  • Adjustment is distinct from finishing. It's the small tweaks that take a finished reed from OK to EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED.

    Is that reed tied on with fishing line? Its behavior is what I'm dealing with on 3 reeds that were great when the day 2 scrape was finished, but small & weak later. I have a hard time getting the crow back once I lose it in a sides & corners adjustment, so thanks for showing exactly that.

      Oh, yes! It's monofilament line from ReedDesign - I bought it out of curiosity and SORT OF like it. It's cool looking, is the main thing. Glad this was helpful!

    Great content! When adjusting do you start with the back and only adjust the back or do you address both sides of the reed?

      I look at all sections of the reed when I'm adjusting - for symmetry and for balance, and usually work from the tip back.
