- Welcome to Sonne Farms! On this channel we showcase numerous jobs a Corn/Soybean/Beef producing operation takes on each day. Hop in the cab or sorting alley with Cole, Brian, and Jeff, to see how life really is for the people that help feed the US and the rest of the world. In addition to Corn, Soy, and Cattle, Sonne Farms puts up grass and alfalfa and sells pure bred Black Angus Bulls in South Dakota.

Who else waits for the classic line..
"DID I EVER TELL YOU ABOUT"?
I always do
We need Sonne Farms shirts that say “Did I ever tell you about the time???”
Just, "Did I ever...." keep it short and sweet
With a sketch of Brian on the other side.
Second this!!!
Need a Shirt" Thats how I roll! "
&&& "Thats all I have to say about that"
Cole for a few years there, I kept most of the fence up for us. Don't remember cattle getting out on my watch! :P love you
Ha!
"Divine intervention", Brian. The prophetic statement in the huddle.
"I didnt know you were gonna leave me in there. That was rough." 😂😂😂
Your dad is the coolest dude lol... really enjoy your channel
Life is good. I got a Brian "Did I ever tell you..." AND "That's how I roll" all in one story. I feel better. Thanks Brian!
That is pretty smart using the wind breaks as shade in the summer. I like the concept.
Wow that last one coming outta the trailer I'd say is ready to sell for top dollar!😎👍
Hahaha
Comes with lots of stories and humor
Brian, that was very funny at the end. I enjoy your sense of humor. U have a relationship with ur son that can not be replaced. You are very fortunate. I've learned many useful things from both of u. Thank u.
Proudly wore my Sonne Farms hoodie when I went to vote Monday here in Sacramento! Heart of the CA Ag heartland: The Great Central Valley!! We Grow the food that feeds the World!
Thats pretty cool thanks!
@@briansonne814 Great shirt! Love the channel
“That’s how I roll!” 😂
Life is good. We got a Brian Story. The Slappy made its comeback!
Cattle feeding.
Today is a good day.
Love Cole reprimanding the cows!!!!
They love you and of course Dakota pellets! Lol
I enjoy hearing Brian's stories they are not only educational but they make me laugh which is not really easy as I've been fighting depression and anxiety. That's also why I watch Sonne Farm's. Thanks for making me and most likely everyone of your subscribers laugh and taking our minds off what's happening with the world during Covid-19
A buddy’s cows was always getting out on the road. My old man said to him, you graze your cows more on the road than the field. The look of defeat was priceless LoL
Hey Cole, those heifers can sniff out a hole in the fence like a dog can sniff out a dead groundhog for 2 miles away!🍁🍁🇨🇦
Your cow was hitchhiking to Vegas and it's good you caught her before she left.
Attach a wire from the ground rod to that barb wire fence. Everywhere the barb wire connects to a metal post will be a ground.
Thanks Cole! Love the video and love Brian’s football story! Good times! Get ready for winter!
I love your Dad's stories. They make the video make sense. So to add to them, do you know why you never see a dead raven by the road? Because there is always one on the fence saying car, car.
LOL I jumped when you touched that fence!! I hate touchin’ the hot fence!! You crack me up!!!
Yep........looks like a clear cold day back home. Man do I remember that! Now I live in rain country........UGH I'd rather be in my Dak area. LIFE
The cattle all look good, good size and healthy as can be. Good job.........so life goes on after harvest!
Love the shirt idea........with that saying on it .@ Joe D. Good idea!
Hoping your winter isn't too bad back there and the snow's not too deep. Looking a little more relaxed there and like the rush of harvest is calming and back into chill mode a bit. Hoping you get what you need to get at market for the critters.
Have a good weekend
Blessings
This was worth watching just to see Cole "test" the electric fence
Ending very believable, extra funny, poor Brian
Cow's sneaking off to the Black Angus Night club again.
Sneaky ole critters!
I just love ole Pops stories.
L.A. your dog is a great helper and sort of inspector too I think.
Oh goodness. Crazy camera angles...wonder where he hung the camera this time...just love all the farming. And Brian’s delightful sense of humor.
happened to me too last year, bear came close to our farm and the herd went nuts. They ran on the railway next to us almoust seven kilometers from farm. They ware heifers total of 40, but we succeed to get them back eventyally. I will NEVER forget it :D
were*
Cole, that cold wind was passing thru here from Alaska headed your way! Ha Ha.🍁🐃🍁🐃🇨🇦
Sounding more and more like Al Bundy at Poke High, keep up the stories Brian, you guys are the best!
Make a new segment for Dad...call it "Did I ever tell ya?" 🤣😂🤣😍
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🌞 Farms!!!!
Another great video ! Thanks for the entertainment !
Love your stories Brian!
Your dad is a funny guy. Keep up the awesome content.
OMG! Lots of laughs in this one! Thank you!
Your videos always brighten my day. 😃
Brian and Cole you need to order some Grandpa Gus mouse repellant to put in the combine. You can get it online at any major retailer. It works! Welkers turned me on to it.
It is great to watch you guys. I'm always curious how other farmers are doing and at what stage there are in the season of work. Sorry about the Canadian wind, that's one thing that can cross the border without a passport.
I wonder if when that one was running down the road were the others in the field cheering it on GO, GO, GO!
Thanks cole and brian 👍 have an awesome week god bless you guys 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for sharing.
Very good video .TY for sharing

Love your videos. Keep smiling 😊
You are so kind
your dad stories are awesome that make you different which is good keep it up sonne and father
When you're testing the wire use the back of your hand, less nerve endings.
also no chance of accidentally clamping the wire
@@stijngmail They don't have a constant voltage on them. They pulse. They power up a capacitor and then do a sudden big jolt every second or so. So there's never any risk of clamping.
@@stijngmail It's just a short pulse.
use the neighbors hand he he he
Might try a simple voltage tester. There voltage testers that will tell you how many volts there are and point to direction of faults etc. 12.5 gauge wire or thicker for a perimeter 'hot' wire
Thanks for the vidya Cole. And we your neighbors in Canada were raised to share. So enjoy the cold wind. Stay warm out there. 🇨🇦
Thanks! You too!
Thanks for the laugh at the end, I needed that right now.
I watched a video yesterday from about a year ago or so. You went and gave a talk on when you started utube. Very interesting. You should be very proud of yourself. Say hi to your dad he is so cute.
Wow, thank you!
Another Great story Brian about your prowess on the old gridiron. Thanks fellows and tell Jeff hello. Work safely !!!!!!!
We moved to a rural area in north TX 20 years ago and soon spotted a missing cow poster on a telephone pole. True story.
lol lov it
As always..loved it...
Great story Brian!
Dad, you are the best! I love your stories. Now I know you were a football star in high school. Awesome!
Never a dull moment on the farm one day is never the same as the next have a great day stay safe and good health to you and your family thank you for doing what you do
and we thank you for the colorado lows that bring us 6 feet of snow
You guys be safe out there see you next time 👍
Build yourself a electric fence tester out of a broom stick handle, 2 stiff pieces of wire, a neon voltage tester and some electrical tape to hold it all together.
Your Dad really makes your video's thanks for brightening my day.
Glad you like them!
Always love the saying your pops says Did I ever tell you about a time” so fun to watch this channel keep them coming Cole
Thanks so much
Next time you touch a fence to test it, first grab a small green blade of grass and touch it with that. Enough resistance so you don't get juiced but not enough so you don't feel it.
That is the most excitement you have had in a.long time. Lol
Your dad's the best!
Another fun video Cole! :)
I love your cattle operation
Thank you Stan!
Can't blame Alberta Canada we are at 59 degrees up here with beautiful Chinook winds
Canada says Your Welcome Cole!🥶🤣
Nice work man
Great video cole
Hey Brian,Cole, and Ellie.Always a good video. You have really nice looking cattle.
Thanks 👍
you testing the fence made me laugh ! remembering how I would get my cousins to test the fence when they would come to see Grandma from the City !! Then Grandma would Beat my ass when they would go home . !! Couldn't ever figure out why they liked to Pee on the wire !!
Nice looking cattles!
That was funny your Dad in the end good stuff lmao.

Around the 2:40 mark,.....#479 pink tag, is like,....."Is that all you got? This electricity don't scare me none"!!!

Prayers rising for your wife!
Sorry to hear about you wife sending prayers🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍
Love and prayers to the both of you from Scotland xxx
Praying for your bride. The election will turn out ok. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. (:
Prayers to you & your wife
That was a great story
Another good one men.
I use a burdezo 200 mile charger I want the goats to get a good zap when they mess with my fence. this past summer I was having a problem with the line charge and I looked all over you tube and most said it was my ground wasn't enough so I went to Lowes and got 3 8foot ground rods put them 10 feet apart and run my charge up to 7000 watts. Blessing's Herby
"Did I ever tell you about...." What fun that you have your Dad's stories recorded. You will enjoy them as time goes by. If I could have recorded my Dad's stories...
Hey you guys!
Them kettles are buggers for breaking down the electric fence, they have a ballot to see who is going to push through it. I felt your pain when you had to test it, a much better way of testing it is to pee on it......so I have been told.
Did I ever tell you about the time' ? it's becoming a bit of an institution Brian.
Stay safe guys.
Frosty.
I went to rutland school my whole life live about 3 miles from there. I cant believe they were good at one point in time 😂 thanks for the story!
Fixing fence is so nice.
Sounds like you had a birthday recently. So a belated happy birthday to you Cole🎂
Thanks so much
I know in the last video you were talking about piping air compressor hose around the shop great idea I worked on a golf course grounds crew and we had connections in like 3 places in 1 of our shops like 2 in another shop and then 2 on the wash pad too would highly recommend
Just subscribed. I could love that life !
Welcome!
11:48 your welcome my southern friend. Could be worse, you could have our winters. lol
I cannot tell you how much this displaced SoDak girl loves watching your videos, especially as we get close to the holidays. All the farm memories!! ...and Brian's stories are so cool! Cole, your videography skills are among the best on CZcams. You have that 'knack' for timing that makes these so easy to watch, and you guys are so good together! Don't be surprised if a network comes calling to do a reality show. BTW... it happened to my very own first cousin, who is Mike Harris of the 'Dino Hunters' series on The Discovery Channel. They are shooting season two right now. He and I stayed close all these years. If a network DOES come calling on you, you should talk to Mike. Boy, does he have some info about the whole process :-0 Sorry I got sidetracked again (happens a lot these days). GOOD JOB!!!!
Awesome, thanks!
I originally said PBS.. DH is on the Discovery Channel. I corrected it. That's what happens if Deb starts typing before that first sip of coffee hits the mouth hole :-)
" that's how I roll" Brian you are a god!!LOL
