great video. my new home is almost done with construction, and there are many areas in the home i will want to add some custom storage/touches to... your channel is going to help me with that greatly. any recommendations on a basic set of power tools/items i should stock in my garage? or any projects to do first that might make everything else easier... like building a work bench?
Overall I'm in process of using your plans to build the file drawers and will add a bookcase on top of it later. If you have the bookcase drawings too that would be helpful. Good job, video was big help--thank you. Bob
Can you do the same but make it dual dressers instead of file cabinets on each side of a window with the dressers being 49" wide and with six drawers each with optional shelves or drawers beneath the window? Plus on top of the dressers I want shelves for books or fabric because I am a quilter with limited space. I just started woodworking at 61 and I am so stoked by the fact that I can build it for myself instead of asking my carpenter/woodworking husband to do it for me, though he would if he could but he is still recovering from Hodgkins Lymphoma and the chemotherapy has reduced his strength and endurance greatly, and now he suffers from neuropathy.

These are so nice looking, I think they will work great for my home office. Unfortunately, I don't use a lot of the social media's so I'm hoping you get this post and can answer a question I have. The location for this wouldbe placed under a window, so I would need to make it shorter which would cut down on the toe kick area, making my unit would 26" high. I can't see any reason this wouldn't work, but before I get into this, I thought I would ask you. Cutting this down wouldn't have any effect on the drawer or hanging files, would it?

Most of the CZcamsrs use a software called sketchup. They are free for personal use.
Yep @rogerthat is right. I use Sketchup Pro, but there are a lot of great 3D drawing programs out there!

Don't ever use mdf. Mdf chips super easily. And is just.... cheap.
