Hi guys. My sons, who are twins, and I are excited to get into Bolt Action in a big way this year. We have been watching videos, have units for German, US and hey, Italian troops and vehicles. Also some buildings and battlefield terrain. We are building models and watching lots of videos. So glad to have discovered your channel.
Thanks for this video. It was really informative. With the new plastic Italians out I am working on an Italian army. The Sicily book is really interesting. There is another new book on Kickstarter by Valhalla games all about the invasion of Sicily, even more scenarios. It looks really good too.

Great video, keep in mind, this book only covers sicily and Italy to the end of 1943. There will be another book covering the rest of the Italian campaign.
I use a few pistol welding types for my MMG team and panzerfaust and loader for LMG's on a few of my other various Soviet squad members as they didn't have to take any points in doing so unlike a SMG option. Sure it only has a 6" range but if you are that close you might as well go and do an assault against another infantry unit at that range.
The short answer is no. The long answer is, this book contains a series of scenarios that describe part of the operation "Husky": the ally invasion of Italy. Additionally it contains army rules and some new units for both Axis and Allies forces mostly centered around those theaters. - Salvo

You are right! There is a place for pistols but it is very situational. Even better if you don't pay for them - Salvatore.
