Shan you are doing a great job girl. Bless up.
Shan. horseman is the best farmer u interview. Full a vibe.
Lol thank you
Him proud of himself and I proud of him like he's my family! Big up all the farmers, the backbone of the country yet we seem to be neglected! Nuff Love!
People, don't sleep on the beet root leaves!. The leaves can be used the same way we do callaloo and spinach. When I plant beets, I harvest the leaves until they are farmed. I also wash the leaves .nicely and sprinkle with salt and pepper and roast them in the oven, the same way as kale leaves. Beet root leaves are boss
Thanks for sharing.. so the ones in the supermarket, I can clean and prepare them.like kale?
I was wondering if they could be eaten like I have eaten turnip greens, thanks!
I love beet root leaves. I used it in my smoothy, steamed it, and added to tossed salad.
U need to do a next interview with horseman.
Just came across this video-very inspiring to see the love and care this gentle has for farming. I didn’t even know beetroot grew in Jamaica. I wish we could get more Jamaican produce in the States, because I know the quality and taste far exceeds what is sold here! You should do a follow up to see how he’s doing. Great content.
Real soldier doing his thing blessings to you both

Question was there always this much fertilizer used on the farms in Jamaica?I I know we’re all going to die one day but too much fertilizer can be scary because we are not sure what is the side effects of some of the products used to speed up the growth process

Great job you are doing just a fyi you can stream the leafs of the beet with salt fish. Its a good eating
I love eating beet leaves, I hope that he sells the leaves as vegetables. It's very tasty, if he doesn't sell it, that's a waste. Sometimes here in France I get to buy beet leaves on the beets.
I love beetroot....you should try the beetroot greens too. I buy the beetroot and steam the green part and make juice with the purple part.
Beetroot are good for high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes, in addition to enhancing the immune system. Beetroot contains, fiber, folate (vitamin B9,) Manganese, potassium, iron, vitamin C. A wonderful power source. I adore Beet and carrot juice combined. Absolutely delish...Horse man a gwan good eno.
