You guys. I am kind of obsessed with Shadow and Bone.
I tried reading the books back in high school but couldn't really get into them, HOWEVER now that I've seen season one I am VERY intrigued and will be reading both series as soon as I can get my hands on them!! I DESPERATELY need to know how Kaz and Inej's story goes in particular because I am already DESPERATELY IN LOVE with them. As a ship and also as individuals. I basically just have a massive crush on every single character in this show.
I also? Made this entire video in a little over 12-13 hours? I had to spend an extra couple of hours on it since 1) I originally edited it in some invalid aspect ratio so I had to go back and manually change every clip and 2) Vegas was giving me rendering issues. HOWEVER, the bulk of the editing I basically did in one sitting, and it is somehow one of my favourite videos I've ever made, if not my favourite to date. How??

I just wanna say you captured everyone’s relationships perfectly especially Alina’s growth it’s absolutely amazing! I also love how you captured how Alina and the darkling’s relationship changed and her relationship with mal 🤯

This was the first music video that I ever saw of Shadow and Bone, and it's still by far my favorite! The song is absolutely perfect for the series, and the haunting vocals of this cover make it even better. Excellent use of clips and voice-overs. I got chills towards the end. Really, really well done.
I started watching the first episode last month, I was about 20 minutes in when I stopped because I thought it was boring. Watching this makes me want to go back and watch it 😅.

(also yes u should absolutely read the books, both the six of crows duology and the original trilogy, the storyline that happens in six of crows is actually totally different than the show (it's set after the trilogy so it technically hasn't happened yet) and the show is REALLY faithful to the trilogy so you'll probably enjoy the additional details)
@@idontneedaname318 YES I'm very excited to read them!! would it be a bad idea to read the duology before the trilogy tho or are they separate enough in timeline/story that it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things?
@@MockingJamieit doesn't really matter altho some characters from the trilogy make a minor cameo in the duology, but they're pretty much entire separate. AFTER that tho there's ANOTHER duology based on one of the characters who shows up latere in the trilogy but the b plot is with Nina, so you need to read both before you read that.

Very cool. I think you did a great job of highlighting the backdrop of darkness, despair, spite, and newfound strength present throughout Shadow and Bone. The series has a lot of overlapping themes and plotlines, but kudos - you were able to present a large theme in a cohesive music video!
Why am i just seeing this masterpiece? I've seen the trailer as well as other edits, but none compares to this. This is so enthralling, it's beyond what i'd call impressive. This edit got me hooked and more curious about this series. You've nailed my decision on wanting to watch this. You're really spectacular.
