showing a pig, and I only have one. So my question is how do I keep him from sniffing other pigs while in the arena? He hasn't seen other pigs in a while and when I took him to train with others today he would not stop sniffing them and wouldn't listen to me

Tonia Castro yes you have to use a whip for showing

At my fair, it you touch your pig at all, whether your tapping it or shoving it to go forward, you can get sent to the back of class. Use your whip

Go to the place that you get ur feed and just say you need a show stick, and they usually have the weaver brand ones, those are what I show with and my pigs don't have many problems with them.
