  • MATERIALS LIST BELOW!
The "Thread Frenchie" is essentially a modified "Frenchie." Designed by Lance Egan, the Thread Frenchie is different than the original pattern in profile and simplicity of material choice. Instead of wrapping the body with pheasant tail which creates a little bulk in the abdomen, the fly is simply dressed with UTC 70 thread. This variance from the OG pattern creates a more slender body which fare's well against picky fish and/or low flow winter conditions. The slender body causes the fly to cut through the column quicker and is a really quick fly to get the hang of. If you're still fishing non-jig bead-head flies with a brass head, consider switching things up for the jig presentation with a slotted tungsten bead.
