One of the greatest pleasures I get from watching your videos is your ability to take thrift items and make them incredible. My mom raised three kids alone and we literally lived in the most expensive zip code because she wanted the best for us. She never purchased new clothes for herself. She thrifted everything. I grew up going thrifting with her. I would play while she looked for clothes. She is great at sewing too! She made me the greatest boxer shorts from all fabric remnants. Actually she made 2! I wore those as my pajamas for years! I never forgot them. When I went to college I was on an insane budget and thrifted all my clothes! I had so many YSL and Dior shirts and this was before it was cool to thrift. I’m always greatful for those who can thrift and show the beauty in it.
OMG In the ‘early ‘60s mom would go hopping to the “second hand” stores I grew up with some of the best of the best NY, NY had great great stuff! I still have gorgeous Christmas ornaments, etc from my mom I can’t part with them I know they’re extremely expensive today! There were four of us @ home and I love love love still going thrifting I don’t need to, but I want to! ❤❤❤
Mr A I’m with you, wholeheartedly
@@emguilbe that’s great that we have these shared experiences. In addition we learned how to scope nice things out!
I cannot believe you always happen to find almost exactly what you’re inspired by at the thrift store! And what a thrift store you must live near! None of my local ones typically have great finds like that! I’m always looking too! You’re super lucky!! Great job!
I was going to say the same thing!
I’ve worked and volunteer in charity shops in 🇬🇧 and even we don’t have anything like this unless someone donated it
I wonder too 🙂
My thoughts ALSO!lol
Xmas decor looks pretty.
Wow ! Loving the plain wreath with the rustic bell. Looks so simple no plaid or any kind of bows on it . Just simple beauty !
Swapping out the leaves and cedar was genius! I love your style and tips. Thank you for being such an inspiration on living elegantly frugally.
Not only are your ideas gorgeous and money saving, they are also great for the environment 🌎 💕
Advent calendar idea- small burlap or cotton bags, write the numbers on the bags or add small wooden beads through the string and write the numbers on the beads or glue small tags on the front of the bags with the numbers written on them. Hope you enjoy these ideas 😊 Love your creations & dupes💜
i had a similar idea with the little tiny treat boxes you can get at dollar tree. BUT i like the burlap bag idea better! 😍Happy Christmas to you!
I think you may actually be a thrift store genus--I love the idea of changing the leaves on the floral stems.
Place and time is a brand of decor available at Joann. Love your eye for possibilities!
That wreath with that bell is stunning
For a DIY Advent calendar; I saw someone use cardboard toilet paper rolls stuffed with treats then wrapped in tissue paper. Then use numbered stickers at the end of each. Stacked within your tree that might work. Love all your ideas; great use of extra materials!
Thank you so much for the idea of swapping out the floral in the fall arrangement 🤯 I never would have thought about it and now I’m excited I can keep my favorite vessel with fall floral and use it year round ❤
So many good finds at your thrift stores! Your local stores are stocked with great things!! I loved the bell and wreath for the front door. Thanks for the wonderful ideas!
Place & Time is Joann Fabrics! Beautiful and inspiring!
I think it was so clever of you to Change out the fall leaves to attaching the spare spruce sprigs! Lovely decor.
That gold metal deer would look awesome with hand towels in it on your bathroom counter….also. Try only doing odd numbers of ornaments like three or five in a bowl….it’s easier on the eyes….great job…merry Christmas
Advent calendar idea: folded paper boxes for each day set on the wood shelf part. Whatever you want put inside the folded boxes...
Yay!!! Thank you!!
Brilliant idea!
Dollar Tree has small wooden boxes in their craft section. I have seen folks use those.
Wow, you are not only talented with a fantastic eye for decor styling, and highly skilled at DIYs, you are BRAVE too! I wouldn't have thought to try plucking off all those burgundy leaves from the expensive Studio McGee potted plant, and even if I had, I'd have worried I'd ruin it. The 'cedar bush' looks fantastic, great job on that!!!
Great job finding awesome substitutes for high end decor! Usually when I have found nice stuff at the thrift store, it is more expensive than what you find. But you remind us all that with a little ingenuity, you can have nice things at a fraction of the price. 😊
Holiday gift box tops make great holiday pictures to frame.
As always, your ideas ALL look perfect. Not too much fuss but elegant and relaxed. Thanks for the ideas
Love the cow bell on the door .
Place and Time is a brand carried by JoAnn Fabrics stores. Beautiful projects!
I just found your channel and I am so impressed! Your eye for detail and design is inspiring, and very budget-friendly. Truly wonderful trades/ inspirations/ dupes!
Love the bell wreath. Loved the picture and the rou d pillow. Very nice and Oh yeah the throw.
Great idea to put that beautiful bell in the center of your wreath!
Another way you might use the champagne deer: you could see if a pie plate or bowl fits in the upending. It might be a great way to serve holiday appetizers or treats...
Oooo this is a great idea too!!!
Or maybe rolled Christmas hand towels in the bathroom?
My favorite advent calendar growing up was one where each day was a little ornament that you got you put on a small tree. It's one of my favorite holiday memories. What if you made a square base for the bottom of the wood tree with 24 little drawers/doors just big enough to put a tiny ornament in. Then put tiny c hooks spread through the 3 layers. Put all the little ornaments on pre strung ribbon so they can hang at different heights. And voila! You have an advent calendar they can look forward to decorating year after year!
Wish I had a great thrift store like yours !!
I would leave that shelf tree as is. It looks spectacular as a statement on its own.
Place and time is JoAnn Fabrics I think. As always, amazing thrift finds!
WOW, I don't know what Thift Store you're going to but the ones in my areas aren't anywhere close the winning you are coming across,... Love all your ideas & decorating.
Get BRASS CLEANER and shine up the brass bowl you thrifted. It will be more eye-catching. Brilliant--swapping out the fir stems for purple leaves! Love the way you did that. God bless you for presenting this video!
All thrifts well done, good for the environment. I liked the wreath best too.
Great video. You sure do have some great thrift stores. Place and Time is Joann's Fabric by the way.
I love how you move without lingering over everything. Thanks for that. Love your channel and i love to thrift so I subscribed 💕
Fia, I think I would number twenty=five bells and place a small treat underneath it. After all bells have been turned over you will still have a decorated piece. Great dupes !!!
Woooow, I feel like you are the luckiest thriftshopper...I seem to be not able to find these beautiful finds...very pretty and well done!
Your thrift stores are mind blowing. We usually have a couple of shelves of ‘bric-à-brac in the British charity shops if we’re lucky 😏. I would be like a child in a sweet shop over there. I love it when you do these videos and you create stunning decor and vignettes. I make advents every year, and have tried different themes. Sometimes in a basket, or hanging from a branch or hoop. Could you place a basket on each shelf and pop little tissue wrapped gifts with numbers on? sometimes I use striped sweet/candy bags. One year I cut out paper stars and popped chocolates in them. I sewed these of my sewing machine, but you could hot glue them. I buy round labels and put together decorative numbered labels and run them through the printer.
You must have a great thrift store👍🏻🎄
I can't get over how expensive those inspiration stores are, AND what amazing finds you come across in the thrift stores!! And you are very creative.
Great video. The art leaNing on your shelf looks pretty.
Wow beautiful throw. I love your format
Hello, you can use building blocks to make the calendar. I loved all the projects on this videos. You have inspired me. Thanks for sharing 🎄
great PB dupes! The Place and Time brand is from Joann Fabrics :)
loved that you showed washing the pillow cover. I cringe a lot watching "thrifting" videos and people buy fabric pieces and take them right home and put them on their bed seemingly without a thought of the prior owner or the possibly of bed bugs.
The wreath!👍🏻👍🏻🌲
Advent calendar idea- string lil pouches row by row (more pouches obviously on bottom row than higher rows).
Love the items you found and how you use them. Hard to find good items at our thrift stores. Love the videos. Love to see more. Lynda
This video got me so excited to start decorating/DIYing for Christmas!!!! 😍
Amazing I am addicted to watching these videos ❤️ Thankyou from Australia 🇦🇺
The pillow is beautiful.
You did it again. Everything is beautiful!!
WOW you found some really awesome pieces at the thrift store which I love. I'm never been that lucky but it's still nice to see what others are finding. I really enjoyed this video. I'm more into the traditional Christmas look as well. Love everything you put together 🎄🤶🦌 ☃️
Yay thanks so much Marla!!
You win! Best dupes I’ve seen, period. Thank you!
Place and time brand is Joanne fabrics store items. Nice find. Joanne fabrics is also a great place to find decor and they always have 50-70% off during the different season times.
You really found some awesome items! The bag of cedar was a lucky find! I love your decorating style!🥰
I have now binged watched some of your videos and of course subscribed. You have a very good eye for design! Thanks for taking the time to put these videos together!
You can also usually get a bunch of evergreen branches FOR FREE in your yard or outside somewhere if you live in a cold climate! I love doing that 🙂 nothing beats natural foliage 🙂
Great job!! For the advent calendar idea….use small brass hooks and have hanging little tiny stockings ( made or dollar store) just big enough for a treat and a peice of a paper on where to find their special advent treat.
Your wreath was amazing!…great stuff- all of it…subscribed.
This entire video is amazing! Well done, and thank you!
Wow swapping out the leaves was something I never thought to do! Sometimes when I find those small blankets, I’ll piece two or three together kind of like patchwork. As for the advent calendar, you could find a variety of smaller jewelry boxes that can stack inside and number them.
Adding to the wreath was lovely. The bell was the perfect touch! The clay vessels with greenery are perfect. I am excited about a simple Christmas this year, and that is exactly what I plan to do.
I really enjoyed your ideas and look forward to trying many of them. Thank you!
You have such a great sense of style! Love watching you transform things!!!
Replacing greenery or leaves on existing stems is so brilliant! Thank you!
I need a tour of ypur thrift store bc I've been SCOURING thrift stores and I have NEVER seen any like yours as organized with so many nice options priced soooo cheap.
I love your thrift flip videos! Thank you ❤
Great dupes!! Everthing turned out amazing!!
love the ideas.. place and time is from Joanns fabric store.
Wow absolutely stunning
GENIUS!!!! You are so inspiring!
This is Tess from Arkansas. Today I was watching design to the nines. She did an adorable advent calendar it’s a lot different than yours. But I think you could kind of mimic a few things that she did and it would work out beautiful on your piece. It was episode amazing hi end DIY decor for Christmas. And it came out today. Anyway have a good day.
I love your ideas and finds! The florals and wreath with the rustic bell is stunning!
Another great video. Thank you for sharing
You could just pin small envelopes along the front edges. If you want to give them bulkier items, give them scavenger hunt directions to the spot where the kids can find the treats.
You are so creative, I find more nurses that can see a bigger picture when it comes to care! You are an inspiration for your decor and I bet an awesome practitioner!
These were all really good finds. I love all your pottery barn dupe videos. I would love to see a holiday home tour of your home.
Beautiful and so clever.❤️
I just love your channel. I get so many ideas. 👍🏻
Great idea, thank you for sharing.
Love them all so beautiful
You always have the classiest diy's!
Great $$ saving ideas. Thanks for sharing. Love the change of fall leaves to Christmas season decor.
I enjoyed this video very much, blessings.
Such great finds! A Target or TJMax Christmas decor video would be great.
Absolutely beautiful and love from Australia 💕
Your finds were just as nice as PB's if not nicer. Where I live I seldom find anything comparable to what you find at your stores.
Fantastic savings n still looks great. We'll done IRELAND
Oh my Oh my...transformation at its best!! As with every week, you bring 100% of your talent. Love it all!!. For the advent calendar, not sure if this would work but could you some how pin up all around the tree those tiny little jewelry type bags that we can find at the dollar stores or perhaps make your own? In each one put your little trinket. Just an idea.
Thanks again for some great ideas!
🤗🤗🤗
You do budget friendly beautifully!
Fabulous ideas, as always! ❤ I love your office paint color. Do you mind sharing brand + color, please? 😊
Oh my goodness you are so talented. I lov all your stuff that you got at the thrift stores and Good Will. Beautifully done.❤️❤️❤️
Loved your ideas as always. Perhaps add one more solid ornament to the brass bowl creating an odd number. Our thrift stores have much higher prices unfortunately. All coffee mugs are 2.99!!!
Great video. Lots of inspiration!
You did great on all of it. ❤
Loved this! Thank you ❤️🎄
I like an idea I saw where you take the artwork out of the frame, place the empty frame against a wall and lean the artwork against it catty cornered.
Advent tree idea--use Christmas cards to make small origami boxes to keep the treasures.
You always have such great ideas! thanks :)
