Yeah this was really great for her and I think she us genuinely stoked to be an alternate and I know we will be seeing more of her. It is so crazy to see the change in the culture, even in my own attitude-- I used to be like "welp. That's the end of the road for this gymnast" but now my immediate attitude is "ok cool, we will see you next quad and at world's and LA 2028"
This year was her healing journey...she is going to rock it out for the Razorbacks, with two Olympic Gold Medalists as her coaching. Stay healthy Josc. #LA2028
She is going to Paris!! She is one of our alternates which is a HUGE responsibility. We have used alternates many many times before. In any case, she will be back next quad and if she can continue to improve her form and artistry, she will be a big help for future worlds teams and possibly LA 2028 olympics
I wanted her on the team too but Hezly has a much stronger UB score and that’s what team USA needed with Shilese and Skye out. We already have vault and floor covered with Simone, Jade and Jordan.
She's quite likeable.. Yes she is not Shawn J, or any other but she has worked hard. Atypical body shape for gymnasts apart from her height, but she does have some skills. Her beam routine is packed.
Great routine! Managed to score 13.925 on both days, I feel like her 2nd pass is much improved as well as the wolf turn. Sadly wasn't enough for the Olympic team
It's not that she isn't enough, she just doesn't fit into this particular puzzle. We didn't need another vault/floor person. We needed Hezley for the UB and BB score she brings.
Because Jade Carey is better than her, and unfortunately they have the same specialties, which means joscelyn wouldn't have an opportunity to really contribute to the team in an impactful way. She would have needed to be strong on both bars and beam. Her beam is okay, but not competitive with what other countries are bringing. Hezley scores better consistently on the key events the USA is weak on. That's why.
No offense, but you must not follow gymnastics much. She is not a beam worker. We have soooooo many other gymnasts that are better on beam than Josc. We have Suni, Shilese, Skye, Tiana, Hezley, even Jordan and Jade and Leeanne can score higher.
even if she doesnt make this team, this is the full redemption from last year at worlds, so proud of her!

Yup!! We have 2 fabulous alternates to protect us in Paris. We have Josc to cover floor or vault and Leeanne can cover anywhere haha

Besides Simone, i think she has the most rounded beam routine. The acros are difficult as well. She may have been underscored on beam.
