I love the bears beside the best and cutest level up emote but they are beasts. I raised a couple and lived out on carno island and would just wipe the island solo.

do you know anything about polar bears in the cave? Yesterday I tried two bears at level 295 and both were killed. I used the drug darts, both took about 130 units .. What am I seeing wrong? The location was in the Ice Titan's Cave.
The cave direbears (polar dire bears) that are over the max dino lvls are not tameable. They are in there to wreck your face. ^^
They are untamable

For later in your series the megatherium also gathers a good amount of organic poly. Use it on rag for mantis and they eaten up.

Moschops is better for poly farm and way easier to tame! They get a harvest level up with every level that can be put into polymer gathering. My 250 mos gets 795 org poly from a dead whale on the beach (small tribes official)
If you have a snow owl you can use tranq arrows to knock out a bear just use the owl heal periodically so you don't kill it.
For all of the times you have a snow owl before you have a tranq gun

you can get up to lvl 300 dire bears in the ragnarok ice cave
did they update the torpor/health ratio, cause I had no problems tranqing these bad boys
How do you get 150 dire bears on the island? Even with difficulty at 1 and checking the force max lvl dinos option the highest I ever see are lvl 120. Unless it's in a cave.
Do you think its possible to solo the gamma bosses on Rag with bears?
I've seen people use wild tamed Bears to do the gamma bosses on Rag, so yeah. My current breeding line can handle a lot more. They are born with ~6k Health, ~3k Stam, and ~620% Melee, after levelling they can easily hit ~30kish health and 1.2-1.4k Melee. Absolute monsters for PvE, and a lot easier to maneuver the groups of them around. I do use official stats/levelling settings, but higher breeding rates so I imagine being mammals most people don't breed them because mammals take a lot more constant work to breed, not saving up eggs to spam a big hatching session.

Just crouch, equip ghillie and bug repellant and feed it rare flowers passively. Its incredibly easy

Yes, you can find them in the red woods and next to snowy mountains on almost all maps.
Are you small or did the bear get bigger?
To tame at a low level and not kill it is whenever it starts getting low health either kill yourself and let the bear it your body so it regains health or feed it a random animal to regain health

they are cheat tamed, not perfect tamed... gee
