Toto have welcomed many different band members across their long career but in the early nineties they had a short period as a four-piece featuring Steve Lukather (guitar & lead vocals), David Paich (keyboards & vocals), Jeff Porcaro (drums & percussion) and Mike Porcaro (bass). The line-up, with some additional touring members, performed this concert at Montreux in July 1991 and would go on to make the Kingdom Of Desire album released in 1992, shortly after the tragic early death of drummer Jeff Porcaro. The Montreux show, now being released for the first time, combines then unreleased tracks from the Kingdom Of Desire album with classic hits and covers of songs by Jimi Hendrix and Sly Stone. It is a perfect addition to any Toto fan’s collection.

This is an insane opener by a truly all stars band. Mike Porcaro being a badass as always, Jeff smashing like only he could, David styling on the keys and Lukather..un-freaking-touchable. I come back to this performance often as this track never saw a studio release and this is the best live version. Absolute crime they are still not in the Hall of Fame

A beautiful moment at 3:48, you can clearly see Mike say "Yeah, Steve!" looking at him, proudly, as if he was egging on his little brother.
You can really tell the camaraderie, fellowship and love runs deep in this line up. Steve Lukather really should've been born a Porcaro. Love this.

For me as a long time fan, it doesn't get much better than this. This is Toto at their tightest.

I remember the first time I watch a Toto video on MTV. It was "Goodbye Eleonore" and Jeff Porcaro was the one who caught my attention, first for his glasses and for his drumming. 35 years ago.

Now come on everyone, this is without a doubt the best live/back-up band ever with the best ever musicians that ever played!!! Jeff, best drummer ever, Mike, best bass player ever, Steve Lukather, the best ever guitar master and as a band always the very best!!! I lived in LA during their reign, and was a studio guy buy could never touch their greatness and their real feel. I am thankful to have even heard them never the less have met a few of them!!!!

From what I've heard on vid's Jeff did not like the spotlight. The whole Porcaro family is humble.. amazing. I MUST agree.. I want so much more of him.. he was phenomenal! Thankfully his music is still around. Can't forget Mike.

What an amazing band. It sounds as if a train passes by. Back then with the graet Jef Porcaro and of course Luke. I was 22 in those days and saw them live. Amazing they were and still they are in 2018. Toto rules.

You're living my dream when i was starting making music in 1988. Having good friends and making music together! Feeling the magic of the moments of creating pieces of music without much words. Oh sure watching the video is priceless. No doubt. But have a seat in front of a decent audio system, close your eyes, let it rip, and feel that groove get into your soul. All the subtleties that you can catch though out from this song are intoxicating for any one to drink in, musicians especially. Towards the end of the song you probably wont be stationary anymore. That's a good thing!
