    I enjoy hearing Brian's stories they are not only educational but they make me laugh which is not really easy as I've been fighting depression and anxiety. That's also why I watch Sonne Farm's. Thanks for making me and most likely everyone of your subscribers laugh and taking our minds off what's happening with the world during Covid-19

    Attach a wire from the ground rod to that barb wire fence. Everywhere the barb wire connects to a metal post will be a ground.

    Yep........looks like a clear cold day back home. Man do I remember that! Now I live in rain country........UGH I'd rather be in my Dak area. LIFE
    The cattle all look good, good size and healthy as can be. Good job.........so life goes on after harvest!

    Hoping your winter isn't too bad back there and the snow's not too deep. Looking a little more relaxed there and like the rush of harvest is calming and back into chill mode a bit. Hoping you get what you need to get at market for the critters.

    happened to me too last year, bear came close to our farm and the herd went nuts. They ran on the railway next to us almoust seven kilometers from farm. They ware heifers total of 40, but we succeed to get them back eventyally. I will NEVER forget it :D

    Brian and Cole you need to order some Grandpa Gus mouse repellant to put in the combine.You can get it online at any major retailer. It works! Welkers turned me on to it.

    It is great to watch you guys. I'm always curious how other farmers are doing and at what stage there are in the season of work. Sorry about the Canadian wind, that's one thing that can cross the border without a passport.

    When you're testing the wire use the back of your hand, less nerve endings.

      @@stijngmail They don't have a constant voltage on them. They pulse. They power up a capacitor and then do a sudden big jolt every second or so. So there's never any risk of clamping.

      Might try a simple voltage tester. There voltage testers that will tell you how many volts there are and point to direction of faults etc. 12.5 gauge wire or thicker for a perimeter 'hot' wire

    Build yourself a electric fence tester out of a broom stick handle, 2 stiff pieces of wire, a neon voltage tester and some electrical tape to hold it all together.

    Next time you touch a fence to test it, first grab a small green blade of grass and touch it with that. Enough resistance so you don't get juiced but not enough so you don't feel it.

    I use a burdezo 200 mile charger I want the goats to get a good zap when they mess with my fence. this past summer I was having a problem with the line charge and I looked all over you tube and most said it was my ground wasn't enough so I went to Lowes and got 3 8foot ground rods put them 10 feet apart and run my charge up to 7000 watts.     Them kettles are buggers for breaking down the electric fence, they have a ballot to see who is going to push through it. I felt your pain when you had to test it, a much better way of testing it is to pee on it......so I have been told.

    I know in the last video you were talking about piping air compressor hose around the shop great idea I worked on a golf course grounds crew and we had connections in like 3 places in 1 of our shops like 2 in another shop and then 2 on the wash pad too would highly recommend

    I cannot tell you how much this displaced SoDak girl loves watching your videos, especially as we get close to the holidays. All the farm memories!! ...and Brian's stories are so cool! Cole, your videography skills are among the best on CZcams. You have that 'knack' for timing that makes these so easy to watch, and you guys are so good together! Don't be surprised if a network comes calling to do a reality show. BTW... it happened to my very own first cousin, who is Mike Harris of the 'Dino Hunters' series on The Discovery Channel. They are shooting season two right now. He and I stayed close all these years. If a network DOES come calling on you, you should talk to Mike. Boy, does he have some info about the whole process :-0 Sorry I got sidetracked again (happens a lot these days). GOOD JOB!!!!
