Like going into the middle of empty woods and seeing haunted tree stumps 🪵 and a literal child's grave. If I went there my skin would get goosebumps and I'd be shaking all over! Would you be willing to go here with a spirit box or leave a camera overnight?
I see it as touching, not scary. It shows that someone today still loves this lost child - a child they may never have known - to leave toys in sympathy. It brings a smile to my face and a tear to my eye.
I hate sounding like an old man, but show a bit of respect when you go to such places. Instead of approaching there as if it is a place to be feared, approach it as a place for peace. Whenever I go to a cemetery, I always pray before I leave; asking for the Lord to bless those souls that lie there. It’s a simple prayer, but is one I find to be strong.

There’s always broken beer bottles left there and last I went, there were bullet indents on the cemetery sign and some tombstones. Very disrespectful. I grew up near there and have visited the cemetery several times as a kid and then once as an adult. It was a popular place to go on Halloween so DnR would always be posted at the bottom of the hill, along the road to turn everyone away. Considering how much vandalism has occurred out there, I don’t blame them. I’m sure with all the ghost hunting CZcamsrs now, they’ve had a resurgence of visitors. You should also check out Tunnelton Tunnel and the abandoned Zooma-Flume at Lake Monroe that sits across from the cossway boat ramp. It was a mini water slide park that fed into the lake.
