The Gloaming Edited by Jeff Keiler
Thanks to Radiohead and everyone who contributed
On August 23rd 2009, a group of Radiohead fans descended on the Výstaviště Holešovice Exhibition Hall in Prague on a mission to capture the band playing using as many different angles as possible. Bringing together the exceptional talents of many contributors, here's a glimpse of the result. - Hudba
This is a song from the album Hail to the Thief, released in 2003, the year of the US invasion of Iraq. The album contains many songs against the war and the lies surrounding it. Thom Yorke felt this song The Gloaming (Softly Open our Mouths in the Cold) was "the most explicit protest song on the record ... I feel really strongly that it's about the rise of fascism, and the rise of intolerance and bigotry and fear, and all the things that keep a population down".
Three years later: listen and look around you ! Worse than could have been imagined well maybe not...
Oh my god!! Sick bass line, psychedelic lights and Thom's amazing dancing!!!
THE GREATEST version of this song ever!!!
Funny Ha Ha
Thom's really a good dancer, under-appreciated me thinks
I'm absolutely IN LOVE with this Guys! Radiohead became part of my life!
I came late to the Radiohead party to but I'm here now and will never leave. I couldn't exist without this musical drug ever.
@@tonygomez2288 Welcome to the party !

Great sound quality and video editing.
incredible phil here!!!
Jeff Keiler, I must say, from 2:23 onwards. Damn, dat editing, great job man. Awesome.
Audio always saves your video, but here you seem to have linked them beautifully during that climax, I could watch it over endlessly :P
its a warning for everyone , when we stop thinking and questioning ... 1984 is approaching.
@keilj07 agreed. the bass line is awesome!
I think Colin CAN dance - It's awesome how he feels the music :D
I didn't know that Thom can dance so well
magnificent shot at 1:56
I would give my fortune to dance like Thom.
@amyohead i like the studio version cause the hard core bass part which they kinda take out
@amyohead To be fair, they've never played the "studio" version live. I'm pretty sure this is the way they've always played it.
@amyohead They've been doing this version since the album came out. It's far and away the better version!
@keilj07 1:12 how i wish the cd version has this bass and drums :(
@ForwardAdam But he's adorable.
@dandelionhero rip the video´s audio with atube
Colin may not be the best dancer, but DAMN, that bass...
It was a bit out of synch for the last drum and bass bit, but besides that, great version!
A song for Dominic Cummings

Is it just me or does the rest of the band REALLY dislike this song?
+DonutUnderpants I think so too. Especially with an outro like that.
I dunno, I feel like Jonny and Colin both enjoy it. Jonny because of his crazy electronics and Colin because of the naughty funk bassline.
+DonutUnderpants
It looks like Phil dislikes every song.
colin loves it
